Love this format! Very engaging and immersive, but also very chill and laid back. Nice change of pace from the usually more short form, fast pace stuff on UA-cam nowadays
Love Sam's lack of industry/community influence. Unabashed honesty is always refreshing and a perfumer's perspective is very interesting (i.e. ATH).

Prada LHI shat upon by Sam and ATH, both slating it for too simple and too expensive. Omar nails it 10/10.
AHEE is also 10/10.
That's not true. ATH said he loves how Prada L'Homme Intense smells, but thought it was too safe and a bit too expensive for what it is. And he gave it a 7/10 because of those 2 points. Aaron always appreciates perfumery, even if it's not his cup of tea (i.e. Prada LHI).

Those notes for Baraonda are typical shot in the dark guesses from Fragrantica. Gaultieri never reveals the notes for his fragrances.

To me there is a consumer rating
and a perfumer rating.
I could see his conundrum on ranking frags, especially blindly. What's meh to him is what sells to the masses

I love Tony Iommi. I think it's not super versatile though, because it's projecting a lot and is quite boozy, leathery and sweet. It's definitely a night time scent you can even wear to the club. I think it's also very cozy and addictive.

I cant be more agreed to his picks specially I still feel like Monkey special is my special special occasion scent, I always sniff it, but didnt wear it, I leave it to the special day when I will wear it, I have Prada L'hommr and allure extreme as well, and I don't understand why so hyped, theyre just good, not bad at all, overall, he nailed it, more videos like this Omar, that was interesting !

Love the idea as always, interesting how Sam seems to be a kind of "outsider" perfumer because he doesn't really adhere with the traditional style of mainstream perfumery as he respects but doesn't really go with the 60's powders, the 80's powerbombs or the 00's freshies. That means his work must be distinctively unique, will check his vids too

Strange take on prada lhomme intense, it smells like a normal cologne you can just spray on? It’s hella unique not a clue what he’s on about, ATH (Aaron Terrence hughes) on top

Yeah, people don't understand that everyone has different opinions on perfumery. I wouldn't buy most of the designers, but I love niche fragrances. Like you said, I love that he gives honest opinions on fragrances. Invite Aaron more, please!

can you feature top 10 men perfume in 2005? i dont know the name of that perfume im looking but it look like Jean Paul Gaultier in a can but cant find it in so it might be different.
I absolutely HATE how Tony Iommi smells. I was very excited to try it out and once I got it…I put it in the way back corner of my closet. It smells very off-putting to me, I will never wear it.
I agree with Sam on the Chanel, I had to sell my bottle after 1 spray...it reminded me of an old car full of musty leather, shag carpet and a mix of those xmas tree air fresheners. I do love the normal Allure Homme Sport tho.
People in the comments almost convinced me Sam was gonna just blabber his way through the video but I think y’all just salty he didn’t like the Chanel
No it's because he has a very basic take on perfumery in that he has to personally like the elements. I like Mango, I'll give an extra point. Its about respecting good perfumery aswell as personal preference

Agreed on all of these ratings. I love him bashing the community favourites. Prada L’homme intense and AHS extreme are dumpster fire fragrances. I wouldn’t pick them up if they were giving them out for free.

Love the blind tests. I've smelled so many fragrances that reviewers have hyped, but then I get my nose on them, and I'm like... "Meh." Case in point, the Chanel fragrance. I don't get it.

If you listened to the video perfumers don't seem to smell much outside of their own work

When you watch someone like this who a “perfumer” you want to see a little more knowledge being shared rather than vague consumer-esque comments.
I mean you should check out his channel. He has his own indie fragrance brand

I enjoy the format but the guest says “like” way too much along with other filler words. It really detracts from the elevated status you’ve given him. I appreciate his insights but very annoying to hear for extended amount of time.
