I am from the Netherlands, BA.5 is already a month dominant here. There are very few people in the hospitals here because of COVID, so do not panic. It is no issue here.
Well i have this strain and i can tell ya it's not a cakewalk . Fever 4 days extremely bad cough shortness of breath runny nose and so on and I'm in the middle of it! ! So please judge when you walked the walk. And i was boosted in January
I am 70 and healthy although I had cancer with chemo and radiation in 2001. I had 4 vaccines--the last one on April 5. I was diagnosed with COVID on April 26. I have never been as sick as I was with this strain of COVID. The worst symptom for me was nausea. Ended up in the ER twice--never admitted. I would not call my symptoms mild. Take care and don't dismiss your symptoms. Thanks Dr Mike for such excellent videos.
I am 68 and not vaccinated as I have a heart condition. I had flu symptoms for about two weeks, no sore throat, but chest congestion and 2 days of diarrhea. Used OTC meds and getting better.
Our family not vaxxed. My husband and I (in our 50s) contracted covid last week and got mild cold symptoms. 2 teenagers even less. Our innate immune systems seemed to work well.
Journey Jacksons so right! New studies are coming out that find we’re safer relying our immune system than the vax which make one more susceptible to the virus
I'm over it. There is only so much fear, uncertainty and doubt a human being can tolerate. At this point if I get sick and die, then I get sick and die. The world cannot survive being shut down forever and neither can I.
Grow up, I guess. You're already living life on Easy mode, and you can't even handle wearing a little tiny mask? Lol, you're gonna do GREAT when the hard stuff starts.
I’m a Doc, and recently had Covid after having my booster in Nov. Had sore throat and fevers of 103 to 104F and terrible cough and fatigue. I’ve never been so sick in my life. I’m otherwise pretty healthy for my age of 57. I jog and bike regularly. My teenagers didn’t get sick with any symptoms. I developed an eczematous rash and blistering lesions after getting the vaccines, so I was not in a hurry to get another booster. I’m still feeling fatigued after a month.
I have experienced horrible symptoms with my three shots. The third shot was the worst with a general eczema in my legs and arms for three weeks. Close to get my fourth shot, I got Covid for second year, with all the symptoms mentioned in this video. For this second time, the sore throat was the most painful. And again 14-21 days of fatigue. I’m waiting to feel better to get my fourth shot, but of course, apprehensive about getting after vaccines symptoms again. All my shots were Moderna.
My sons dad ( 56) had this variant recently. 4 days of fever and sore throat. He’s 56 and unvaccinated with a compromised immune system and chronic asthma. He required no medical intervention and made a full recovery. I had the omicron variant last December ( 2 weeks of exhaustion but otherwise no symptoms) and haven’t caught this latest variant ( to my knowledge) despite being in close contact with several people who have tested positive for it. I haven’t had any vaccinations. Could it just be that some people’s immune systems are better at fighting this despite vaccination status? The only people I know personally who’ve got really sick from covid have been fully vaccinated . Purely anecdotal I know, but I haven’t seen a pattern of more severe illness amongst my unvaccinated family and friends, if anything it’s been the opposite.
Tricky to know why. No vax in our family and coped very well with omicron. I think these multiple vaxes aren't doing the immune system any favours. Starting to hear several "I've had 3, I'm not having more" comments
A friend of mine and her husband who were unvaxxed that both ended up in the hospital for a couple of weeks. I take immunosuppressants and was vaxxed and boosted, and was mildly sick for 2 weeks. It al depends on the person. It's like Russian roulette.
I am a nurse who refused the vaccine and had to submit a religious exemption to stay employed. Last January, we had an outbreak of omicron at my dementia unit where 20 of our residents contracted it. All of the residents were boosted in December. I finally caught it despite wearing N95 respirators as did several of my coworkers, vaccinated and not vaccinated. All I got was a fever, headache, and diarrhea. After three days, my symptoms were gone. I was back to work after 5 days, taking care of the covid positive residents. I stopped testing positive on rapid tests after 12 days. The person who brought in omicron was a restorative therapy CNA who had also recieved their booster dose in December. She did a 20 minute therapy session with who would become the first resident to test positive during this outbreak on Thursday, December 30th. She didn't feel well on Friday, test negative on a rapid test, and a PCR test was submitted. The results came back late Sunday that she was positive, and she became more symptomatic over the weekend. This resident she unknowingly exposed tested positive Sunday night. Jan 2nd. I took care of this resident on 3rd shift Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night. My before and after shift rapid tests were negative Sunday night, Monday morning, Monday night, Tuesday morning, and Tuesday night. My PCR test from Monday morning was negative. Wednesday morning, my rapid test was positive, a 2nd one was again positive, and PCR I did after those two test came back positive two days later.
@@iammissiemarie4302 I'd recently seen a news program that found that the nano barium particles sprayed in chem-trails impacts our breathing and immune system. This may be why so many otherwise healthy people are getting sick. We're being poisoned by our air, water, foods, you name it! Our mission has to be about maintaining our immune systems to stay alive. Sadly, it's not going to get much better.
Ye I see where you are coming from and like you said it is probably the persons immune systems as Like uou probably already know you have people that catch anything and everything and see always at the doctors Then you have others that have many been to doctors a few times in their life and don't catch anything. Personally I think it is to do with the Immune system and how it works good or bad 💙🏴
It’s not an all or nothing proposition. He implies you should eat healthy and in another video talks about the importance of your vitamin D levels in helping with your immunity. Watch more of his videos to get properly educated on this.
@@aalmi002 This plus eliminate junk food/ fast food and moderate exercise gives us extra protection against infection. Depression also lowers the immune system, so emotional health is important as well. Hope this helps. All the pharmaceutical companies care about is profitability and not public health. Downside of life in a capitalist system 😔
I got a mild case of original Covid early March 2021. Then I took both shots of Pfizer in late July and August. Both shots made me feel ill for 24 hours and the second one gave me a pain in my heart. It scared me very much. I took an aspirin every 6 hours that day and the pain went away. I do not want to get any ore shots!!! I’m 63 and live healthfully. But you are promoting more shots for someone like me. I don’t think they’re as helpful as you say.
I'm 59. Both Pfizer shots gave me heart palpitations and chest pain. No more shots for me. I've just had this new covid variant and treated the symptoms. The shots don't help concerning these new variants, according to my doctor and my experience confirms it. Stick to your guns. God bless you.
My dad got vaccinated and boosters and hasn’t had Covid, but after being vaccinated and boosters was put on heart monitor at home and never had high blood pressure or heart problems or any health problems, he’s lost 40lbs and not active like he was, he’s 79 but has always been like a energizer bunny until he got vaccinated. It’s not worth it.
