My Spyderco obsession started with a Delica about 18 months ago. About 12 knives later I am a fan. Their stuff is unique and they try different materials. I do love their company. My opinion only. Thanks for the review.👍
Great review, JB! I remember how it felt the first time I held a PM2. It feels special. The jimping grips your fingers without hurting, and the handle becomes one with your hand. Super slicey and one of the best edc knives on the marked. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesen't come with a deep carry clip. Thank you for sharing your take on it. Take care! Cheers BH
I just bought the exact same knife today. I had the Manix 2 LW also. There was something about it that I didn’t like either. I gave it to my son about a month ago. I really do love the Paramilitary 2 though.
I just ordered an endura 4 today. It's my first Spyderco. I really want a paramilitary 2 but the one I want is out of my budget right now. I've heard so much good stuff about Spyderco I had to get one!
Glad you seen the light. I just came off a Spyderco ban because of some issues I had with one of my knives bit they made it right and I couldn’t have been more happy to lift the ban. The PM2 is such an iconic edc option. The Para 3 is also another great knife. My favorite though the Shaman. Thanks for sharing!
I used to be lukewarm on Spyderco knives, that was until I bought my first one, a basic Para 3. I bought a Military in S110V the very next day. The very next weekend I ordered A Paramilitary 2 just like the one you have. I was sold. It's been my favorite folding knife ever since. One wasn't enough so I purchased an S30V with DLC coating with the digi camo scales. Love the PM 2.
I'm really trying to expand my sights on knives. I got stuck on one brand and think Ive missed allot. And Spyderco I've only owned one for a few days. Soon I'm going to explore more. Thanks Big Red
Welcome to the club, the compression lock and the axis lock are by far the most fun to use out of any knife lock. I'm more of a Para 3 guy due to where I live, but still love my PM2. Try using the index finger for the flick instead of the middle, it works a lot better for me.
Just picked up a red aluminum PM2 and aside from some roughness with the clip its a dreamy knife. Perfect with a good lanyard. I owned a solid Tenacious for a year before getting this one and it is quite an upgrade to say the least. Got my eye on many other Spydercos including the Chicago, a Para 3 LW, and a Native 5
I'm like you JB, was never interested in spyderco whatsoever, until I got offered a pink one with'damage' to the scales, at a very low price. That knife is now purple with an acid etched blade and it's my pride and joy 👍 great review brother 🤘😁🤘
I was waiting for this to happen lol! I knew once you got a PM2 in hand you'd love it! I was a big time Spyderco hater and then I got J.R.'s Manix 2 in hand and I started to come around. But when I handled the PM2 for the first time all bets we're off!! Great review, brother!!
Spyderco redeemed itself with you as nice info and review...I don't own a Spyderco as for some reason not into em but I hear nothing but great things about em.....Good stuff....
I just got my pm2 in maxamet a couple days ago and it is my first spyderco. At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it but it gradually became obvious that it was an awesome design executed perfectly. I worry about the blade tip though, it’s thin enough to preform surgery with but not hard use ideal

Can't beat the Paramilitary 2. I have video proof of just how tough that bugger is. It won't let you down when the going gets tough. Mine saved my arse when I dislocated my knee and had to baton it through a branch to make a crutch. Zero damage to the blade, lock, handle, or pivot. The PM2 will be my favorite EDC till the day I die
I recently compared my budget Spyderco Persistence to my friends Para 3, and the dimensions were, actullaly rather similar. The Persistance has probably been all but forgotten by now but, to me, it's one of Spyderco budget knives.
It looks like they are sold out most places. But if you can find one, there is a pink PM2. Easy to do a Rit Dye job on the scales. Lots of how to videos showing the process. I got one for my mother from White Mountain Knives using Slicey Dicey's discount code (SDWMK)for under $100.
Hey Jody I have a few Spyderco knives and really like them all,my workhorse is theTenacious with a full serrated blade and my going out in style is my Firefly

That is a nice knife and it shows that you like it lol but it’s too rich for my blood ... but even my budget spyderco are proven to be very comfortable and very performance oriented knives ! Great review bud! As always
I got a brand new para 2 and totally upset with it. I even sent it back to Golden to have it checked out and the manufacturer stated nothing is wrong with. Issue on mine is that the flick to open or closing it using the compressor doesn’t work as effectively. After watching your video you further confirmed it. BigRedEDC so I loosened one of the screws it slightly loosened up, but not the way y’all have been showing it off. My concern is keeping the screw lose, it might just fall of at some stage.
