That info about the yellow is pretty interesting, I'd never heard that before. I'm sure the changes in color and detail to match the production model were a mandate by Chevy to promote the actual model rather than an "inaccurate" concept. As for the license plate, it's kinda inaccurate kinda accurate. In TF2007 and ROTF he does have the 4NZZ454 in robot mode and 900 STRA in vehicle mode, so maybe they went with the former in both modes to differentiate it from DOTM where he has that plate in both modes.
The only thing I can say about this figure is WOW. They have taken some ideas from the Battle Blade Bumblebee, the Leader Class DOTM Bumblebee, amd the Human Alliance Bumblebee and improved every single aspect of them. This is the level of detail that you would expect from a really good figure. Hasbro should make more of these Movie Masterpiece figures. Great review Optibotimus, keep the good work!
Kinda does need a minor retool for a Revenge of the Fallen version (that was the Camaro ZL1, with different fog lights from the one in the 2007 movie. Plus they should add his axe, since he had it in RotF, and it'd be a great callback to the HftD Battle Blade Bumblebee figure.
As you said this is the best bumble bee figure ever, I mean I just love everything about it especially that he doesn't have that big giant backpack on his back, I love how it was designed to become part of his torso, and I also the battle mask and the arm cannon, I mean everything about this figure is just amazing and I really hope that they would be able to do something similar to an Age of Extinction bumble bee figure because I kind love the way he looks the fact that he does not have the doors "wings" on his back so I wish that they could redesign that figure the way they did with this one especially with the backpack, but speaking of the doors "wings" on this figure and the two new smaller wings that just attach to them I did see that before on the new "The Last Knight" bumble bee figure, and I do hope that you make a video of that figure soon and thank you

The MPM-03 and TheLastKnight Wave 3 Bumblebee are the best Bumblebees so far Edit: to anyone who wants to preach that the 3A Bumblebee is better, I'm talking about the transformable ones. Obviously 3A blows even the mpm bumblebee out of the water. So read the whole comment before you add anything.
snokoan2 here's a few reasons he could be the best: he has the upper and lower wings, he was a swappable arm cannon, the kibble on his legs folds in, getting rid of the gaps that almost every other Bee has, the backpack folds in like MPM-03 does, etc
I am looking at my shelf at Human Alliance Bumblebee, a figure you say you now dont own, this figure seems to me to be an edited and improved version of that design and mechanics. A truly, as you say, familiar transformation. With that said, this may be the best Bee I have seen. Masterpiece indeed. The chrome in comparison to my current favourite (the aforementioned Human Alliance) is so striking, all the paint is. Oh and they solved the hollow torso issue by folding the roof into it rather than having it as a 'back' panel and a 'stomach' panel. This figure has a much more natural curved body that seems more whole and humanoid and I love it. And thank you for providing the -as ever, high quality review, Paul.

Good news for you! I don't know about a Rachet or Old Camaro Bumbldbee Masterpieces , though I think we really need them. But... the Movie Masterpiece Megatron MPM - 09 will be released later this year! And it has all the features of the 2007 movie: hand whip, fusion cannon, even a small replica of the AllSpark Cube that can be put inside his removable chest. Along with this masterpiece we'll also get a Masterpiece Jazz (it'll have his magnetic cannon, a rectractable visor and even a detachable feature complete with a removable spinal cord, so you can recreate his death scene at the hands of Megatron) and, I think, a Masterpiece Starscream.
i think this figure would look delicious next to human alliance barricade and jazz. the more i watch your vids the more of these i wanna buy! keep up the great work :)

Really impressive how they managed to put the entire car back into his torso! The TLK toy line was utter crap but these new movie MP are awesome in appearance and engineering.

I am a transformers enthusiast of the movie franchise I am a collector of the movie figures from parts 2 & 4 including beast hunters but haven't got the studio series & the last knight figures yet .
After seeing this, I looked at dotm bumblebee, it seems the newest TLK bumblebee is retool of dotm, but idk, I don't own either figure, optibotimus will be able to confirm that when wave 3 is out, but I really can't wait to get this figure

So the looseness in the ankles are universal then. I got my MPM3 about a week ago and I had that problem too, it's kinda frustrating since I can't make him stand without making his legs look like chicken legs. Wished the ankle pivots were more tight.
The yellow color is good they have to do that to get the license of the cheverlot because if you are making a masterpiece toy specially a car you should have a license to whatever car company

I love how the door wings connect more to the middle shoulder area but I feel the Studio Series looks more screen accurate in the chest area.
I hope sooner or later they do a variant of this mold for ROTF and then DOTM. The one I'd be looking forward to personally would be ROTF