They’re helpful for what they’re designed for. Basically all the deaths from delta were unvaccinated folks, so it helped dramatically there. These new variants may be more contagious and milder, so getting vaccinated for these strains may not be as much of an emergency as delta or alpha were. So if a new massively deadly strain comes around, targeted vaccines will be a good idea. It’s all context.
I’m in my late 60s with T2 diabetes. I had the first two vaccinations but no boosters yet. I contracted covid early in July. After being diligent about wearing a mask and using sanitizer these past 2 1/2 years, I slacked off. It started like a head cold but quickly moved into my lungs and the sore throat started. On about the fourth day, I got a touch of pneumonia. I also received an infusion of monoclonal antibodies on the 4th day. Besides the lung congestion, I had one of the worst sore throats I’ve ever had. After about 9-10 days I was feeling much better but still had some congestion. That is pretty much gone now but my sense of smell and taste is off a bit. I’m also a bit fatigued.
While it may SEEM like it GOT you because you "slacked" off of your PRECAUTIONS, all of the SERIOUS research is showing the opposite. The more highly vaxxed and masked your country is, the higher your rates of infection eg. Japan. PS How can the NIH, FDA, WHO justify perscribing Moderna for CHILDREN when it has been BANNED in Europe for males under 30 years old, for OVER a year now due to serious heart inflammation in young males? Why is OUR system NOT raising the alarm?
This is exactly how it is going for me. I thought it was just sinus drainage with the weather changing. Waiting to hear from my doctor. I have risks. I'll probably get Paxlovid. My bronchial tubes are starting to ache just a little. I hope your better.
@@wendi2819 - Have you read about Paxlovid? I was going to take it but certain drugs really mess up my stomach. I joined a covid Facebook group and stomach issues seemed to be the main complaint. I’m not saying you shouldn’t take it but just be aware. I know not everyone can get the infusion. I was lucky because I live on a very rural area (with a lot of vivid deniers) so I had no problem getting it. My husband was also able to get the infusion. I think it helped.
If you vaccinate during a pandemic. You have a time lag for the vax to work, i.e. partially vaccinated people. So the virus develops in ways that get around the vaccine. The real experts said this 18 months ago.
corona virus's don't mutate strategically like bacterium do. The simply mutate haphazardly. If they do evade a vaccine, it's cause they've mutated thousands of times, to the point that the vaccine is no longer effective. So when the vaccines first came out, the virus hadn't mutated enough to render the vaccine inefficiant. They were still 90% efficiant.
My son went to summer camp starting 7/4. 3 days later, he developed a sore throat and low grade fever. Every day, his symptoms turned into something else. By that Monday, I also developed the worst sore throat I’ve never had. I thought my throat was going to close. This was followed by an extreme runny nose, muscle aches, fatigue and brain fog. It now feels like it’s getting toward the end and both my son and I have residual congestion and nasty coughs. My husband did not get sick at all, despite being around us all day and night and taking no precautions at all. The weird thing is, all our home tests were negative and my PCR on day 6 was also negative. I swear our symptoms matched yours exactly though.
Mask could prevent this! And the virus is inside your husband body working their self out. It can take 7 to 30 days for the signs of the virus appearing.
@@swtstgrlcaroline my little cousin tested positive for Strep, Covid, and Pink Eye all at the same time!! She was soo sick, almost went to the hospital, but she pulled through. She missed 2 weeks of school & failed her classes. This is after 3 doses of V... it's hard for me to believe that the shots did her any favors. I am so scared that they hurt her immune system. She was super healthy before them! Now she has the weirdest periods & is always complaining about cramps & sleeping in her room, she doesn't even care to see her friends anymore. Very worried..
My whole family was just sick with covid. 24 hours of fever, then a sore throat with runny nose. 7 days later I'm fine. The worst part was the fever. My dad is the last person to get it, the worst part for him was the sore throat. He compared it to getting his tonsils out as a child. (We never got the shot) My mother had COPD and sleep apnea and she was just fine.
I came down with Covid around the 8th of June. I had just taken my mom to the Dr Monday of that week & she was tested negative for Covid, she just had a virus. I was fine until Thursday of that week & woke up with a bad headache that I had all day. The following day when I got up, I felt like someone had taken every bit of energy out of me like I could just collapse from walking. It lasted at least 6+ days. During that time, I had a sore throat for 2-3 days. Too, I had no taste buds whatsoever for at least 3+ weeks. I hardly ever get sick & wouldn't wish that on anyone.
@@kea7721 Is it , jeezo I wouldn't want to suffer on my own especially in hospital. I don't know anybody who's had it bad or lasted more than 3 days yet.
@@shonamcwilliam4171 you must not know too many people. I have multiple friends of all ages and health levels, about 10 hospitalized and many others sick, missed work for 1 to 3 weeks. I caught it last Monday. Tested positive, went to urgent care for advice, out of the 25 people that were there, I was the only one that was unvaccinated. Even the Doctor said that out of all the people she has seen that day, that me being the unvaccinated one stood out as being the healthiest amongst everyone there
We need to _control_ for observation. The majority of people are vaccinated. A bigger proportion of _inherently_ vulnerable people are vaccinated. In terms of the course of time there are less unvaccinated remaining to be hospitalised and die who are _inherently_ vulnerable to the virus. It would be disingenuous to compare (I'm presuming your fairly young and healthy) between an unvaccinated 20 year old to a triple vaccinated 80 year old with health issues.
I live in Massachusetts where they just stopped reporting cases on weekdays in favor of reporting weekly. Right as we're going into the next wave of covid-19 in the last week our hospitalizations have gone up somewhere between 5 and 8% depending on what metric you use and the first day of reporting in this new schedule they reported 7,000 new cases on 94,000 tests. Last winter we were performing around 120,000 tests per day but we have pretty much given up and no one is wearing a mask but me. I am the last Carpenter that I know of who wears a mask at work all day everyday if I plan on having a sip of coffee I go to my truck if I'm going to drink a water I step outside and away from the airflow of the building full of maskless contractors and drink my water. I eat my lunch in my truck and I use hand sanitizer before I touch my face. There is no one else who still does this in my periphery. I hope everyone stays safe and I hope each wave of covid becomes less deadly but I doubt that will be the case
I’m from Massachusetts and Work in the Medical Field and it’s absolutely mind blowing how many people are coming in to the ER. It’s scary! I’m not getting anymore boosters either I think I’m looking for a new carrier maybe work online. I’m burnt out! We received hardly no recognition for our sacrifice. Wait we received cookies from our cafeteria 🙄😤
We personally are proactive the same way in Michigan. You aren't alone, we've never stopped the masks no matter where we are unless we're at home. Saw the dentist yesterday and only the Drs and techs had masks, not one other patient in the waiting room wore one in. I was proudly wearing my n95 getting looks like I had the plague, ironic really. I think mask wearing is completely advisable indoors everywhere with the exceptions of in your familial areas. Stay safe! 🙏

