I have dry skin but somehow a lot of her recommendations work great for me! I just always use a hydrating primer with all matte foundations and it works out nicely

Hey girly, I'm an Esthetician and studied under Dermalogica and currently have an acct with them. You would LOVE Calm Water Gel!! Its a gel consistency as opposed to a cream, oil-free, water based and super light and hydrates with hyaluronic acid. The oil-free matte SPF 30 is great as a daytime moisturizer alone or mixed with the calm water gel. Ulta and Sephora (now or coming soon I believe...) carry Dermalogica. Give it a try! I think you'll be very pleased xo.

@@kristenmoriarty It wouldn't hurt, but there are better options for dry skin! If you're severely dry, I'd recommend trying Skin Smoothing Cream by Dermalogica. If you're dry but acneic (breakout easily) I'd try Active Moist! A hyaluronic acid serum underneath would be amazing for you as well!! Skin Hydrating Booster is my jam! Hope this helps xx
please try the peterthomasroth water drench cloud moisturizer, you'll love it, it is so lightweight but super hydrating without getting oily, one of the best moisturizer for oily to combo skin types. it absorbs into skin nicely and makes foundations get blended easier :)

I just bought this foundation in 29N Light-Medium. So far I really like it too. It doesn’t transfer or slide off my face. I like how full coverage it is.
I’m a Tarte girl but I wasn’t ever a fan of the original shape tape foundation because it was so matte and made my skin feel so dry which NEVER happens because I am so oily but so I am def trying this now because it is Casey approved!!!

I love the real reviews on this product. I bought this the day it was available in Ulta and I’m happy to see a non biased review that was just hateful because of the past. I have sensitive skin and tarte has the best formulas for my skin and that’s why I use them and usually rely on review. I’ve only seen reviews dogging on it/ reviews from youtubers I don’t trust! Yes I agree I think you need to find the best combo for this particular foundation. For me, I couldn’t use the tatcha silk canvas because it just slid off my t-zone with it. But when I just used the smashbox primer water it was fine. I’m going to give it one more try to decide for sure if I want to keep it. Looks great on you!

I’ve been wearing this foundation for the past few days and I really like it! It’s definitely not super long wear, I put it on at 7am and it starts to look kinda iffy by the end of my work day at 4:30, but once I touch up it’s great! Amazing coverage too

Megan Burgess I take a big fluffy powder brush and reapply some of my setting powder and then use more setting spray after, if for some reason I’m extra oily that day I’ll use some blotting paper before the setting powder.
I tried this the other day and LOVED it but I was sad to wake up the next day with little pimples on my forehead and that was the only thing I changed. I'll try it again but I loved the coverage and finish!

Ulta also has this now, saw it there couple days, didn’t get a chance to check it out though, this looks very pretty on your skin. Don’t forget when your pregnant things with your face and skin can change on a dime, hormonal craziness. My facial features got very masculine looking during one of my pregnancy, he was a boy. Where suppose to be glowing during our pregnancies but not always the case, our bodies are not our own during those nine months.
Shoot... I have been to ulta a ton in the past couple of weeks and I keep seeing this foundation. I will have to try it now!

I just got this foundation today☺ i really need something that will last all day while im at cosmetology. The lady at ulta said it would work great for me. I was using only tarte shape tape where im red but ive been wanting to try foundation. I hope it works out well like it did for you!

I love how you’re not afraid to use an eyeshadow as a cheek bone highlight. I use one from the bare minerals bare essentials palate and i LOVE it on the skin. So I’m glad you don’t also find that a no-no 😂

I really like how you do your makeup. Even though it’s somewhat a lot of makeup, you find a way to make it look natural. More girls should go for this look....

Ooh you have to try the estee lauder cleansing balm if you haven't! The clinique one is awesome but the estee lauder... ah, magic! And love this foundation on you, now I so want to try it out

I have this foundation. I have the shade light medium neutral. I honestly like it. I did make the mistake the first cpl times and applied too much and it got cakey but I realized that an lil goes a long way. Now that I don't use that much, it's actually really nice. 💜💜 BTW, obsessed with the new E.l.f concealer. I say it everyday but I mix it with the Milani one and it's the best combo! ! The pretty vulgar powder is Bomb! 😘😘

I’ve heard the less you use of the Hourglass foundation the better it looks, because the suggested amount is .5 pump. Will you please try it again using less product? I have it and when I use very little it looks so flawless. It may not work even with less, but, it’s worth a shot :) 💙 love you girl

You have me sold on that lip color. It's so pretty! I hated both of the original shape tape foundations. The hydrating one broke up around my nose and the matte one made me so oily and cakey. I'm hoping this time around it's better!
Was skeptical to try because i don’t love the hydrating shape tape foundation but if you like it I may have to try it!

Ulta definitely has dermalogica! That's where I first discovered her 💛 my skin has always been oily, but this winter has done some things to my skin I swear. I don't feel like I would consider it oily at all anymore. It's weird. And skincare is expensive. So there's that.
