Hi friend! My mom has had Covid twice. She was just hospitalized again but for a virus called Human Metapneumovirus. The doc I talked to said they’re finding pts that were previously infected with Covid are now getting this virus because they’re more susceptible

For some reason my comment didn't appear, anyway just wanted to sorry to hear about your mum, hope she's doing better now. Are you on instagram or you can drop me your email if you wanted a chat. I have to admit, not heard of human metapneumovirus will have a little research to see if its on the rise. Thank you for sharing that. Your friend, Khalid :)

Tested positive on 7/22/22. Not sure what variant I have, but it knocked me out. First day was a very high fever of 102.7, neck pain, body aches, spike in blood pressure, congestion, and cough. Next day slight fever, neck pain, fatigue, worsening cough, congestion, and phlegm. The following day after that, progressing sore throat, neck pain, continued phlegm, fatigue, and slight headache. Today, sore throat, cough, phlegm, neck pain, and ear ache. Covid sucks!

(37 year old female, not that fit but not unfit or unhealthy either, I do exercise regularly and follow intermittent fasting principles) I am suffering from year round allergies (small house, three cats, no balcony for litter boxes, polluted middle eastern country, etc) and Omicron hit me harder than I had hoped. My husband has a 9 to 5 job and he couldn't wear a mask every day for 8 hours. He started getting horrible headaches last Saturday and by Tuesday he was so tired he couldn't go to work. I started feeling more congested than usual by Wednesday. When I woke up on Thursday I had a mild sore throat which didn't really get much worse to be honest. What really troubled me was the cough. At times I couldn't breathe because I could feel mucus building up but my body seemed unable to pass the mucus, and I kept coughing to the point that my insides were on fire. I had no difficulty holding my breath for 40 seconds and I didn't feel out of breath when I was not coughing. Today is day 3 of my official sickness; I had a fever of 101.5 for the past two days but today the fever broke. The strange fatigue and the coughs, combined with the already congested, allergy-striken nose are the top three ailments that are driving me mad right now, not to mention the looming fear of developing long covid or more serious complications in the days and weeks to come. I think it's partly the fear that is keeping me from recovering quickly.
    Other symptoms:
▪︎night sweats (mine occurred in the evening while I was asleep) only once, I am expecting to get my period in a day or two, and I think it's contributed to the worsening of some of my symptoms such as headache and back pain. But, frustrating as they are, they are not making life hell for me.
▪︎Sneezing (covid or good old allergies idk)
▪︎back pain (very mild and not frequent)
    ▪︎headache (comes and goes, moderate)
▪︎Sore throat almost completely gone today (never really hurt that much the past three days, but still frustrating)

Hi, thanks for the video and information. I got this new variant (I've had COVID twice already in the past 2 years and since getting it the first time I've had heart palpitations ongoing to this day).. With this new variant at the moment I also have the worst sore throat I've ever had in my life. I had flu like symptoms for the first 3 days with a sore throat but today my voice has completely gone, not able to speak, only whisper.
My sore throat feels like I've swallowed a golf ball, thinking this has something to do with inflammation? Even when I touch this part of my neck, it hurts. Thought I'd share this with anyone who thinks they might have it and why it might be a good thing to rest because it's not very pleasant! Good news though, my voice is returning!!

    • @doctorkhalid
      @doctorkhalid  2 роки тому +1

You're quite right, when your throat is inflamed it will be painful to swallow. Your tonsils are likely swollen which can cause tenderness. Hopefully you are on the mend.

    • @FitChickGlows
      @FitChickGlows 2 роки тому +1

Continue to rest your voice. Very important as you do NOT want the hoarse voice or whisper voice to stick and have "long covid"/chronic inflammation of the vocal cords as in my case. Omicron 1 or 2 (I got it in Feb 2022 so it was definitely Om 1 or 2 that I had) left me with long covid of the vocal cords to this day. I now have a continued hoarse, squicky/ electronic and gravelly voice off and on, waxing and waning throughout the day getting worse as the day progresses ~ as I use my voice. I also have to clear it alot in the mornings to clear out the coating/phlegm there as if I still have a cold in my vocal cords. Really weird as I never had this pre-covid. So do keep your voice rested as you recover. Also, don't push yourself as you recover and try not to push on resuming full on exercising for at least a month or two after Covid so as not to encourage Covid inflammation to Trojan Horse to your heart or other places. Take you time recovering. Your body will thank you. God bless you!