55 yrs young, recently had Covid, prevalent symptoms over 5 to 7 days. Double inoculation in 2021. Started with feeling a little off, sore throat for about 2 days, nausea, chilled, cough and heavy congestion in nasal area, migraine, diarrhea; no pain in muscles or joints, no sweats, no loss of appetite and no loss of energy, no sleep disruption. Waning now with random cough and congestion in nasal area. Thanks for sharing knowledge and stories, stay strong 🙏
Ten days ago I got sick with mild on/off fever, on/off headache, aches and chills, cough and congestion, and general discomfort. The sore throat came on after about 3 days and lasted about 2 days. I'm now on the back end of covid and what remains for me is a stuffy nose, chest congestion, and general fatigue. Thanks for all the great information!
Same for me, going on almost a month since onset of symptoms. I didn't get the toxic jabs. I must say that I've had worse bouts of flu way in the past. This was mild compared to regular flu.
I tested positive for Covid-19 on July 15th, and compared to the first battle with the virus which was in December of 2019, this variant is much different. The first variant I contacted hit me like a hammer, sore throat, fever, fatigue, cough, running nose, stiffness in the back of neck, lost sense of smell and taste and headaches all at once. I was in bed for four days with no appetite whatsoever. I returned to work after a week and a half but it took me about another month to fully recover. Keep in mind, this was before Covid-19 pandemic was officially named. This present variant is quite different. I have been vaccinated but not boosted. I had all of the previous symptoms albeit milder, but the symptoms are lingering much longer this time, and coming in stages. As of August 1st, I'm still testing positive and still have symptoms. I believe this virus will keep mutating and keep changing and will be with us for years to come. I truly believe that we have to treat Covid-19 like a marathon race and not a sprint.
Me as well.dec/ jan 2019.diareah and dry cough for 5 days, no other symptoms.never have a cough theory is prior infection of flu/ and or/ common cold infers some imunity.?.
There is more to immunity than the adaptive immune system alone. With immune escape of these new variants getting Covid gives you better immunity than the shots.
@@russellmania5349 We know who you mean: the mad veterinarian. His theories are still pure trash. The variants are coming from people who are infected, whether vaccinated or not. He should know there are four factors that affect RNA virus mutation: 1) intrinsic factors in the virus 2) number of hosts 3) average viral load of the hosts 4) duration of infection. The vaccines don't affect the first factor and they improve the other factors. Everybody who took high school biology should have learned that. He has been debunked since he started spouting his hoaxes. YT deletes comments with external links, so you will have to do your own research... but you don't seem very big on that anyway.
I recently had it . It was only two days of raised temperature. My strength never went. I thought it was a typical summer flu. But someone I met said he had Covid and so I was surprised that my symptoms are actually from this virus. The other person was also fit again after two days. Compared to the earlier covid infection that I had before this one was absolutely benign.
Its soo variable. I had 3 days of pain and fever. Then stuffy nose and throat 3 days. In 7days i was negative. but here is the catch, i never got weak like the flu....its soo wierd.
What? I have it now, am young and perfectly healthy, vaccinated and double-boosted. This variant is NO JOKE. I’m on day 5 and only barely feeling better.
Both of my parents died during lockdown, from things unrelated to this situation, and my mom directly said that, although she got all of her jabs and was not a disbeliever at all, she felt like a victim of it due to not going to doctors and not getting it caught in time. Now I’m having some health issues, unrelated to this situation, and I’m having trouble getting a doctors appointment. I also got some very bad issues related to the jab. I’ve been a very true believer my whole life, but I’m starting to feel very bad about all of this. Very much like, although I got this thing which can’t be mentioned, I also have much worse issues that aren’t being treated. Why can’t we even talk about it?
My family and I are taking 12mgs 2 tablets of Ivermectin at once when we have some signs and symptoms of Covid. It took us only one day, then we recovered. Ivermectin is very effective for Covid on the First Onset of the disease.
@Media Content ~ My sincere condolences for the loss of your parents. You didn’t mention your Country, but can you possibly go to Urgent Care for your current issue? Your untreated (worse) issues need a Doc who will get your history, labs, etc. In the U.S. you need a primary doctor to refer you to a specialist if one or more are needed. If you live elsewhere, you may be able to see a specialist right away. When you call for appointments, mention your symptoms for your worse issues and ask for the soonest available and/or ask if you can be on a cancellation list. If someone last minute cancels their appointment, they would call you to see if you can come in. Otherwise, I’m not certain to whom you want to discuss your concerns. Do be assertive about saying what your issues are, how long you’ve had them, and politely but firmly insist you need to be seen the sooner the better. Good luck!
You don't have to try to convince people that u or ur family members are or were believers of the vaccine. Its not against the law to not believe in them. Don't let extremist provaxxers intimidate you. You have a right to believe what you WANT to believe.
Please go to the doctor. I finally got xrays for pain I was having during 2020. The radiologist and I were conversing and I had told her I waited to get my pain checked because doctors and nurses were being overworked. She stated to not think that and that my health is important too. It turned out to be nothing serious, and had to do with weak muscles. I felt better after stretching it and strengthening it. Please get checked 💓
I had Delta in February, no walk in the park and I'm asthmatic..,but I think my existing asthma protocol and having a nebulizer on hand for albuterol treatments made a difference.. The cough lasted at least a month after virus cleared. But I'm not going to live in fear every time a variant raises its head.
Me too have asthma actually ended up getting pneumonia . My albuterol was no longer helping . So went to the hospital. But before I went, I did a breathing treatment . And waiting 2 hours to get a room. When I finally got my room my breathing was good. So all they did is test. And I did have minor pneumonia . I thought I was gonna get put on a ventilator. Maybe being asthmatic and having inhalers helps us get through this
If I get Covid again I will rather die than to take this ... I had it twice and feel I have it now again for the 3rd time .. First time I thought I was dying... Then extreme fatigue for 2 days, and a 38.5 fever. I'm triple vacced . This is the 1st time I've had covid. Glad to see you're also back to your old self
I just want to know how exactly they know you have COVID when the tests have no way of identifying something like that, let alone none of these strains have been put in a centrifuge. What is this mythical virus that has no evidence?
I am triple vaxed as of Oct, young and healthy. End of Jan, I tested positive (I assume Omnicron) and this was 3-5 days of what I would call uncomfortable symptoms (like 99.5 fever, sore throat, congestion/cough). Last week (4 months later) I test positive again (I assume BA4/5) even after wearing kn95 indoors when in public, and this time I was much sicker, fever was ~101, lasted 2 days longer and the sore throat hurt way more, congestion made me feel like I was drowning. These variants clearly evade prior immunities well.
Unvaccinated, recovered after a few days. It was milder than normal colds I used to get. Lol please continue taking the safe and effective. I say, "used to get," because in the past 3 years I've only been sick once. It's so funny seeing vaccinated people getting sick multiple times in 1 year.
Similar story. Booster in december. very mildly sick in jan, severely sick in june (high fever for 2 days, bad throat, cough and loss of smell for 5 weeks)
I'm 64, unvaccinated. I also eat little to no processed foods. For my age relatively healthy. Mostly eat carnivore. I got delta August 2021, was pretty much a normal respiratory infection for less than a week. So put me in the category of "I'm not buying it" when people say "my symptoms were bad to mild but it would have been SO MUCH worse if I wasn't vaccinated. That is an assumption not a fact. It's impossible to know. They could have been like me and still had a mild case even with no vaccination. I'm not judging getting vaccinated just saying many people got covid with little to no symptoms so claiming the vaccines made the outcome so much better is faulty logic and reasoning. It's more wishful thinking.
It’s strange that they say the jab stops you from getting seriously ill because all my friends who have been jabbed have been far sicker and have been infected more than the unjabbed who got it once and haven’t been reinfected.
Not really the jab isnt a classic vaccine its a temporary immunity buff.overclocking it so to speak thats all total bs made in an emergency panic .its gonna be a good while before sometgings that's properly effective will be brought out.
@@Geoplanetjane the medical definition for vaccine had to be changed. What is in the jab is experimental gene therapy. Good luck, Jane, if you’ve had a booster and lined up for a second you’re gonna need it - immune imprinting is real.
I have never been vaccinated and I got Covid for the first time about two weeks ago. I had fever, chills, body aches and nausea. My symptoms lasted for 3 days and then I was fine. I’ll be honest I’m not the healthiest person but I think the reason I didn’t suffer from Covid as much as others is because I took Ivermectin and other supplements that Dr. Zelenko advised. May you rest in peace Dr. Zelenko you saved so many lives from Covid. God bless💕
Vitamin C, D3, Zinc, and some sunshine on my skin on a daily basis. Unvaxxed but apparently got the Wu Flu in July 2020; very asymptomatic with a slight dry throat was all I had, fortunately. R.I.P. Dr. Zelenko, you will be missed.

