Do you have a plan for surviving an active shooter event? If so, tell us about it in the comments.

That statement about rifle versus pistol training time…after 3-4 trips to the range, my wife was a better shot than I am with our Beretta 92. After maybe 5 minutes of training, she shot our new Ruger PC extremely accurately at 15 yards. She shot Dad’s 22 years ago down at the farm but picked up shooting very quickly. If we have a home invasion, I’ll be loading mags for her. Just saying. My 64 year old wife has it going on.

lol this is so cool! It really is crazy. In survival situations a group of people will all be doing the exact same things yet only certain ones survive. It’s like some of us have this thing and others don’t. So wild 😮 best of luck to you both ❤

Some of us have health problems that are genetic like myself and my son. I have CardioMyopathy and he is in a power wheelchair with Muscular Dystrophy... Running and in his case rolling away from danger is rather limited so I keep my head on a swivel and where legal my CCW and I train and practice to know my limitations and capabilities becasue to be a protector and his protector matters.

Disability makes being armed at all times even that much more important.

Carrying should not require licensing, like Wild West there was a level of sense, everyone armed and you do wrong expect to be stopped even if that means quickly dead. Less likely to think selfish and stupid.

Yay guys there are some of us who are disabled and can't run, and work out to do what you are talking about, but try to stay mentally able to react

Unfortunately you’d be the ones that died. Same with the SHTF situation.. the elderly and the disabled would be the first to die. Sad but true 😢

Age-d lady here! Just getting my mind wrapped around how to respond or help nearby potential victims who will notnknow anything except fear
I recommend a vid on overcoming the initial body response of fear-trauma-flight-fight-shield etc. Having our minds stay sharp is so important. And when fine motor skills are not working, etc.
Maybe links to online first aid material.
    Thanks so very much ❤🙏🤗

Here’s what I know! After what happened in Israel 🇮🇱! I’m not sure this won’t happen here in the United States 🇺🇸! Especially because all the people who have gotten into the country through the Mexican/Texas border! I’m involved with firearms because I’m a little nervous for the safety of me and my family! I not going to be caught by surprise!! God bless America 🇺🇸 and the 2nd amendment! I was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania 68 years ago! I’m a native born American! I’m now seeing all kinds of people from different countries in south Philadelphia! I’m certain they have come from the Mexican border! What I’m apprehensive about is if you are not a Muslim you are considered as an infidel ! And it’s enough for radical Muslims to kill us! You tell me what I’m supposed to think about this whole situation!!!

It’s crazy! I live in a town with 87% white population yet every paper I get home from my son’s school has more spainish then English on the paper. If their 6 year old kids can learn English why can’t they? Immigrants should feel insults they are being called stupid. One dad was at the front office and could not even say his daughter’s birthday 😢 how is this safe for them? This is hurting the people the left thinks they are helping

Good Stuff! I'm 85 and I've been into survival since my 20s. I'm in the mountains and hike with my dogs 3-4 days a week. With something on my belt for comfort. I keep learning new things all the time. When I read about Wild Bill Hickock I began never sitting with my back to the door.

28:53 As to general fitness and the ability to run/sprint a certain distance to get off the X, I remember a video where Jason ran back and forth through a small obstacle course in his regular clothes in order to simulate such a scenario. People should know how it feels to be physically active in the clothes they wear everyday because that's what they'll be wearing should it ever happen.

    • @reflexhandgun
      @reflexhandgun 11 місяців тому +2

Good point. This also will lead people to consider what they wear, like wearing good shoes instead of flip flops in case you need to run.

Great information, I have never owned a gun, nor training, besides the word of God. The name of Jesus has authority, Awareness of the power over any weapon, I witnessed a few times gang members freeze, even as they had weapons. As a single parent of 4 ,living in a war zone , protecting my children was priority. There is weapons unseen, that overpowering, Self defense now day's is vital 🙏 praying everyday, carring a weapon, is a responsibility, and can cost one's freedom.

A lot of these incidents also happen in areas where there has recently been a 'drill'... specifically a mass/active shooter drill. These drills are usually filmed as far as I have heard. A bit strange, don't you think?

On July 26, 1764, four Delaware (Lenape) Native Americans entered a settlers' log schoolhouse in the Province of Pennsylvania in what is now Franklin County, near the present-day city of Greencastle. Inside were the schoolmaster, Enoch Brown, and a number of young students. Brown pleaded with the warriors to spare the children; nonetheless he was shot, beaten with a club and scalped.[4] The warriors then clubbed and scalped the children. Brown and ten children were killed.[3][4] One scalped child, Archie McCullough, survived his wounds.[4] [3]

Good information. At one point, you made a comment that- paraphrasing- decide if it’s gunshots or car backfiring and when was the last time you heard a car backfire. I live in the NYC metro area and now it’s a trend that there are modified mufflers that are intentionally made to sound as rapid fire guns as the car decelerates. First time I heard it I was startled.

Absolutely NOT. Do not follow this person's advice. Different rounds will behave differently and will cause very inconsitent aiming. Also, you NEVER want to be shooting FMJ in public and have a bullet sail through the bad guy and hitting one of the good guys.
