It looks like the blue color is definitely stronger on the Angelfish in their picture, but lighting can affect that so much. It makes me wonder if they enhance their pictures.

Just ordered 10 to get 13. Toss em in new set up 75g tank and not care how they look later. I'll just enjoy them as fish

So I ordered the Philipine Blue Pinots, the Blue Pinoy Veil Widefins, the Blue Pinoy Paraiba, and the Blue Pinoy Pearlscale.
I’m 8 months in, and really no one is looking like the pictures. The Blue Pinoy Veil Widefins are a beautiful fish, but look completely black. The pearlscale just look Smokey with no pearling.
I will say, I think they shipped you a Paraiba instead of a Blue Pinoy Veil Widefin….because that’s what my Paraibas look like.
Genetics are strange, and I’m sure it’s hard to pick out the best coloration when they’re dime sized and quarter sized. Overall, they’re very healthy fish and I only lost 2 out of the 18 I ordered. I even have a couple of breeding pairs now. I say order more and see what you end up with!

I think you mentioned something in this video about checking out other websites like Angels Plus to possibly order angelfish (I could be wrong) well good luck with that one. Everything they show is pretty much sold out.

I have ordered here in the past with great fins and color, but I just got 2 separate shipments from them and kinda disappointed in the finnage got the Pinoy wide veil fin and most of the dorsal fins are kinked and most have uneven pectoral fins. I also got some of the blue marble and rainbow marbles. Great shape dorsal on all of them but 6 out of the 7 of those have uneven pectoral fins. Kinda disappointed. The amount of strains they offer is great but I fell like quality may be affected. If I could see the parents of the batches I’d be more likely to buy again if they are impressive.

Thanks for posting about your experience. Yeah the angels definitely have potential to be stunning. Unfortunate that so many fins are damaged given that they boast about culling for that. Maybe just shipping them at a larger size would help solve this problem for them. Is the Pinoy Wide Veil Fin old enough to tell if it is veil or not?

I'm very sorry for your disappointment. But what you're paying for is the genes on these fishes. Of course they can't guarantee they will look exactly like the parents. Its nature. But, they have that gene inside of them for a chance to look exactly what's pictured.
