I feel like the 3/4 seasons criteria can really hurt darker fragrances. I think that just like music or art, limited audience or lack of versatility shouldnt be able to take away a 10/10, especially if its a masterpiece fragrance

THANK YOU for bringing some attention to Noir Anthracite. I remember visiting a fragrance shop, and the guy who ran it had Anthracite in his own personal collection. He let me try a whiff, and the moment I did, I was blown away by how profoundly well done it is as an herbal, aromatic fragrance.

DHI is easily a 11/10 for me. I'd wear it in any season tbh (yes even summer). I just love the fragrance so much.

i prefer TF Noir to Noir Extreme for example but i never tried tha Anthracite flanker. Also Acqua di Parma colonia line is neat ; my prefered one is the club (green bottle) one. I never see those featured on the channel, but they are very classic smelling fragrances, probably more oriented to mature guys.

I watch that video bc no one talk about Kouros, and I love it. I think its challanging when you first feel, but I'm used to it and really love it!!! My clubbing fragrance.
Anteus and Kouros present glorious perfumery, will always repeat that. Agree 100%.
Allure Eau Extreme is blended beautifully, I gifted the fragrance to my Dad. I pic lots of Coumarin, the way it is smoothed out is brilliant.

I kinda agree too but you gotta dress real up to wear it.
is four seasons really a good criterion to begin with. For most simply cold weather and warmer weather is easier to push the boundaries on versatility. Also nowt wrong with wearing freshies in winter for example, as long you look great, smell fantastic that meets my needs.
BTW great ongoing luv for Prada LHI, my wife is partial to LR Black (hint, hint)
Prada Lhomme Intense is 15 out of 10.

Dior Homme Original stand the test of time so well, that i put it above a lot of today frags
what’s going on a with PDM. The new packaging of Layton 4.2 oz is $189 on fragrancenet but the older packaging is $239. Is PDM making their fragrances cheaper or was there another reformulation.

Viktor and Rolph SpiceBomb Extreme is a 10/10, as are Dior Sauvage Elixir, Mancera Intense Cedrat Boise, Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo and Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum.
Love your videos Omar, you're so good at describing and explaining things. Subjectively, I do not really like any of the fragrances on this list. I hate Kouros and Antaeus, and some of these are 70yr old grandpa vibes lol

Have you reviewed Mizensir perfect oud before? As well as Greenley Parfums de Marly? If not could you please consider doing so I’ve been thinking about purchasing those. If you have, what could also be some similar fragrances?
Not Perfect Oud, but I reviewed Greenley on our PDM buying guide 😊 an ‘affordable alternative’ to Greenley could actually be D&G Light Blue Eau Intense, the women’s version!

Hey Omar, thank so much for your video. I have a question, I own bdc edp, prada lhomme OG, but both don't last very much on me, I thought I was going nose blind but heck no, what do you recommend I get that can last at least 8hrs for work and I can wear year round.
PS: someone recommended ADG parfum (I heard it does last as long either) and mancera cederat Boise the OG and the intense (though I think the intense won't be ideal for work).
Please help with you recommendations. Thanks a lot

Do you think the current batches of bleu de chanel EDT are worth it??? What's your opinion on it!!!!
I've recently bought an edt 150 ml bottle for 140$ expecting the great old BDC I remember but I was disappointed immensely... The performance is trash compared to the batches made couple years ago and even the smell is a lot worse!!! Wasted my 140 bucks.
(Again.. 🤓) The first time I smelled the original (1988-1993) Fahrenheit formulation it was the best thing I ever smelled by far and still one of the most intoxicating openings ever created. 😮
PS: Since I dropped my vintage bottle🤦🤷, I hope someone else will send around some samples to reviewers. 😌

IMO Kouros is the best pest repeller scent ! I agree with TF noir Anthracite. My best TF is Noir De Noir and Noir Extreme Parfum. Prada Luna Rossa Black is far better than L' Homme Intense

Time duration isn't the be all, end all criteria for me. You may have to give up something special in the search of forcing longevity. Sometimes less is more and more is just too much. If it smells good and you understand it wont last forever, it can still be a 10/10

The way I started, I went to the stores and smelt them myself. Trust me, use your own judgment. Don't get me wrong I got a good bit from taking Omar word for it he is an honest man
They are still making Prada L'homme Intense, it's not discontinued. I got mine 2 weeks ago and it is like 5 months old batch.
How is it's longevity and projection? What do you feel about it's scent profile? Iam planning to buy it .
@@PrakashMagar-yh8pz longevity is about 8-10 hours, i'm not sure but you'll get enough of it and the projection is great, people will feel your fragrance in the air very good! the scent profile is so good, i liked it a lot because i own other iris scents like dior homme intense, givenchy gentleman reserve privee and it also has some leather, i own ombre leather from TF, for me it was a great blind buy
How is it now ? Still as good as before, are you enjoying it ?
@@Truedemocrat it's good, it projects for like 1-2 hours and longevity is like 8-10 hours (until i took a shower), lasts throughout a day of uni (in my case), but right now its too hot for it, i got 3 fragrances on me for the warmer weather