I’m not sure about the vaccine or natural immunity, but here’s what I know from my experience. I’m not vaccinated and I had Covid only once. While my vaccinated friends, family members and other people I know had Covid twice in most cases and some even three times. I’m not an expert but I think it’s safe to say that the vaccine is not that great. I’m 29 years old, healthy with a very minor heart condition that I was born with and I eat good food and I drink moderate ammount of alcohol. I take vitamin D3 + K2 and B though, which is probably a good thing to do for everybody, not just because there’s Covid.

The fact that you were tripled vaccinated and still got sick pretty much tells me everything I need to know about the vaccine. Instead of vaccination I think we need to talk about being healthy. I bet if you were obese and had diabetes, then your outcome may have been different.
I am obese and have type 2 diabetes. I haven’t been vaccinated and, knock on wood, have not caught the virus, (that I know of). I am also very careful to wear a mask if I’m in public and wash or hand sanitize CONSTANTLY. Personally, I believe if everyone would put their masks back on for a while, covid would be eradicated. UPDATE: A couple of days after I posted this, covid got me! It’s bad, and I’m still sick, but I probably still won’t take the vaccine. If it were a one shot thing, maybe, but you gotta take more and more and get sick every time! No thank you!

Symptoms were runny congested nose, slight headache, cough, loss of smell/taste. 24 hours into symptoms took Ivermectin followed by an additional dose 48 hours later. I have also been taking D3, zinc, C and some other supplements daily for most of the pandemic. Tested positive for 3 days and was negative on the 4th day. Overall it caught my attention especially the loss of smell but by the 5th day I was back to normal activity.
You seem like a nice guy, Mike, a smart guy. In terms of the symptomolpgy, you nailed the current Omicron. But you have NO good data to support the efficacy of the boosters, in either infection or severity. There will be NO safety or efficacy testing for the upcoming BA4/5 boosters. Severity correlates better with metabolic health, not the currency of your booster. As far as the "bivalent" booster, it's allegedly targeted to the spike protein variants of BA4, BA5, & and a spike from an extinct virus. Not to the 2 other less-labile proteins on the viral capsid. An actual vax would target multiple antigens for stability, an inactivated virus. This one -- against a single protein on a rapidly mutating single stranded MRNA virus -- is guaranteed to fail.
As you seem to know much on the subject, what is your medical training/background/degree in? Also, I don't think having no safety of efficacy testing for the upcoming BA4/5 boosters is much of a factor, as it is just modifying the existing vaccines, that have been tested/used; after all, the annual flu vaccine is also not tested for efficacy or safety.
I’ve got it right now.. day 3. This sore throat is absolutely horrendous. How did you find relief? How long was it miserable? Hope you’re fully recovered 🤍
@@MJGLORIOSO thank you!!! I wasn’t sure how much Ibuprofen was safe to take but I gather since that’s not for a prolonged period of time it’ll be okay 🤍

