I love his water sounds the most! I really don’t know how he makes that sound, it’s amazing.
I see why! It's the most amazing thing!😂. Gizzard really makes my day! And why doesn't Giz call the doggie by name? I guess it would get complicated. I'm surely happy with Giz and Mom sharing so much!
I will never understand how parrots can reproduce some sounds.. for instance, Giz can make the water sound and the sonar sound. It's amazing.
The set timer parts were comedy gold. Giz is so smart, and you are wonderful pet-parents!

i'm a nurse, and a client i had, had a parrot named Torquill. I had never known any bird before Torquill. I loved Torquill, we had a good acquaintance. This one evening shift, I"m getting his human into bed. I had a walkie talkie on me, and my walkie talkie ring tone was a special ring and Torquill rang me 3 times before I caught on that it was Torquill ringing me, and not one of my co-workers lol. Once I figured it out, and looked at Torquill well he was laughing at his trick on me! Torquill knew I knew it was him and he started laughing and chortling, bobbing and weaving and stomping he was so excited at his trick lol. Ever since then.. I've been very aware of the Parrots.. and their complete understanding of human behaviors.
🙌🏻 yes!! They 💯 find it so funny when they play tricks or do silly things. I know Giz loves to see our reactions. They are so smart.

These birds are so, so clever! The amount of sounds they can make and they sound so real! I've gained a new appreciation since being around African Greys, Gizmo is such a chatterbox! ♥️

My daughter who is nine years old is fascinated by Gizmo. She is wondering if the conversations are "real". I am just wondering what a real conversation it and what it means to understand.

No question he understands. These birds have the intelligence of a about a 3-7 year old. If you want more confirmation. Go to Alex and Me or stuff from Dr. Irene Pepperberg. Also Apollo is truly epic. He’s about 2.5 years old and is incredibly smart. I love Gizmo because he is so smart but also conversational. I would love to have one however I am now too old. They live up to 80 years old…sometimes longer, although because of issues in captivity they can get diseases they would never get if they were wild. I love that Kyle and Emily adopted Gizmo. They know the commitment and have a plan for Gizmo should he outlive them! Responsible parrot ownership. 💞🤎🤍❤️🧡💛

I love Gizmo's creativity + ability to train his human to do whatever he likes. Including count to a whopping 1 over and over and over. Beep.
By the way, Giz's beep sounds eerily like the motion activated door sensor a Grey, of a friend from long ago, would make. EVERY time the darn bird would chime I would look towards the door. Even if I just walked in 🤣. Every. Beeping. Time.
