If wins mattered so much to Osborne he wouldn't have gone for two. He suspended LP. And then he helped him up. The "win-at-any-cost" slur against TO is baloney, period. No coach cared more for his players.

Lawrence Phillips was a pariah on college football. During his junior season he was found guilty of assault & attempted murder by pulling his "girlfriend " down a flight of stairs by her hair. And what did the great tom osborne do? Quote: " The best place for this young man is on the football field." Really!!?? At that moment, i lost all respect for osborne & nebraska football. All osborne was interested in was winning a national championship. I could care less if the great nu nevrrs wins another game.

Ut oh. Who the F do you think can be looked at as the first significant leader at NU that helped cultivate the culture below? I mean in the end, by letting Phillips back on the team, what was Osborne's message to every player that considered Neb then and now. Right. Women don't matter. I wonder how his children and grandchildren truly feel about him.
      From 4 days ago.
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Michigan on behalf of students at Nebraska and Michigan State, alleges Nebraska “fostered a culture in which female victims are discouraged from reporting sexual assaults, sexual harassments, stalking and other forms of gender discrimination when those acts are perpetrated by male student-athletes in order to protect UNL, the male athletics programs, male student-athletes and the NCAA, at the expense of female victims.”

@@traviskrause8509 So Osborne suspended Phillips for 6 games on allegations alone. Really? You believe that? No, you don't for a fucking moment. Frost was there. The foundation for abuse toward women began or wasn't stopped at that point.
You can claim to know how his family really feels about Osborne's decision regarding Phillips? UNBELIEVABLE! No, really, it's total horseshit for you to purport to know how his family truly feels.
Do me a favor, ask 5 women about your last stern response. Ask them if you appear to believe that the lawsuit are allegations based on hate vs believing that the women's claims could have any merit at all.

Osborne did that child a disservice when he didnt kick him off the team, just because he doesnt play football doesnt mean you cant have an impact on his life. And afterward tom Osborne has the audacity to tell this kid itd be better if he went to the NFL, he pretty much handed him the tools for his demise, and for what? A national championship? His legacy? Is that more important than a life?
