Turbinaria! Old school plating and gives a tank that natural look when it gets mature. Looks great under daylight.

    Hi Ania 👋🏻
Ania got me hooked on lepto, I’ve got six varieties. I regularly knock small pieces off with metal tongs and glue them to bare patches that need filling.
I’m cyphastrea obsessed too but am still searching for a branching variety in Australia.

Leptoseris has always been my favorite encrusting coral, it's so incredibly unique in growth form and the texture reminds me of mini sand dunes. It's one of the best sculpture encrusters too! I have a colony of pink Lepto growing on an antique wine bottle in my aquarium.

My favorite underrated coral is Cladiella, I have a really cool form that has dark polyps with a light base. When I saw the mother colony get disturbed, all the polyps started to pulse like a wave. They called it the blushing coral and I was hooked on it! It's just a leather coral, but I think it's pretty unique
Nice to see more of Jack! the quality wasn't the best in the studio, but I know you guys will get it better in time!
It would be nice to see Jack as a guest on an episode of reef therapy in the future!!! 🤔😁❤️

Great video - love the multiple perspectives in one longer vid.
For beginner / budget friendly corals I am a huge fan of chalice corals. So many different color morphs and grafted versions to collect.
Hope you all make this a running series of mid and high range corals. Beginner friendly, intermediate and advanced. That’s nine videos…
And an expansion video series into favorite zoas, euphyllia, Millie, acros, etc.

2:00 That’s actually Lobactis scutaria, not Fungia fungites. True Fungia are actually pretty uncommon in the hobby.
12:56 The coral shown is a colonial Cycloseris (C. wellsi, explanulata, mokai), not Leptoseris.

A+++ to Ania for mentioning gorgonians. Some of the photosynthic ones are touchy, but most are easy to keep and have beautiful growth forms.
Sad that Than Thien likes corals for their "day-glo colors."
May I humbly suggest the blue coral, Heliopora coerulea, which despite appearances is technically a soft coral? A beautiful dark brown, with large white polyps. You can read its moods -- if it's unhappy it will skin over. A fast grower, its shape very much depends on the water flow.

I have the branching cyphastrea but it's red on red. I also have a leptoseris but I don't know... . I also have the two standard blastomussas. I don't really know what to do with the last 3 . My favorites from video are the turbinaria :O and the variants of the branching cyphastrea that are mire colorful than mine.
And I've never ever heard about those snake polyps Oo .