It started with pain in my right lung ribs like when you lift heavy stuff in an uncomfortable position. My temp has occasionally been to 105F. Cough and phlegm remain constant.I've had three times that woken up to liquid sweating sessions and a few wet sweating hair while I'm awake. I am fatigued continually. My calf and shoulder muscles were sour in the beginning.I'm sensing a lack of appetite, but I'm eating. Don't have a sore throat (next phase?) I am om my 13th day and it is starting to wane.-----------------Thank Doc, showing the new symptom in order is awesome!

I tested positive on August 14th. My first symptoms were sore throat (not severe) and sinus pain and pressure, followed by fatigue and low grade fever with minor chill sensations alternating with sweating. I the fevers lasted about 2 days. I also had a slight runny nose and a cough that was sometimes productive. I had diarrhea and altered sense of taste, but those were possibly related to the Paxlovid I took starting later the day I tested positive (in the wee hours of the morning). I didn't have body aches, but my leg muscles sometimes felt a little like they do after a challenging bike ride. I was testing negative on rapid antigen by 4 days after I started the Paxlovid (possibly earlier was taking them every OTHER day) and my symptoms have not recurred/worsened. An antigen test 48 hours after stopping that medicine was negative, as was one two days after that. A week after diagnosis I might be a smidge more tired than usual and I cough occasionally, but I'm basically back to normal. I'm a middle-aged female whose only underlying condition is elevated BMI. I am vaccinated and boosted (Pfizer), my last dose of which was last October. Whether because of vaccinations, antiviral meds, the nature of my initial exposure (I think I got it at the state fair. I did wear an N95 in the large, air-conditioned building, but not elsewhere) which might not have involved that many initial viral particles (relative to living with someone or, God knows, intubating someone who was the disease), or some unknown fluke of genetics or previous immunity, I feel like I got off really easy and my symptoms truly were mild, as opposed to mild just meaning I didn't require supplementary oxygen (my pulse oximeter never went below 97) or hospitalization.

I had Covid in December and had mostly GI problems, the runs and nausea. I could not eat for 2 weeks, just drank Pediolate, and water, and sucked cough drops. It also set off my arthritis so bad, I could hardly get in and out of bed. Very few nose and throat symptoms, just coughing.

My husband tested positive on July 4. Sore throat was his main complaint the day before testing. Then a runny nose similar to a sinus infection for the next three days. I became symptomatic July 5 with sore scratchy throat and fatigue. Day 2 was like the flu with headache, stuffy nose, fatigue, body aches, nausea, and occasional runny nose. The next 4 days were similar to a head cold. My husband and I were vaxed last year along with one booster.

Fever of 38.7C on Tues night July 19th. Positive PCR test on Fri July 22nd.
No sore throat (thankfully) or coughing. No runny or stuffed nose.
During the first five days: Dizziness & lightheadedness; tired eyes; constant fever but only up to 38.3C; muscle and joint aches; loss of appetite; weakness; hoarse voice. Was taking paracetamol and ibuprofen.
Day 6: nausea, diarrhea and vomiting
Days 6-10: low grade fever even though I was taking fever reducers; slightly lessening weakness; increasing appetite. Started taking aspirin.
Currently on Day 12 and ever since yesterday, I have a dry cough and shortness of breath; getting stronger each day though.
I am a 43 yo woman with absolutely no health issues. Unvaccinated & never before infected. Oxygen & pulse were constantly good, never lost sense of smell or taste. Remained home and although the symptoms were mild (and therefore I foolishly thought I'd glide through unscathed), they were persistent (which worried me around Day 6 because I was expecting to have already bounced back). Am recovering with lots of rest and practicing seated Qigong. Continuing to take vitamins C, D & B complex along with 100mg Aspirin each day.

Watched this as this is my second bout of Covid despite just having my Autumn booster. My symptoms were so much like a cold this time (scratchy and then tender sore throat, coughing and blocked nose and a few hot flushes and intermittent mild headache) that I kept on doing normal things inclding cold water swimming which eased my symptoms. No aches or pains or the crushing fatigue I had last time. I only just got back from a few days away and tested because my daughter tested positive. I tested positive too. Are we just going to live with Covid now it's impossible to tell the symptoms from a seasonal cold or dowe test every time we get any cold symptoms.

