You probably know that soft-spoken, calm, polite, elegant, classy, and refined are traits that Japanese people highly value, whether in architecture, clothing, cuisine, design, or social interaction. Japan is not meant for everyone, but for those who can instinctively sense the comfort in the air will be a good match with Japan.

As a German after my first visit to Japan I liked it a lot more than Germany. Now after 8 visits I've got a better picture and see a lot of good and bad things in both countries. It's really about what you value in life. I'll move there next year and will see what life has in store for me there.

You remind me of myself when I was your age: idealistic, being self-conscious, meditating, valuing happiness, not focusing only on our job career, emphasis on organic foods and the environment. I have held on to all these values and at age 73 possess some wisdom in achieving some happiness, etc. You are doing a great job with your channel and I hope to help you achieve your goal of building community, supporting you and your subscribers.
Thank you for the beautiful video. First and foremost, as a Japanese person, I would like to congratulate you on embarking on this significant journey in Japan. You mentioned cultural differences in your video. While Germans and Japanese are often said to share traits like discipline and rigidity, I believe there are significant differences, particularly in the culture of discussion and debate. Of course, as you mentioned, there are both positive and negative aspects to these cultural differences. Embracing and incorporating these differences might be challenging, but I sincerely hope that your dreams come true.

And then the next two years waiting for Covid to end so that I could enter the country. When I had finally reached Japan and settled in, I was at first happy because I achieved what I most desired. However, after a couple weeks my feelings started to change. I don’t fully understand why but I did not feel the same as I did when I first came to Japan. Imagine having an army at your service because you are the best potter in the whole world, lol. It’s incredible and admirable that Japan sees the high value of the arts in such a way. So I was in this app where you can have an anonymous Japanese pen pal. And I found so many of the messages by Japanese people who complained about having a bad day, or stretch of life, usually always finished by stating, “but I’ll do my best tomorrow”, or, “I promise to do my best tomorrow”, despite their challenges. And this is not something very many westerners do. Usually a complaint by a westerner is just a complaint of discontent. Hi! I think your room and the park where you were chilling are really peaceful. Now, I'm going to choose university in my country. I'm struggling with living in my country because of atmosphere here. After I watched your video, I decided to explore my country and culture more to make my life happier. Thank you for sharing your life in Japan and It's actually amazing!
とてもしっかりした方ですね。
ドイツの方なのにEnglishが堪能で凄いなぁと思いました。
ヨーロッパの若い世代は大体話せます。文法も語彙も似てるので。
What an amazing place to live, congratulations! wish you have a wonderful life in japan and peace be upon you
Hi Nini😊 I discovered your channel today and I really like everything about it. My dream is to live in Japan and meet mindful people like you. One way, for me to experience mindfulness, is tea, japanese tea. Share your experience with tea you love. Greetings from Estonia.
I have been there twice. Very pleasant country with very kind people. I have been to Germany 3 times as well. My father was from Flensburg.
Natural pure beauty. My god. Watched briefly and obviously could not fail to notice.
Hmm no…she is boring and childish.
Living in Kyoto is a dream of mine. Speaking of traveling around Japan, I recommend Itoshima just next to Fukuoka city for stunning ocean and really amazing seafoods. There is also a great uni and you will find many adorable students.
You seem to have a beautiful soul and a person really close to nature. I would love one day to have discussions with you one day if i have the chance to meet you when i come live in Japan in September. It would be really cool and i dont know that much people like me. Thanks for this video ! I'm grateful for this gift 🙏