Last dose of meds tonight then I brace for the crush. 25-40% get the virus back after antivirals. Sometimes it’s worse than in the beginning
I'm 73 yrs old and have NOT had Covid. Just had my 4th Pfizer shot this wk in July. Got my 3rd shot Oct. 2021. I haven't done any air travel. I visit friends and family locally by ones & twos. No big social events. Thank you for this clear video and info.
Let's have some solid data on the effectiveness of these so-called vaccines. The non-vaccinated seem to have a more robust immune system response and no side effects (myocarditis, stroke, Bells Palsy etc.
Different for me it was like a bad flu had a 104 fever, vomited my food, body aches, headache, sore throat it was hell for 2 days and I have COVID right now
Getting an injection every 4 months is not the answer. No medical advice from any medical association about preventing and recovery using natural therapeutics. ie Garlic, onion, ginger vitamin D zinc are natural worst enemies to cold flus and Covid. I have been mildly ill in the last 40 years though I have recovered always in 3 days of catching any virus, and never bedridden. People need to take care of your own health instead of doctors and governments.
I'm 63 and one week out from testing positive for Covid. The cough and fatigue are annoying. Some days I feel great (I did some yardwork yesterday), but today I'm a slug. The cough got worse last night, possibly from doing yardwork without a mask (I have asthma and allergies), so I used the nebulizer. I talked to my family doctor this morning. She's recommended a cough preparation that's in the form of a "pearl" or gel cap. I'm using my inhalers every 8 hours. Having Covid feels so much like pneumonia. It took six weeks for me to recover from that. Thanks for your updates Dr. Hansen. They're really helpful.
Yes the fatigue comes and goes. Symptoms last 2 weeks for BA.5. Try to suppress the cough, because the more you cough, the more tickly the throat gets. Put on a shawl during the night; this keeps the throat warm and diminishes symptoms. Clear the nose with salty water twice a day. Go out for walks, get fresh air. Don't take pills (unless needed for comorbidities) and keep up good spirits.
I have avoided contracting Covid since the beginning in spite of not wearing masks, washing hands or disinfecting, until now. I didn't test, but from symptoms (similar to yours) I assume I caught the latest variant BA.5 mid-June, so going on a month now. I still have chest congestion and cough and can feel great one day and rundown the next day or next hour and then feel well again. I am not a healthy person by any means, but I have had a lot worse symptoms from regular influenza in the past. I have had no shots nor any treatment other than vitamins and Zinc. Zicam is great for zinc.
You aren’t well until you’re well. Just because you feel better, doesn’t mean you can resume your normal activities. Your experience is typical..don’t honk it is all asthma and allergies. Rest a lot, don’t push yourself, because that doesn’t work with covid recovery. You don’t want to end up with long covid; it is the worst. Good luck and take really good care of yourself. This is not the flu.
I just had this (my first time with Covid and I'm a covid nurse who was around it all the time) horrible. I was miserable for about 7 days, and had horrible fatigue and a bad cough and chest pain for 3 more weeks (still do). I've been vaccinated x2 and boosted x1. Thanks for the info.
Breaking News from 2020 , Notice that no one is talking about Mechanical Ventilators Anymore .....diaphragm is a muscle and once shut down willy nilly is too weak to start up ...This procedure was a death sentence for Millions .
@@RA82828 For some , it was too late, because the med. system refused cheap available therapeutics , to sell the vax and Vent kept them alive mechanically for another wk/month, but, for others , mild sedation and Oxygen would have allowed them recovery over time . The Vent was a Death Sentence !
I'm not medically trained at all but I think I caught your 'version' of Covid a couple of days ago. It came on pretty fast; dizziness, headache, low grade fever, body aches AND sore throat which bothered me more than anything else. It felt like a mild version of flu. I didn't go to the doctor, I didn't test myself...mainly because I didn't feel like doing anything! Day 5, feeling much better.
I had a friend who thought he got moneybox and was freaking out...it was a pimple. Back in the day, we'd call those people hypochondriacs. Now it's the new norm. :)
Exactly what I had. The sore throat and dizziness are what made me test. The dizziness was like the spins when you drink too much which lasted a day, but other than that I would have assumed I had a cold or flu
I have not been vaccinated and I got omicron back in April, the symptoms were mild and after taking Ivermectin, Z ZPAK, and other herbs and supplements, I am fully recovered in 2 weeks. so far I have not been sick again. I don’t plan to get any shots at all, I am counting on my natural antibody and supplements to prevent BA 4 or BA 5.
Thanks for your conscientious updates Doc! Must be tough to get them out when you're fighting to find the energy and trying to get well! Hope you get back to your good self soon!!
I caught this variant 10 days ago. Tested positive at my physicians office. I am not vaccinated and 3 of my dear friends who were vaccinated also came down with the same variant. I managed much better than my vaccinated friends and this is my second time with C19. My symptoms were much less and my recovery time was quicker. Good luck with your vaccines.
