Your straightforward approach to videography and non use of music with the natural sounds of door opening, feet shuffling, beer pouring on glass, sliding drawers and so on is therapeutic. I always need an ASMR background to do my work and your videos fill that spot cleverly. Of course I do watch them too. Thank you so much for the glimpse of showing your private life. I love your home. So rustic and cozy.
Really nice to see what a traditional house looks like compared to brand new Tokyo apartments that I have seen videos of. And don't be bothered about showing drying laundry... this is a home, not a museum. Enjoy it! Greetings from Budapest, Hungary.
Thank you for your comment! I'm very happy to receive a comment from Budapest! Yes, this is a home, and the real life of some Japanese living in an old traditional Japanese house😆.
Oh, this house is so lovely! Thank you for the tour. ❤ Also, if you buy a tall table for the microwave and rice cooker, you could put the trash bin underneath. 😁
I very much enjoyed your tour, thank you so much! I live in a 130 year old house. It is nice to feel the lives of the people who lived in the house before us. I am looking forward to more videos!
Thank you very much for your comment! Wow, it's great that you're living in such an old house. Yes, I also think it's nice to feel the remnants of the life of the person who lived in the house previously☺️.
I live in a studio apartment in a house that's also 130 years old. It's on the second floor and my entire floor is slanted! I have to prop all my furniture up on one side! 😂
Love your house ❤Also we still have our home phone. One time there was a major power outage, and everyone’s cell phones didn’t work; and my dad had a work call. The only thing that worked was our home phone
I absolutly LOVE your house ! I love the respectfull knock ❤- your atmosphere is beautiful and peacefull - It was always my dream to buy an Akiya - but sadly I cant - Thanks a million for the magic house tour -🎉❤
Thank you for the comments! We both have transparent and non-transparent glass. The choice of glass depends on the location within the room. Usually, for the living room, we use transparent ones. I'm not sure of the reason, but perhaps in Nagasaki's hilly terrain, where houses are densely packed and the outside of houses often faces directly onto the street, non-transparent glass is commonly used, maybe?
@@life_in_nagasaki Thanks for the answer! From the room tour, it was not clear what was behind the windows. 😅 Indeed, if the building is very dense, it probably won't work otherwise...
Hi! Thank you for watching! The reason I moved to Nagasaki City is because I was fascinated by Nagasaki's history and culture, particularly its history of international exchange and the context of multicultural coexistence. When I was a university student, I visited Nagasaki as part of a club activity. During that visit, I studied Nagasaki's history and culture, and since then, I have become a huge fan of Nagasaki. I have always wanted to live in Nagasaki someday and deeply learn about the history and cultural context of this place. When I reached my late twenties and started to feel exhausted from my life in Tokyo, I decided to move to Nagasaki. After moving to Nagasaki, I do feel the charm of its history and culture, but even more than that, I find everyday life very interesting, especially since I live in the sloping areas of Nagasaki. The daily life in these sloping areas is incredibly fascinating, and now I am enjoying my life here☺️
Yes, you've made a good observation 👀. It does get very cold in traditional Japanese houses. I have an air conditioner, but it's now broken, so I need to think about how to address that...⛄️ Greetings from Nagasaki, Japan! Nice to meet you!
I would love to retire there but unfortunately if i stayed there i lose my British Columbia medical plan .. to keep it i would have to live 6 month intervals...but then again our medical plan isn't what it used to be....we are lacking Doctors here..... I like your rent cost...here I'm paying $2600.00 for two bedrooms..rent is becoming too high for most people..... Shosan, you have a nice home....
what happen to the previoys resident? just curious 😅 btw, nice house. so warm, lovely and calm at the same time. but i also curious when winter has come, must be cold right?
What a beautiful old home with character you were lucky to find that! so neat and clean can you give us a tour of the countryside? Hello and well wishes from New York
Thank you for your comment from New York! I'm planning to create a video or do a live stream of walking around Nagasaki, which I hope viewers will enjoy :)
Love home tours, really nice place. I hope you have good relations with your landlord, would hate to put all that money, time and effort into renovating the property only for the landlord to take it all away from you.

Your house really reminds me of the Fruits Basket anime house where Tohru lived, even the garden! So cute 🥰
Thank you for the comment☺️ Wow, I only know the name of that anime. I should watch it!

Che bella questa casa. È molto fredda in inverno?
Dovrò arrangiarmi in qualche modo...

Your home is very tidy. But I think it must be very cold in the winter. Is there any heating in the rooms? Hajimemashite from London, England.
