How do you like the 4K 60fps in it? If I buy, trying to figure out if I would shoot weddings in 6K 48fps or 4K 60fps. I'm not bothered by the crop on the sensor unless it feels like a major jump.
It's because I was shooting this on the Canon C70 and didn't realize at the time that the C70 (unlike all other cameras I've worked with), wants you to turn DOWN the input mic volume and turn UP the volume on the camera itself. If you do the opposite you'll get weird distorted audio

Yep I keep my shutter angle at 180! I primarily use Davinci resolve for editing, and their stabilizer works VERY well with Komodo footage, haven't had any issues with artifacting!

I've seen some people say it's hit or miss what shots can be stabilized or not, but I guess that really just comes down handheld technique. I do love the idea of just picking it up and shooting, which is what RED markets it as with post stabilization being a prominent selling point on their website
@@JustinRomeyn do you rely on the autofocus for moving subjects or do you rack focus manually? I have a Komodo and have had it for a few months but I’ve only used it for stationary projects. The focus is a bit intimidating coming from an R5. Thanks for this video btw!
Was it hard to get a Komodo Stormtrooper Edition or any Komodo at all? Because I think here in Germany it's not that hard to get one. I only heard that it will take some time to get yours but because of the pandemic shit going on, etc.
I've heard of it being hard for most people in the USA and different parts of the world right now. Was a bit hard for me at first, but luckily found someone that had an extra unopened one so it all worked out!

The 6K 48 has a nice dreamy feel! I do have the RF to EF 0.71x adapter now which makes the 4K 60 MUCH more usable on a reg basis

Hey! Saw you use the Komodo on RS2 with a smartphone. Mine is crazy laggy, what setup do you use ? 5ghz or 2.5 ? low/mid/high quality stream?

It’s been great on my lenses! Sadly no tracking but works great on subjects within the box