The closest thing I can think of is OG ombre leather, it is a tough profile to think of for 'younger' guys, the idea of the scent family is to go out of your comfort zone anyway 😉

I’m a teenager looking for a winter fragrance that’s not too cloying the ones I have in mode are le male elixer, stronger with you edt, guerlain lhomme ideal edp, and maybe instant crush but I heard it’s kinda feminine. What would y’all recommend
Le Male Elixir.
It can depend on your style and age, but dior homme intense is a great iris, smooth sent that gets labeled as a “date night” scent that, imo, can be a daytime scent that will stand out and be sexy, while not too loud.
Luna Rossa black if you're lookin for something somewhat unique that will still grab poditive attention

I tried it. Very soapy. Reminded me of the smell of my grandfathers shaving foam back in the 90s. Nice but nothing special. I opted for Kilian’s straight to heaven. Best fragrance in my collection followed by initios paragon
I like your videos but have to give my own opinion on some questionable things Omar.
TF noir - antracite is definetly discontinued. I would put there as 10/10 beau de jour.
Dior homme original also does not exist anymore. I would put fahrenheit parfum as 10/10. Also sauvage elixir 10/10
Armani does not have one fragrance 10/10 imo
JPG - le parfum is a flanker similar to outdated edt. I would put le male elixir as 10/10. Its a fantastic fragrance which is a big improvement over whole boring le male line, its less sweeter and cloying and i would say blended ti perfection.
Initio - paragon. I would never give 10/10. Its leaning way feminine imo. Actually none of initio parfums is 10/10 if you ask me. They very prices for what they offer. Best one is oud for greatness but newest batches does not perform that good. Majority of the fragrances from initio house leans very very feminine. Oud for happiness, atomic rose, musk therapy, rehab, absolute aphrodisiac, paragon, psychodelique love, side effect

i would go for DIOR HOMME PARFUM though the original also worthy .parfum is longer lasting and richer
Acqua di gio Profumo being cancelled is a crime against humanity.
Tell me about it. I got a back up bottle (non magnetic cap version) to complement my full 125ml bottle. Performance isn't the same but it is still acceptable at about 7hours or so. I've tried the new Parfum but I'm not convinced.

Spot on about Eau Sauvage Parfum, 1-2 sprays max... I went with 5 one day fuck me had to go wash it off
The original Eau Sauavage was my first fragrance along with Polo Blue gifts when I was 16

Omar, I back every one of your choices. I own quite a few of them. Kouros is definitely a 10 out of 10 but it takes guts to wear it out in a busy setting. Fragrance enthusiasts totally get it.

for the summer don't go with stronger with you, go for acqua di gio profondo, bvulgari aqua, jean paul gaultier le beau le parfum or dolce gabbana light blue eau intense, stronger with you is very sweet and would probably not do very well in the summer. @@abd78638

Terre d'hermes is dated try something more smooth and refined like edition blanche
they both have bad longevity dont worry about it just get a travel sprayer and spray all day to your desire

Toy boy doesn't pair well with my skin. The dry down is ok but for the first hour, it's off-putting. This list could have been 10 out of 10 manly old school fragrances 😅

No I wouldn't say so but it sure is probably best worn during cooler weather. I've worn it to work and on nights out. Control the sprays and you will be ok.

as a 63 year old myself and i refuse to wear perfumes that smell OLD, not even me who are in my 60s like the " old smell" of anateus or eau sauvage parfum,guerlain vetiver etc old perfumes smell like old hotels and 200 year old wardrobes, the worst type of fragances are the ones that smell like old people and this is coming from an old black foke, there so much options and better modern things to choose from these days compared to what we had back in the 70s, 80s and 90s, i feel bad for all these weird complex young fragance snobs acting like if they like vintage perfumes, most of them were awful and thats why must of my generation did not wear perfumes, btw my signature fragance is PDM carlisle.
Not sure what it is but allure extreme last like 2 hours on my skin
They drydown goes into a tonka that is very similar to versace eros tonka. Which i dont care for myself.

Kouros, to me, smells like a urinal cake. I may be in the minority here, but I would never wear it outside my home. I would’ve gone with the old formulation of La Nuit for YSL, personally.
