Item banks are zone locked, sub flair will not be reclaimable in this patch as per CIG Dev statement yesterday, and if you buy a larger ship than your hanger fits you will not get a larger personal hanger you will need to use the regular terminals to call it up they will look at how to deal with this in the future this was mentioned on the hanger/cargo episode a while back.
Pinning your comment so others can find it. And that makes more sense with the item banks that they'd be tied to the persistent hangar and habs. So more universal bag of holding inventory, I'm guessing
Im pleased the item banks will be zonal still, we need those money sinks at least for a while. Maybe hangar rentals might be another one on the horizon as I’m sure it’s going to be useful having multiple in different locations. Plus if you upgrade your ship size it fixes that.
Love your videos Dawnstealer. Until today I was convinced the Ironclad Assault's roof would *not* open, but your point about the control room and it being kinda pointless for a closed roof has me thinking you're right. Keep up the great content!
Just to my brain, it would be like the M2 or A2 only having the working elevator and the main cargo doors not opening. Again, this early in development, pretty sure they'd change it up if not, unless they had a REAL good reason not to. Hopefully we'll know some time this week
The question about if you will get a bigger hangar when you buy a larger ship was answered by a dev- initial implementation you will NOT a larger hangar because at that time they had not figured out how they would get your smaller decorated hangar to transfer up. I think the edge case now would be what happens if you have a super decked out medium hangar and go to large? My easy, non developer answer is it should just put all the items in local storage, OR when you want to upside the hangar or buy a bigger ship you get a warning to pack all your items in the freight elevator to put in local storage prior to ship purchase
@DawnstealerGaming ah I missed the distinction. Still a lot of people will probably get mad when they can't chill in their personal hangar with a nice new (bigger) ship
@@schlagzahne6741 exactly. And that might change. “Alpha,” etc etc - if they get a lot of pushback and it’s not something they see as critical (aka DoaS), they’ll probably tweak it
I would think it would have to for the same reason it has a control room. What would be the point of the control room if it wasn't to control the tractor beams? That said, wouldn't be the first time they've made a weird design choice.
@@DawnstealerGaming I think that the control room on the assault is just there because A) it would take more work to remove it, and B) they still need a place for the extra remote turrets to be operated from. I hope you're right though. I have both and think it would be way easier to load busted up tanks in through the roof with a tractor beam (on the Assault or from another ship) than trying to tow it through the front ramp, then to the back of the "garage."
this was the first time i grabbed all the new items. i believe its a mistake to not own a NURSA at least till it becomes rentable and buyable in game then i was begging for the ranger until the new pulse was epic small!!! i want the smallest ship in game!!!! i have lots of love for my raven but the firebird was a must try so i upgraded my token LTI. but then the drake ships series got a heavy armored ship? a ship that looks like it almost fits a cutlass in its cargo bay???? wow i can make this a mini carrier. i own the liberator for the more serious ship relocating but i bet the iron clad assault will get a lot of use!!!
Yeah, I grabbed all three, too. Thankfully melted enough that the total bill was $0, though, and yeah - I see both the Lib and Fatterpillar having a pretty strong niche

@@kal-nor multiple persistent habs everywhere is kind of the dream

I always thought the roof would open because it would be more work to make two different roofs .

Yeah, I think I included that in the vid, but yes - you get a larger hangar but it’s not the persistent one: it’s just a hangar like we have now

Fair winds and following seas! Catch you when you get back.
Thank you!
With the question about buying a larger ship ingame , they said that you’ll get a normal hanger, but it’s not your hanger until the next patch
😅
I see a new ship module on the horizon. The Galaxy Giggity-Goo. A tanker that refills the goo tank.
Hmmm…Ironclad Girthy Giggity Goo?
I know my first impulse was not to buy the Ironclad but my two brothers bought two Assault and a stock Ironclad .Yea it's growing on me .
I just like the way you included "pulse" in your comment. I see it being pretty useful as a pop-up base, definitely
Looks like the Ironclad Assault doesn't have any tractor beams?
