Thank you! Just what I was searching for, when I was searching for it! I have a closet full of various fabric shoes (mostly white) & you provided the insight I was desperately seeking. I've been holding the nano in my hand for months but couldn't press down, for fear of discoloring. Bought a cheap pair of whites and went for it. Just as you described, it's 100% Effective. Now I'm addicted to sprinkling water on my shoes! ❤😊❤😊
I brought all my favorite shoes out & lined them up like little science experiments. All so sparkling and clean. I emptied a can of nano on them. But it wasn't enough. I quickly learned, it can be spread too thin. There aren't any good videos about it but there is a method of application you have to adhere to. I learned while listening to you. There's: a can to shoe ratio - but no one is mentioning it. You could add that to your library. Just saying 😊
Thanks for the info, very helpful, I've bought a lot of Samuel WIndsor Shoes and Boots recently and want to protect them, these are shoes built to last a lifetime.
The "lotus effect" comes from the flower, the flower is water and dustproof. Nothing stays on it, it rolls over. NASA discovered when they needed something for their space suits and all pieces of equipment to be dust-free. Hance, Nanotehnology.
Saphir is great if you need to clean and care for your suede But Nano is they way to go if you need something to stay waterproof for a long period of time... Anyways that's what I've noticed! 👊🏼 Edit: I spoke too quick Man knows his s*** 🤣👊🏼
Great video thank you for the info. On companies whit holding the some of the active or in active ingredients info on their labels is true but if you want to obtain all the ingredients it’s possible they should have a page on their website that has an MSDS form for a few reasons on is when distributing any aerosol or chemical on an airplane the MSDS form has to be printed and attached to the shipping box.
can't find the Saphir stuff anywhere.,... just the Renovateur ... but I can get the Nano.... question is, if I use the Nano on Suede boots... will I still be able to apply conditioner (Renovateur Spray) or shampoo them later? or are they now forever impregnated with waterproofer?
The Saphir waterproofed is out of stock everywhere right now due to supply chain problems. The nano will come off the smooth leathers because you should be using a conditioner or polish that 99% of the time for smooth leather has waxes in it. Only thing is you will have to clean it before reconditioning and at that time the waxes from the polish will come off with the nano
Does the can say 24hours? I didn't read that, maybe I missed it. I just applied 1 coat of Saphir on my Cole Haan Men's Originalgrand Cloudfeel Energy Merid Pt Oxford Summer Casual Shoes, which are a NuBuck Leather feel to them. I don't have s problem waiting, I caught your video just in time 🤦🏼♂️ I only Use Saphir on my Red Wing Olive Mojave Suede Leather as well as My Muleskinner Boot and Shoe Collection from Red Wing. The reason I use Saphir is it will come off when using a suede shampoo to clean your suede or NuBuck Shoes or Boots. Those Silicone Based Waterproofing spray are almost impossible to come off. I would use that cheap stuff on boots I plan not to clean or really care about, but for good Suede and Decent looking Shoes like Cole Haan I would only use Saphir. Thanks for sharing.
For real. I appreciate his thoroughness, but personally I could babble in great detail about any one of my hobbies and passions for literal hours on end; doesn't mean someone wants to sit through all that. I just watch videos like these at 2x speed
Just the outside. It doesn’t 100% make the boots waterproof it’s to make the materials repel the water so they don’t get damaged not to keep your feet dry. The tarrago nano is the one I recommend for hiking boots
Tarago nano ya superior In other brands. But you need tarago in all your shoes not. Probably for shoes with retail prices below $100 any protectant spray will do the work. Inclusive kiwi and griffin. For quality suede, tarago is your brand

Best video I’ve seen on this subject.

Saphir and Tarrago are now owned by the same company Avel.
Saphir have also a nano invulner (not Medaille d'Or), maybe it's the same as tarrago.
Saphir has two invulner?
@@jewfro888 yes

NASA didn't discover it, lol. People have known that about the lotus for centuries.
Which one would you use on a quality Tan color “full grain rough-out” cowboy boots ?
How do you remove tarrago? Without ruining the suede
Thanks for this video..just bought oiled nubuck boots. Which product would you recommend for those

But the nano is too good that you can't even put some conditioning on them later
That was a fantastic video! It was very helpful and in depth.
Is there a video showing the application? Wondering how much to use. Do you saturate? Light application?
About a medium coat is what I like. So basically when you just start noticing that the leather is wet
"Trying to be funny..." you did make me grin :)

So I guess if I wanted to waterproof a wool cape and make it last forever without prospect of washing it Tarrago would be a better choice?
Great and informative video. Thanks!

Which one is good for faux leather/synthetic leather boots and shoes?

In your opinion, I can use Tarrago whit NB 2002 Protection pack and whit the Nike Jordan 1 Chicago "Lost & Found"?
How are these products on knit sneakers like yeezys or boost?
25 mins and no demo.... You realize this is video, yes?

Mineral Spirits is NOT water based. It is 100% petroleum distillates.
Would you recommend the saphir for calfskin leather ?
The Snow seal I have is Bee's wax
hello I'm in Italy and I always follow you
can you tell me there between OMNIDAIM Saphir and Saphir Omni'Nettoyant......thank you
Google ad words could help you get more views. Love your band twiddle , lol
Can i use saphir on goretex trekking boots
Yes there are no harsh chemicals or silicones in it
@@CobblersPlus thank you for assistance 🙏
Can they used on smooth leather like nappa, calf skin? which one would you recommend? Thx
You can use both however if it’s a nice pair of shoes I would polish with a wax and that will help waterproof them
I have hiking shoes I want to waterproof. Would you recommend the nano? And doesn’t it prevent beathability? Do you do the inside of the shoe as well?

@@CobblersPlus Thanks. I will try it. Have you ever tried liquiproof ? It’s supposed to last a really long time.
I'm thinking about using tarrago for canvas boat shoes over the Saphir. Do you think that would be a good idea?
Yes for canvas I would use the Tarrago