This is an ignorant comment. Perhaps you should be grateful that your vaccinated friends haven't died from previous strains because they were vaccinated. We're in this mess because Covid was allowed to mutate due to people refusing to vaccinate themselves and take basic safety precautions. Having Covid twice is not good for you or anyone else. Did you watch the video?
I’ve had the flu several time throughout my life & this is pretty much like it? The last flu I had was in 2017, I was so sick for weeks! I have this variant now& I’ve definitely been sicker, I’m 59 & an Asthmatic 🤦🏻♀️. TG I’m doing ok day 3🙏🏻
Yeah the flu can be nasty. Covid can be as small as a runny nose. But don't underestimate it. If you were sick for only 3 days consider yourself lucky, it could have been much worse. Took me 11 months to feel well then I caught it a second time. The second times wasn't even 10% as bad as the first time for me
I was triple vaxed, one month after receiving my booster I caught covid in February I presume it was the omacron variant. I'm 43 years old I was pretty sick for about 4 days and then on the 5th day I felt much much much better. I wore a mask everywhere I went I don't think the mask helped me at all and I question whether or not the booster shot did anything at all......
The video said the vaccines won’t prevent you from getting the new variants, but it likely still reduced the symptoms if you got over it in less than a week and didn’t have severe illness. “A mask” is super vague. It has to be a good quality mask that fits well and could have also taken it off at some point when you were around an infected person who may not have had any symptoms noticeable to you. So, maybe the mask you wore didn’t help you or maybe it did a little and you would have caught it faster or more often without the mask if you kept exposing yourself to infected people.
I'm 43yo unvaxxed pcr+ tested at 30th March and working at manual labour 4th April it's great my country decided to go on with 5day isolation rule as my fever and nasal symptoms lasted 2days. I always tell my story as unvaxxed not like antivaxxer thought all travel restrictions should be lifted by now as people had freedom to choose or stay without vax, please US let Serbian tennis star play he's not health risk for anyone.
immunity not just antibodies our immunity still sampling the virus and we build natural killer T cell and b cell for BA.5 so take care the whole immune system is good start, from natural killer cell, macrophage, interferon, t cell, b cell etc
Great video! Answered some of my questions but it still amazes me how countries like Canada, USA, Gibraltar, China, Australia and UK have such high vaccination rates and are catching these variants at such an unprecedented speed. In contrast to African countries, like the one I'm in now, which have extremely low vaccination rates and virtually no masking, yet it's so rare to see one with so much as a cough, much less than to even hear of someone having COVID. Such an interesting virus.
personally I think it's mother nature evolving past the vaccines, hence your observation..nature always finds a way..a lot of decent well qualified people have warned us, but hey science knows best! there's a danger one of these variants that come along becomes really deadly, by which time it'll be far too late
As long as the virus continues to mutate, you must continue to receive boosters. BA.5 runs right over any antibodies you may have from vaccines or infections. We should still take vaccines as they will help to boost your T-cell count (the soldiers of this immune system). Why do we have to keep going thru this? Because it wasn't properly handled in the early days. People would rather listen to Trump, who knew nothing, or take Ivermectin (which induces severe liver damage because it is meant for parasites and nit viruses. People still wanted to go on cruises and do what they wanted to do like spoiled children. Now, it will takes YEARS for us to get out of this mess.
Thank you for this video. My husband and I are both recovering from either this variant or the XBB.5 variant. Same symptoms with the addition of excruciating sinus pain and loss of taste and smell. It is so helpful and reassuring to hear that it took you, (a young, fit, doctor) 2 full weeks to recover with lingering symptoms beyond that. I am at 10 days and the sinus stuffiness and exhaustion is lingering. It is really helpful to feel that this is ‘normal’ for recovery. We did all the right things and diligently wear our masks in crowded spaces but were inadvertently exposed by our son in law on Christmas. I love your videos and this came at the right time today to send me a ray of hope of a full recovery.
@@Marksc11 not quite true. It benefits those with low antibody titers, mine were not even comparable to an 80 year old. They are not helping much those 30, 40 y with healthy immune systems, those should indeed wait for bivalent vaccinations.
10 days ago I started with what I thought with a throat infection. 4 days later, I had a fever so saw my Dr. He prescribed Azithromax but said get a covid test. I am unvaxxed, age 70 in reasonable health ( high BP but it is well under control)and obese. My 1st test was negative so took another one 3 days later which was positive. The virus was bearable - apart from the fact my throat felt full of razor blades. I had 3 days of this literal agony. Someone asked would I now be getting the vax, I said no chance. I have taken the recommended prophylactics for over 2 years & I believe they stood me in good stead!

