  • Mark Mattar, MD is a board certified internist and gastroenterologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of GI ailments including Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome and colon cancer. In addition to standard GI procedures like colonoscopies, Dr. Mattar also performs Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) or fecal transplant in patients with Clostridium difficile or C. diff.

    Hi I have NAFLD and my enzymes are high, and my blood is abnormal , I was told to see a doctor like you, and Is this going to be painful, do i havta go under, Anastasha, I'm 56 yrs old f and am I gonna die from this, I'm on Vitamin D-3 50 mgs , I trying to eat well, Could it be a medication that is doing this or is this from eating lotts of sugar please get back to me, I cannot stop thinking of this, please help me any words of wisdom?

    question .. I’m considering my daughter if 7 yrs old as a donor. Do u feel there is a benefit difference with a child decal vs an adult? ... Thnk u so much for ur time -

    Dr .1 year ago I had a colonoscopy 1 year ago.6 months ago Had the worst abdominal pains. Every hospital said I it was coming from back. Went back to original doctor , abdominal pain said my results last year were fine, you had Colitis @ digit you lots. The doctor put me on Metamucil and Miramax. I explained I only have bowl moment every five days. When I got home I was so sick never even started Metamucil yet, Count eat for 4 days absolutely nothing. later the first day green giant things like pickles refuses was pouring out of me 3x a day for 4 days. I searched green mucous and showed the exact pictures. Lost 22pounds. Went back to Colonoscopy told him green large picks like fetus like was pouring out of me. He sad pickles? Fetus thought I was crazy. Back to 1 day every 4 to 5 day chronic constipation, realized thanks to doctors like you. I went to G I doctor 3 months later. Asked for a parasite test a couple others. Never thought of pancreas or blatter. Showed him pictures now the stool was small logs with hundreds a pinpoint black holes,after started lioness. First disbarred then small staple size fluffy hand full of stool was coming out flushed into sawdust .I decided to add 8 total seana 4x night4x morning. Added 5 mayo 7 per day. Little tiny staples at I nest fish worm like stool. Added probiotics 3 months later passing 30 quarter like black rubber took out w gloves saved them. Ever since that going every other day with black intwind stool I black round quarters. 2 weeks later they shrunk to cement. Obsessed with glove . logs with black holes. Scared. Help thank you!
