This is the best temple one could ever see in India. I happened to travel to trichy from Mumbai for work and traveled all the way to thanjavur to see it as I had one day free. Trust me the architecture is out of the world. Never come across such a magnificent temple like this. Thanks to Cholas, pandians and pallava kings for building such a gem of iconic architecture. Equally deserving are the people of Tamil Nadu who have preserved and maintained this temple till date.
We are so proud of our ancestors
Wow it has suffered 1000years and 6 earthquakes great!
It survived 6 earthquakes !!
It mesmerizes people from every aspect. This is should be the number 1 wonder in the world. Magnificent structure; truly inimitable impeccable and incredible marvel in the world. @@bruhmeme1 why no
@@reignsthechad imo there are many good structures in the world
@@bruhmeme1 lmao.....is pisa tower considered as world wonder..... Which is leaning day by day
And Tanjore temple has so many architectural works and paintings which is still colourful is there.... And the temple is 1012 years old
And the top stone of the temple is 80tons which is 80,000 kg
Howtf our ancestors lifted 80,000kg to the top of the temple???
And this temple has no shadow.....
And it was fully made of stones which they got that stone by drilling the mountains and also the place where the temple located has no mountains and they got those stones away form more than 600kms
This temple survived 6 Earthquakes
But still not even moved 0°
Now tell me!!!!!
Why didn't it take its place among the wonders of the world? If the choices were
made in the right sense Hindustan's marvelous historic creations would have occupied almost all the top positions among the wonders of the world ! If the aliens from other worlds were asked to choose from their point of view no doubt they would pick the top 5 from Hindustan. So rich is our ancestors' marvelous creations in their designs, accuracy, imaginativeness and technical precision and above all ingenuity.

Now this knowledge is only in the genes of Indians. Not anywhere else. External invasion and exploitation completely destroyed the architecture knowledge of ancient Indians.

The truth is revealed by the telling of the means of construction; the puzzle method. The pieces of the puzzle were all products of molds. All details were sculpted in clay and then cast in man-made stone concrete which was then assembled in a methodical process.
The top "stone" is not a stone but an engineered multi-block construction covered with stone stucco in order to support the delusion that it is was once one solid object. The more awesome the story that can be told...the more respect and devotion it receives, including pilgrimages to visit it and pay homage....which includes contributions of course. It's an amazing ancient wonder and tribute to the genius of ancient architects, not ancient masons.
I’m from Thanjavur
U missed a fact """ there no shadow of the temple falling Any Where""" """literally no shadow for the temple """"""
Ya that's right
no shadow!? 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
Only in noon
Actually it was misconception.. The shadow of the vimanam will not fall down only when the sun is straight above the vimanam which is 12 noon
The temple vimana is built with 0° inclination angle .

Kumbam is made out of eight seperate rocks. They jointly looks like a single rock. But stil individual rock is 1000s of kg.
80ton means 80,000 kg that single slope

History is GREAT, FANTASTIC, SUPERB!!. But the present status of TAMIL LANGUAGE and TAMIL people ?
Sir it's a sin to adore a language these days... We are unfortunate... I am a Telugu speaking person...feeling more worse
Says an english teacher . Lol. We are all educated and follow western culture now. Even though i like tamil it was the most difficult subject for me. But it's the most beautiful language.
I don’t understand why call Brihadishvara Temple
this original name Peruvudaiya temple
A granite mountain was carved out to this structure !
500👍 I'm special
change the title as Prestigeous Tamil name PERU UDAIYAR KOIL
Typical Sri Lankan Tamil tiger fanatic brain washed to hate Sanskrit, Brahmins and even Hinduism to promote Tamil Nationalism to serve the missionary agenda. Yeah, Tamil is the oldest language with great cultural heritage dating back to Sangam period with its vast, profound, literature. Nevertheless, all those literature and culture are in synch with the tenets of Sanatana Dharma that encompasses a wide and diverse cultural and polytheistic lineage. Instead of promoting inclusiveness and national integration why scream Tamil exceptionalism at every turn? Thanks to the British and the army of missionaries for their fake narrative of Aryan invasion to instill deep division and hatred against Brahmins and Hindus by way of Tamil Nationalism. Ironic that this should happen in a state that boasts awe inspiring ancient Hindu temples across its landscape from Kanyakumari to Kanchipuram. So, cut out this Tamil fanaticism. Yes, I am a proud Tamilian who is Indian and a Hindu first.

... and wait for the Tamil Nationalist fanatics. Brace yourselves *heavy sigh*
It's not Brihadheeswara,
It's Peruvudaiyar Temple
❤️
Both are same
I visited the temple last week...till now I too thought that the kumbham is a single piece stone weighing 80 tons...but the temple records on display state that it is in fact made out if 8 stone pieces...not a small deed anyway but just a common story that needs ratification..
Yet some from peaceful religion tried destroying it
Dei adhu peruvudaiyar koil.
Please correct It's PERUVUDAIYAR TEMPLE. Don't call/ label it as BRAHADEESESHWARA TEMPLE in Sanskritized version. The temple was built for Tamil Ancestor ( Siva) by Tamils and the temple itself despite the Tamil Language and CULTURE. It's a SIN / TRACHERY done to Tamil CULTURE & Tradition, SANSKRITIZING it..
Also,The temple name is changed from pearudayar kovil to brahadhiswara temple.
Tamil name only give our self respect to our temples not Sanskrit name
Raja Raja Chozhar did not discriminate between the two languages, though.
He was broad hearted enough to use two samskrta words =>
"Brihad" => Great, Huge, Infinite
"EEshwara" => the Lord.
He did not, for example, say "Periya Kadavul" or something like that.
Let us stop this artificial war between languages. ALL languages are respectable, equally. It is what is expressed in that language that makes it a worthy or unworthy thought.
why this is not WOW

Copy of history tv18
spelling mistake it is | RAJA RAJA CHOLAN | TAMIZHAN DA!!!!!
This temple name is Tanjore Periya Temple and not with this stupid name .It was built by Tamil king by the name Of King Cholafor Tamil people Non Tamils are only in Tamil Nadu to loot this Temple. This people have no shame and enjoying them with other peoples hard work.
So says a converted Christian trying to instigate Tamil nationalism to divide Hindu nation and promote ant-Sanskrit, anti-Brahmin, anti-Hindu sentiments. Same script followed by the Islamists as well.
