Very cool way to camp in a setting enjoyed by few

We love getting out to the secluded spots, definitely a fun way to camp in relative comfort while still having the main space as the outdoors.

My favorite Hiker channel!! Love the beautiful video and of course seeing your pups. Is the other pup a pointer mix, GWP? Also do love the music. Can u share this location?

Thanks! If you're referring to Ross and Coty's pup, she is a Giant Schnauzer. Never knew those existed, super cool breed! Unfortunately I don't like to share our specific spots but am happy to share the general area. We are camped on a small spur road off FR300 (Rim Road). There are tons of great camping spots up there so definitely check out a Forest Service map and look for "designated dispersed camping corridors" in the area.

Love watching you guys when you put out a video. I wish our music taste was more similar, I have to turn the sound off when you do back-ground or B-roll stuff. But like someone once said, "there are only two genre's of music, music you like and music you don't like”. Hope to see you guys some time when I'm on the rim!

Totally get it! It can be challenging finding music without copyright issues for public use. We certainly don't love every song but just try to find ones that match the energy of the scene.

What your is your Xterra & which parts leak the most oil?

It was a 2013 and was in perfect mechanical shape at 130k miles. Just kept up on fluid changes, never any substantial maintenance from 55k - 130k while we owned it. Unfortunately due to a red light runner it was totaled.

Where on the rim is this? Would love to experience this! Do you have coordinates?

Unfortunately I don't like giving away our specific spots. However I'm always happy to help people learn my research method.
My primary tools for locating campsites are OnX-OffRoad maps, Google Maps and the forest service website maps. Coconino NF has a bit more restrictions on dispersed camping so you need to look at their maps for the season and reference the dispersed camping corridors. Within these corridors you are able to dispersed camp (in a vehicle) up to 300 feet off a designated route, where as everywhere else in the forest is limited to 30 feet off a forest road. (Don't quote me on the ladder it could be less but definitely not more).
If you have any additional questions feel free to ask.

@@desertpointadventures Thank You! I appreciate this! I live somewhere in the southwest and so far I plan on getting a Hiker Trailer within a year. Mogollon Rim will definitely be one of my destinations.