Same. People actually thinking being sick once a year minimum is normal… the same people who think you need to take 3 vaccines in a year to be “protected” from a very mild flu like illness.
Yeah, nah, yeah, I still wear a mask in public and avoid people, when possible. So far I haven't had covid at all and I aim to take it that way. I also take a ton of D3, K2, C, complex B's and exercise as well as stay hydrated. I'm also vaxxed. With all of those measures, I hope I can never get it.
I've yet to become infected with the virus as well. I have had 3 shots of Moderna and hope I never get it. I do mask and limit my risk to exposure so maybe that has helped me.
I’m triple vaxed and got COVID 2 weeks ago from my daughter who went to a concert. I still have the cough and the pressure in my head with headache was awful. Took me 11/2 hours to sleep from coughing
I had it a month ago. 1st day was worse than the worst flu I ever had and the next two days was not as bad as the worst flu I've had. I started the Paxlovid on day 4 and started to recover quite rapidly. Activity and sun were great medicine for me.
Yes. I told my husband I think there is a link between the Sun and recovery. I don’t think it’s the vitamin D part either. I think it’s the rays. Who knows, but each time I went out and sat in the sun I felt immediately better.
Don't you know? They've tested the fabric/cloth they use for the masks. Some are considered only 60% effective. And I believe that was an N95. But they also tested the regular ones. A lot of the brands had problems.
Lovely sounds like they did a little reengineering, just can't believe it's mutated this many times on its own. Seems the flue only mutates once a year or so.
The flu mutates multiple times in a year. They just guess what the dominant strain will be when developing the yearly flu shot. Sorry to burst your qanon bubble or whatever
I had it in mid-june...probably BA5. My wife brought it home after a business trip. She was boosted and had high fever, fatigue, nasea. I tested positive a week later, but I had mild symptoms. No fever, just fatigue and cough. I had a 2nd booster shot 3 weeks prior to infection, so I assume my antibodies were at good levels. I'm worried about what variants will be like in a year or two from NOW.

I came down with COVID in late May/early June. It basically felt like allergies to me, with a cough. The cough was fairly mild, but it took about two weeks to fully clear out of my system.
Thank you, Dr. Hansen. The Exact situation happened to me but only after 5 months of my 3rd Vaccination. I was so ill for 2 weeks and I am still recovering from the BA.5 Infection. I was too, under the impression that COVID was gone, I lower my guard and went to a Baseball game and was inside with thousands of people with no mask. BIG MISTAKE !!! 😐🤒😕
I got COVID after two shots, and staying home unless I absolutely had to go out. Even was having my grocers delivered. I was so sick for two weeks before I could even try to take a bath. By all rights I should have gone to the hospital but I was so fatigued I just didn’t have the energy. To this day I am still on albuterol and Fluticasone inhalers. Still major fatigued. Body still aches all over. I have fallen twice with no warning which caused soft tissue injuries. And the brain fog is so frustrating I can’t even explain it. One other symptom I don’t hear a lot is I lost my voice. I cannot speak without losing my voice. This has been going on since March 3rd 2022! There have been a couple of times I was able to speak normal for 2 days so I know it’s possible but when I start to get excited that maybe this nightmare is over, it goes again and it’s weeks before I can have a lengthy conversation without my voice giving out. Also though if I try to keep speaking, I get pressure in my head and that results into migraine. I don’t know what Covid strain I had but I surely thought I was not going to make it either. Thankfully we are both here to talk about it!
Whether if a person vaccinated or not, don't make any difference. I, my daughter, son and my wife got 2 shots . My sis and my 88 years old mum got no shot, got delta. All of us got covid, BA5. My son and daughter, my wife recovered about a week, my sis took 3 days, my mum about 14 days. I took about 6 days to recover. It is individual body. Vaccination can only do so much.
Vaccines are only good as the immune system. It doesn't 'magically' fight disease. Rather, it works with your immune response to help the immune system fight disease.
DOC why are the vaccinated getting covid - AND REALLY BAD..? The unvaccinated are doing extremely well compared to the vaccinated…Why…I am so confused?
Exactly. I’ve already had covid and I don’t have this. This doc is still taking about antibodies. It’s T cells. This is immunology 101. This has not changed enough to evade those, sorry. I work with this stuff. I’ve not had any omicron variants at all. Work with it all the time