Tested positive on 09/28/22. Moderna for all 3 shots. Did not get the latest booster.
Go back a week from the 28th and I had a funny sore throat. Nothing scratchy and not really difficult to swallow. But there was a difference. The night of 09/27 I had the same really quick flashing of scenes dreams as I did the night I received all the shots. Thought nothing of it. Woke up on 09/28, went to work. Got there at 4am. Felt fine. By 9am I was not so good. Low grade 100.3 fever. But was sweating a lot. Legs wobbly. Talked with my Manager. No quick test for me. Had to get PCR test. Damn. Not happy. That was at 9:30am. Left work and from 10am till 1pm I slept. That is when the runny nose slight cough started. Not too bad yet. Restless feeling all the rest of the day. Fuzzy head. 09/29 woke up sneezing and bad runny nose. Cough still not bad. No continuous coughing spells. Legs the same feeling. Finally at 4pm my fever broke. Highest it went was 101.
09/30 was no real interest in eating. Although I wanted a steak. Hot feeling but no fever. Ears had a lot of pressure on this day than previous days. Ringing ears are not nice to go to sleep with. Less stuffy and less of a runny nose. Cough less. So on 09/29 I started eating blueberries and kiwi. Bought protein drinks. Microwaveable tomato soup. Tried to eat cottage cheese but it did not taste good. Watching my sugar intake. No cold drinks.
I wish I had went and got the 4th dose but I did not. Well that is my COVID story so far. Only 3rd day in.

Slight fever, runny nose and the worst sore throat ever. I'd rather have strep throat. On day 2 I started with 400mg ibuprofen for throat pain plus 25mg benadryl. I did this every 12 hours. The symptoms of sore throat were almost eliminated along with the runny nose. Drank plenty of water, though was not hungry. Did not experience the fatigue others have had. I was feeling well enough after 4 days to stop the meds. I lost 8lbs!

@@jordanfriedman6604 It’s different for everyone. I believe there is a connection between symptom severity and initial exposure. The longer you were in contact with the person who you got it from the higher the viral load will be. Your immune system needs time to deploy. A smaller initial viral load should give you more time ( theoretically). A larger load will have more time.
There is a lot that is unknown of course. It’s been a month so hopefully you have recovered.

I was fully vaccined & 1 booster last Dec. 3rd. I'm also 71 with asthma. Very mild case I feel. Extreme fatigue.

Tested positive yesterday am (twice). Doc immediately put me on paxlovid. Headache and muscle aches have been the worst. Temp spiked to 102.6, but down to 99 today. No sore throat but my eyes hurt and it's only day 2. Should I get the 4th booster after this (technically qualified) or just wait until new vax is available? Thanks.

On my 5th day now, it's not THAT bad, but still sick & still feeling bad. And everything still tastes metallic. Wtf am i supposed to eat to get better if i can't taste anything. Weird thing is, i can smell fine. I've had covid 5x, and symptoms for ba5 is in between delta & the early omicron. And people are right, it haa flu-like symptoms, i thought at first might be the flu. I hope to God i get better already. Can't live like this! 😭

9/6/22 I'm not sure I have it. I have tested myself but it come back negative. Although I have some symptoms such as very mild sore throat. Some chills and overall not feeling well like not feeling like I wanted to get out of the bed but when I did I felt better but wanted to get back in bed (strange) the first two days from this current date but not now.
All I'm experiencing now is just sweating more so than I should and feel weird in my chest and back (between shoulder blades) I have no fatigue. Very little cough and sneezed maybe twice in the past three days. I had delta last year at this time and it seems like it's the same as what I had minus the fatigue and so far the severity. Delta wiped me out for three weeks. Hoping this is the extent of it if it is indeed COVID. Non vaxxed late 40s and in relatively good health. The only thing I have taken is zinc vitamins since feeling this way.

Had Delta in October and what I would guess is Omicron B5 in July. No sore throat but have heard of others calling it worse then strep. Not v’ed , followed FLCCC protocol, quite mild in both cases (couple of tired night with B5, maybe 4 with Delta) with some fatigue after . My parents in their 70s also not v’ed only caught B5 in July, same protocol fine in 3 days. We do take our supplements and all of our vitamin D is high (57-79 ng) . I would definitely not say my dad, who drinks a lot , has a big belly and spends more time on the iPad then he should is in great health and he was fine with the protocol. Maybe a night of light chills that he sweated out and a couple of days of fatigue.
