I’ve had my Rebel 500 SE w/ ABS since Memorial Day weekend. The gearing is def more of a cbr 500 as you mentioned to do the engine set up. Def enough low end torque that is perfect for city riding. I haven’t taken mine on the highway as I just had the first service done at 600 miles. I think you make valid points about it being a cruiser with the heart of a naked bike. This bike is super nimble and super fun. I have zero complaints about mine… we’ll just the seat haha cheers
Congrats on getting your new rebel, that’s awesome!! Great points for sure, I totally agree. The 500 feels like the perfect balance between a cruiser and a naked bike. Tons of fun for sure. And honestly, I feel like it does a good job on the highway as well. Of course there could be more power, but I’ve never had any issues getting around traffic on the highway. Ride safe!
I am a new follower and love your video's. I noticed your cluster is tilted to the left a bit and instantly realized it was dropped on that side. Looked back and saw the drop video. You may not realize it but your bars are turned slightly to the keft when your going straight. The drop caused this. You can look over your bars and see the two handle bar risers the two 14mm nuts under them that connect to the front forks triple tree will help adjust this. You can probably see the bars arent the same over the two big nuts on top of the front fork tubes to see what im saying. Good luck juat a heads up. It happens to many bikes. Easy fix you can look up on here. Will help you align your arms to the road therefore make your ride safer and more comfortable. Best regards.
Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it! The truth is, I’ve been down this road a few times unfortunately… I tried realigning the bars and they seemed to be good, and then I took the bike in to a shop and I must of not tightened the bolts enough because when I got the bike back, they were out of alignment again. I need to figure all that out, hopefully soon. I appreciate it though! There is also another reason why the cluster might be tilted a little bit, but I’ll save that for an upcoming video!
Looks like a Cruiser. But the engine and low end gearing is CBR 500 ish. Low end gearing i would challenge anyone to beat. Impreza had no chance, lol. Since i do a lot of city driving, it's torque has gotten me out of a lot of bad situations.
Yeah, I totally agree. I like the amount of lower end torque that the 500 has. It’s smooth enough for less experience riders, but it still has enough to get out of bad situations.

@@evergreenmoto You're very welcome. I love the bike and your channel! Happy riding!
The naked cosplaying as a cruiser. Still torn between this and the CB500f.
Fair enough! I feel like it comes down to riding position and rider comfort between those two. Let me know what you end up going with!
Where is that road?
Western Washington near Bonney Lake. Kind of out there, but a lot of fun country roads in the area!
Oh you beat me buddy! I got 0-60 in 12 seconds, but i weigh 280 and saddle bags, lol.
Ha, there you go. Yeah, I’m sure the saddlebags add the extra drag 😂

I believe the Rebel 500 is more of a Naked bike disguised as a Cruiser.
Yep! That’s what one of the other people commenting said. I think it’s totally accurate. And it’s a win win because the Rebel 500 looks awesome!
