We're going Behind the Brew on our Irish Blonde Ale beer recipe kit. While not an “official” beer style according to the BJCP or Brewer’s Association, you will find some commercial examples of the beer in Ireland and the US. Our version is close to the hearts and brew kettle of many homebrewers year-round, and especially around St. Patrick’s Day. You can think of Northern Brewer’s Irish Blond Ale as a stout without the roasted malts or an over-hopped, straw-gold cousin to the Irish Red Ale. The ingredients produce a beer with fruity, herbal hop notes over delicious malt flavors of buttered toast and warm cereal. #homebrew #homebrewing #irishbeer