I had COVID last month with the same symptoms. My first symptoms were a sore throat and cough followed by a mild fever and chills. All symptoms, except the cough, cleared up in 4 days. And I am fully vaccinated.
If it was a real vaccine, with either an attenuated virus or completely deactivated virus, you would have never been sick. Spike proteins do not constitute a vaccine.
I'm from New Zealand and I recently had Covid but fortunately my symptoms were relatively mild. I was mostly just tired and didn't eat properly for a few days. My immune system is usually pretty good and I rarely get sick. I've had three shots of the Pfizer vaccine but the last one was in January this year. I have continued to wear face masks at work and in public because our country still mandates the use of them. I suspect that I caught the virus from someone at my workplace as I removed the mask during post work drinks a day before a public holiday. The BA5 variant is becoming the dominant strain in New Zealand but I think that it's most likely that I was infected with the BA2 strain which was the previously dominant one here.
In the Netherlands nobody wears a face mask except for some tourists. We have, and have had, one of the lowest hospitalization and death rates in Europe for the last 6 months. The only competition comes from other countries without Covid-19 measures (and hence without masks), like Denmark. Face masks are a fetish of lefty liberals, a nice unscientific way to signal your virtues, and to intimidate & degrade others.
@jcorb in the moment where I suspect I may have caught it there were about 10 of us in a room and none of us had masks on. Two other people besides me tested positive a few days later. So it's likely someone asymptomatic (or hiding/ignoring symptoms) passed it on.
I got infected with the new variant on July 6th. I've been hospitalized twice for the repository issues. I am still having repository issues due to my asthma. Also still having muscle weakness and body aches. People please be safe this variant is no joke.
I got infected July 8. I have asthma and allergies but, thankfully, I haven't been hospitalized for the respiratory issues. My husband and I are left with sinus congestion and a productive cough, worse in the morning, but we're able to sleep at night without any problems. You're right. It's no joke. Take care.
Doc, you do know the PCR tests were never made for diagnostic testing and it is amplified up to 30+ times to get a result. I'd like to see you do a video on the antidote. I know it so you should for sure.
PCR tests are used for testing for a variety of diseases, including cancer. The amplification is part of the process and means a virus can be detected at very low levels, often before someone has symptoms. Early detection of a virus or cancer is a positive thing!

Ye I see where you are coming from and like you said it is probably the persons immune systems as Like uou probably already know you have people that catch anything and everything and see always at the doctors Then you have others that have many been to doctors a few times in their life and don't catch anything.

They are using a one size fits all solution to a very complex problem.
Don’t trust them.

🎯
corona virus's don't mutate strategically like bacterium do.

Who are the real experts? Do they recommend not vaccinating until the pandemic is over? How many people die or are incapacitated in the meantime?

It doesnt matter if it doesnt help. You need to go get vaccinated to stand in solidarity with black and brown people who are vaxxed and caught covid

@@russellmania5349 We know who you mean: the mad veterinarian. His theories are still pure trash. The variants are coming from people who are infected, whether vaccinated or not. The vaccines don't affect the first factor and they improve the other factors. Everybody who took high school biology should have learned that.

Good luck!

COVID free for 2.4 years, unvaccinated. Caught COVID and became symptomatic June 24th.
I took ivermectine for 3 nights in a row but I'm still testing positive, what dosage did you take?

My daughter has covid right now and has had a HORRIBLE sore throat. She was never vaccinated and only has a mild case, thankfully.
Good for her!
I hope she stands her ground.
Hansen. They're really helpful.
what test did you take????
Use your nebulizer . It helped me last year .
Every highly vaxed country shows high infection&deathrates, countries very low in jab rates do not see this at all. Can anyone add 2 + 2

You can’t question it. Liberals will cancel you for daring to think for yourself.

Think politics, not virus

Dr. Mike, don’t you feel like there’s something wrong with having to constantly get boosters? How many years do we have to do this?
*We* dont. Not had one at all and never will.
I'm wondering if it will be like The Flu?
Especially when we’re supposed to get boosters of the same vaccine for the original Covid. Variant number what, 7? Yet the same old shot.
@@jgriffin282 Exactly! It’s like getting the chicken pox vaccine expecting it to prevent Covid. It’s totally useless now.

There have been a couple of times I was able to speak normal for 2 days so I know it’s possible but when I start to get excited that maybe this nightmare is over, it goes again and it’s weeks before I can have a lengthy conversation without my voice giving out.
@@jackx7382 Again, PCR tests were never made for diagnostic testing. Refer to the inventors interviews on this Kerry Mullis.
@@jackx7382 COVID does exist as is proven made in a lab to harm however, PCR tests can't differentiate between influenza, cold, a cold from 2 years ago, covid, or pineapple juice. Let's be crystal clear about this.
@@tilliegeorgia453 your source has mislead you. What you say is untrue and/or irrelevant to present-day use.
@@tilliegeorgia453 it’s “crystal clear” that you don’t understand anything about PCR testing and are parroting an unreliable source.
Thanks for the update, very informative information as always
I haven't had a shot and I'm not getting any shot. I also haven't gotten sick from Covid. I also don't get the flu.
