That's what I tell my son about job interviews. You are there to help them. They need to fill the position.
I get that but they also want to see how well can you do under an intense or a pressured situation. It really did happen to me multiple times so I think it's sort of important to the casting director and the director himself to test us and our abilities. On the plus side, it's easy once you get the hang of it! :)

#7 was also a really good one! Here is my motto for auditions and I use this all the time. I don't remember who told this to me or where I found it but it is not original. Here it is: Think of an audition as a job. Go in there, and read the script as if you are already in the movie. Don't think of it as a try out or trying to get a job. Pretend you are filming the movie right then and there. That is truly the only way your best will come out. -- Number 7 was very, very similar to that.

Bill Halbert saaaaame. I went In to an audition the other day like “I want this role I love this role, this is the role I want, I need it!” And I ended up not getting the role. But I did think I heard the director say I was pretty good so Kevin helped me now change my outlook on auditions

I resonate so much with what Will Smith said. I've always felt that there's this wall inside of me that prevents me from fully expressing certain emotions my own way. Whenever I dance, or act, I'd feel the resistance to let go but I've been trying to break it down. I know that once the barrier has been broken through, I'll experience growth rapidly as an artist. Not because of some magic that instantly makes me a skillful performer but because of the newfound willingness to make a fool out of myself in every way possible. Once you lift that mental barrier, you open yourself up to alot of opportunities.

Haven't even watched all of it, and NUMBER 1 already hit me. I've never thought of it like that. I've been told the same thing and currently it's just me, myself, and I, so I personally know that before making it as an actual actor, I have to believe in myself because that is what comes first in this industry before anything else: YOU and YOUR BELIEFS. Great tips! You should definitely continue the series! :) Denzel Washington's advice to stay true to you is probably the most important piece of advice given on a personal value level. Whether a person discounts their needs, wants, and values, or refuses to... that behavior is an unspoken lesson to other people on how to treat that person. Staying true to you is your unspoken way of expressing that you don't compromise your integrity. Love it!

the boundaries thing... spot on... letting go and just going for it without pressure of where your bar is. Also what Will Smith said about be entirely comfortable with being embarrassing and ridiculous... vulnerability. Being able to make yourself at home in those hard places. I find as a musician that has helped me a lot. I'm glad i'm finally getting to that level.

Thank you so much Evan. Literally every teacher last year pressured me into doing drama. They said it’s cus of my personality and they just see me as being an actress. My aunt told my parents to put me on Disney at the age of ten. I’m studying acting cus I really wanna do it. Some people doubted me but that doesn’t matter. I’ve been through so much stuff and wanna share my story and inspire others. I need to stay focus cus that’s my problem, I literally just sit in bed and think and dream about it but don’t put in any action’s. That’s gonna have to change. Thank you 🙏🏽

I had a audition for a Nike commercial earlier today, and the thing that helped me nail it was someone told me “maybe acting for this role isn’t for you.” That sparked a fire in me and I nailed it.
