Boudreaux from Thibodaux Awesome... I remember when I first got mine, I couldnt put it down... very comfortable gun... I still thoroughly enjoy mine...
@@gunsammodrones + What's your opinion of the long term reliability of these guns? I've had someone tell me they dont have a long term life span. Supposedly parts wear quickly & fail.
I bought my TH9 about 3 months ago and I love it for all the same things you said in your video, I played around with the backstraps I prefer the large the best. just an all round fun gun to shoot.
I bought mine February 19’. After purchasing g2c in 18 sept. I took a chance on the TH9. It has theeee smoothest slide. It shoots straight the feel is awesome. I own glocks and picked up a fn 509 tactical and this sucker is really nice for the price. No jams ,,,,, highly recommended.
Guns, Ammo and Drones for $245 to Alaska it’s a great pistol,,,,, between the 2 spent only $455. FN 509 tactical $900. Huge difference. I like the fact you can narrow the hand grip or enlarge it on TH9
I have this Taurus th9 full size for $275 from my local pawnshop. It feels great in my hands. I haven’t shot it yet but I carry it concealed with no problem. Nice review.
Over three thousand rounds though mine now! And the only problem is the front sight is loose!! ......hell! No big thing! Just gotta get the right size Allen wrench and booh yah!! Back in business!! It's one hell of a range gun! I wouldn't trust my life behind it!! But to be honest!! I think that's only because of chattering!! My God! It's first day on the range I fired at least four hundred rounds!! And perfect!! They definitely stepped up there game!!
Yeah I have all the torches and twins to them besides this one. However I am just now getting into Caniks TP-9SFX and let me tell you what until you hold one in fire one you have no idea you should look into it
I was looking at buying one today same model and all but the one they had wasn't ambidextrous, didn't have the decocking mechanism or slide lock lever on both sides. I'm guessing the one I was looking at was an older model?
How long did it take from time of purchase to picking up the pistol, im thinking about using buds gunshop but don't want to wait 30 days to pick up my pistol
I've never seen one at my local gun store but I've seen several online. Great looking gun, but I was wondering about the hammer, is it actually steel because on video it looks like a polymer
Its made very well... Im not a big fan of the slide finish on any of the Taurus pistols but the price is right or was and the gun is made well... Havent had a single issue shooting it
malik qamar I use GunBroker.Com to buy some guns... Guns are cheaper, usually no tax... BudsGunShop.Com is also another great place to buy guns... Those are my top 2...
malik qamar Also you need to prove you are legally allowed to buy a gun by filling out paperwork and having a background check done at time of purchase...
they are not roll pin tools they are security keys for the locks they used to have on all their guns (the hex key part) and the other one (the smaller end) is for adjusting sights in their models with adjustable rear sights (im a pt111 g2 owner and it has the hex key lock) im guessing they still include them for the use you described but that is certainly not its primary function
darktrojan00 No security key needed with the TH9... They are for adjusting the sights but they dont fit very well... I have used them to push out backstrap pins... Havent used it since I got it... Almost useless
The security hex key end of the tool does not have an application I have found on TH9. The manual makes zero reference to it, my case had two of the tools included, adding to the mystery I guess
@@neuromanglers thats because taurus probably made a shit ton of security keys for when they had that system in their guns, hell they even had them on their revolvers lol, Im guessing they include them for shits and giggles
I just picked up the TH9c a few days ago! Feels like a solid firearm. One guy on here did ask if anyone knows of the longevity of Taurus handguns. This is my first Taurus so I am also curious. If anyone has any of the TH series or even the G series, what are your experiences? Thanks!
I also have the G2c and the G3 which I would trust these guns with self defense... My G3 is my truck gun... I also have a Curve and Spectrum .380’s... nice guns
Guns, Ammo & Drones thanks for reply, man! I’m even impressed that you get actual Novak sights with it too (aren’t those common on 1911s?). Anyways, great video: subscribed
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Im sure some 1911’s have Novaks... My 1911 which Im working on that video has the original design sights which are actually part of the slide... No option to change them... The same sights that came on the original 1911’s 100+ years ago
No tax...I was about to order from buds when I saw the tax added I cancelled, they don't have a location in my state but said they were required to add state taxes, not paying tax then have to pay an FFL dealer a fee
You're better off finding one in one of your local stores anyway, so you don't have to wait for shipping. Not every store is gonna have these tho. For the most part, I see stores carrying the G2C and the G3. A lot of people that like Taurus don't even know this gun exists, because it's not as popular as the small striker fired carry models
Gunbroker has a few from 424.00 up to 599.00 I actually cant believe that… Thats crazy… You could find them cheaper somewhere but I usually trust Gunbroker
Hunter Davis mine fits in a few leather holsters I have for my Glock 17/19... Obviously you could just get a holster for the PT809 or this one but there are alot of holsters out there that just so happen to fit multiple guns
March 26, 2020, I just bought one today from Academy, but the dark green & black.
ABSOLUTLEY LOVE IT!!!

@@gunsammodrones thanks for getting back but after some research I found out that the one I was looking at was the compact version

Yes it does
What about some of that super silly sticky shit, how would the hand grip deal with that.
Im not sure what sticky shit you are referring too but the guns grip texture is as aggressive as say M&P’s… Im sure you could fire the gun fine

Not crazy about the color. Looks like a toy. I have this in my Wish List box on Buds site, but in a .40, Black. Good luck with it!
