So if National Geographic isn't down to do justice ima start by saying thank you Chukchansi, Big Sandy, Tachi, Choinumni tribes to name a few for allowing us on your land because this was your land to start with. We also honor all those Native Americans who we lost during genocide in the 1600's. You will always be remembered. Comment any other tribes you would like honor

@@carterebert2260 Lol The poor friendly colonists/invaders are being blamed for no apparent reason....When the Europeans arrived, the evil Native Americans vanished into thin air, and were not slaughtered by the colonists. Oh, that is exact same incidents ensued in most (more like, all) British Colonies too....The Natives were so cruel and unwelcoming to the British, that they started to disappear upon their arrival, out of hatred. But not only in North America, but Australia, NZ, and South Africa too (alongside the other colonies too)...
      Amazing!!!!

    • @planetmikusha5898

You'll have to excuse the poster's ignorance. The truth is that the Pilgrims were down to between 50-60 (men, women, and children) and were incapable of committing genocide And from the historical record, the Colonists did not fight the Wampanoag tribe for 50 years after the Thanksgiving feast of 1621. The later war was called King Phillip's War.

How about we simply spend a day actually being thankful for our many blessings here and now and drop all the mythical bs stuff? The real situation back then was not as told. Who doesn't know that by now? Pilgrims behaved badly. Indians were practicing 'real politik' vs wars with other tribes and all that. So, let's focus on now and our own lives and blessings, regardless of race or creed. Harvest blessing celebrations are ancient in all cultures. Let's go with that, hm?
