(4 years late reply but still worth adding to the trivia) There's also a 2nd floor that was unused in the undercity, which you can get to with some clever tricks or flying. This was because originally cities were to have 2 floors for vendors; but they reduced it to 1, same thing happened to Ironforge. Also back in the day, the undercity was not only the hardest city for alliance to get into being underground, but also the cause of many deaths by the elevator because people used to get stuck on the decoration on the sides as it goes up and down; dying from fall damage. There is also a secret entrance to the undercity to bypass the heavily secure elevator which is to the west of brill and the nearby scarlet tower known as the sewers. It's still guarded but not as heavily; it's mainly used to get in and out by the flight path and in lore, to expel the slime inside the city; nobody knows what the slime is but considering it's source, it's likely an experiment of the apothecary department; which might explain the weird demonic beasts and giant bats around Tirisfal Glades, who wander just outside the sewers. ^^

I did it a different way. Well, I didn't actually go all the way in because I don't want to risk a ban but I could have. If you fly over to the flight path entrance (the hill next to a ruined tower on the right of Lordaeron) you'll see that it's blocked by a boulder. Simply fly a little bit away from it (I went right) and that boulder will disappear, showing the open entrance. The boulder will reappear when you get close but if you're quick enough, you can fly into the entrance before it does. Congrats, you're now in Undercity. This was where I turned back. I didn't continue down the tunnel and enter the city proper but I'm pretty sure you can. I just entered the tunnel and immediately left.
There is an npc infront of the gates that can reverse it to the old one. It's just a lore chapter that happens and you can choose as if it never had happened... Same goes with the dark portal in the blasted lands and silithus zone. Player's choice.

Its been like 10 months since undercity was nuked. How has the blight not drifted off yet? There are lots of thing like this though like the orcs outside of thrallmar in outlands who since the release of BC have stood there fighting those legion rock guys
Yes but the idea is that when you play that content, your essentially going back in time and re-living that expansion as if it was live, so when you level up in northrend you wont have people aware that the lich king is dead and has been for 10 years, the npcs are experiencing the expansion lore, and so are you.

I have found out that u can speak with Zidormi near Undercity and she will take u back in time before Undercity was destroyed. The problem is now as of year 2020, is that all guards are level 60 in there, and if u r trying to do it like my self on a character that is level 50, u will be easily spotted and easily killed. Not to mention that u need to sneak around in order to kill a target. What i am thinking is that if u go back in time , is that all mobs including guards should be level 50s and not 60s which is the case. I feel like we are betrayed. Now i need to level up an alt in order to get to 60 and complete the quest, so freaking frustrating.
Blizzard have nothing better to do with their lives other than spoil fun so now if you do this, your ghost will be teleported to a freakin graveyard in Westfall, at least as Alliance.

Tried a trial account today on official. And wow official is just garbage now. Just go to a private server of wotlk and play that. As shadowlands is just a mess up of a game in every way possible.
