I’m for sure a member of the church of pentel energel haha but sarasa recently got me with their grand pens. Those spring loaded clips really do make a difference tho, especially when some of the pen loops I have are thick leather or maybe the notebook cover is thick.
I love using the Sarasa in my Hobonichi Weeks! I was having a rough time finding something that dried fast and was precise enough for a small space, and they fit the bill beautifully.
I love the Energel, has been my ride or die for years. The refills fit the Zebra Sarasa bodies, which I love because I grab my pen too close to the tip and the clip is perfect everywhere. But I recently tried the Uniball One and is just so nice! The ink is dark dark and smear resistant! I got it as a gift and I’m so thankful for it.
I am not a fan of the Sarasa or especially the Uniball One but I do LOVE the EnerGel. I was so excited to see Energel come out with new colors recently especially after my other two favorites (The Signo DX and Hi Tec C) had so many colors canceled! and
I’m still a big rollerball fan (Team Mitsubishi Uni Air), but gel pens have superseded them for many good reasons. Richer pigmentation, finer tip varieties, less bleed-through and usually no feathering on cheaper papers, and more color varieties. My favorite three families of gels are the Zebra Sarasa, Pentel Energel and Mitsubishi Signo 207/307 series.
The thing I don't like about the One in 0.7 is it seems to really hate cheap paper. That's fine, because I usually have a ballpoint for certain surfaces and expendable options. The sarasa grand looks great, feels great. I wish the original had the lower clip and extended nib. EnerGel for when I don't mind losing one in one of favorite colors, "bordeaux black."
Do you have refills for SARASA Clip Milk Color - 0.5mm - Set of 8, SARASA Decoshine Color - 0.5mm - Set of 10, SARASA Nano - Limited Edition - 4 Color, Pentel energel rtx gel pens 0.7mm, sarasa nano color set think refresh fun relax passion 0.3mm, sarasa nano Bordeaux purple blue black dark grey green black sepia black camel yellow brown grey red black cassis black 0.3mm?🙃
I've tried all but the Energel, since the Energel's don't appeal to me. I have a Sarasa Nano in Night Blue, and frankly I just wish they had it in the standard .5 Sarasa size. I just don't like the tiny tip.
CAUTION for people who buy pens with bodies with plastic front section (part where you hold the pen): almost all pens I tried (including most Zebras and Energels) use material which becomes soft and sticky to touch after about a year, even if the pen is not used, not touched, and kept in a normal room environment. Very unpleasant, probably also unhygienic. It is not dirt, you can not wash or clean it, it is deterioration of plastic used by manufacturer. Some plastics (usually harder) are better, but you can never be certain. It is safer to use a metal body (Sarasa Grand, Pentel Energel Metallic (inexpensive), Pentel Philography, various universal more expensive bodies, etc., etc.). I have not seen any test concentrating on this aspect, it appears that all reviewers use recently purchesed pens and are not aware of that. As I tend to keep pens longer and use refills, I would never buy a pen with a plastic front section. Great video, thank you!
yeah that kind of squishy plastic section bothers me as well .. I have gotten a Sarasa for fun and when this happens I will strip the plastic and replace the portion with linen thread but .. deffinitely when I finally get my hands on Uniball One (still hard to come by one in Europe 4 years after its release) I will be much happier camper :)
Yeah, the stickiness is an inherent vice in many plastics, especially the soft squishy ones. It's a breakdown of the material. Definitely not great in many respects.
It's weird if you have that issue since I never had it. I've had my Zebra Sarasa Vintage, Uni-ball Signo DX, and Pentel EnerGel for almost three years now and have never had any issues with the plastic grips on them. They are stored in a large pen case at room temperature and are still as good as the day I bought them. I had a couple of Pilot G-2 ballpoint pens with that issue, but those were about 12-15 years old when the problem appeared.
When I was a teenager, I found a sarasa clip in my mom's purse and promptly stole it and became a fan for life 😅
Yes,I will spend 15 minutes eagerly watching and listening to those who bespeak the virtues of gel pens...simple pleasures that all can afford.
I love my Vintage, got the whole set, just lovely
Me too!

I love the fact that the Energel refills fit in the sarasa bodies.
@@AMiniki yeessss that's what I'm planning to do when my current refill runs out ❤❤❤
I’m also a big fan of the Sarasa Dry (especially for TRP), and the Sarasa multi with the pencil included.
Thank you, Daisy!!

Uniball one fo life.. hehe..#stationaryfest see you guys there
So informative- thank you Daisy😀

Absolutely love the Sarasa Vintage! I’m intrigued to try the Nano now.
Very informative video thank you for the side by side comparison at the end!! Extremely helpful
The Uniball One and Sarasa gel pens are my favorites. I switch back and forth between using those and my fountain pens. They're great for TRP.
I find gel pens really satisfying to draw with though they're not forgiving at all haha 😂
Team Sarasa Nano! 🙌😸
Pentel Energel A+ Sarasa A+ 😎

Great picks! Thank you for sharing :)
I’m left handed and haven’t smeared an Energel yet!

I like the sarasa Grand. Know they cost a little more
First! Hi Daisy!
Sarasa 🫶🏾💯🙌🏾

Try a new sarasa grand in 0.7 with the adjusted clip.

Uni One circumvents this. That's why it's a go-to for me. Specially the F series.
