The wheel rotation isn't broken though? I disable them when docking in case I boop them

There is a stock docking port alignment view. The Circle with the bottom left with the 3 wedges in it, near the stage indicator, is docking mode. It's actually pretty easy to use.

Can you do a mission where like two stations are going to collide and you need to send an escape system to the kerbals and save them moments before the collision?
you can't really collide space stations in ksp, the tickspeed is simply too high for that, they would just go through eachother, but they idea is nice

@@wietsepruijmpie1922 ships ony phase through at 5x speed or above, it's possible but really really hard

@@RhelrahneTheIdiot they game calculates physics in frames, so it would phase through when you use a reverse orbit
It would be really cool to see part of the space station to explode and spin, only for some kerbals in an SSTO to find out that it is going in a suborbital trajectory and that they are forced to dock to save it and the kerbals from a fiery death. Basically an interstellar type rescue.

Hey, Matt Lowne, Can you do a tutorial on any things that are advanced? Like a helicopter? Some of the ones out there are helpful but a little lacking.

I've used KIS struts to stabilize kraken-bait stations. You could do another station expansion mission to lock some of those long wobbly sections together.

you can put "control from here" on the docking port, then you can do you method with any craft with a docking port anywhere.

Idea: Put a refueling station in solar orbit. I mean WAAAAAY out there, then use it to refuel from a long mission. I'd like to see those maneuvers to get to the gas station, lol!

i suppose a space station with USI Kolonization that has one of those science labs, so you can cut down on space and reserve weight for life support

Hey Matt I have just thought of a good video idea...you should do a video making the the space station put it in orbit, and build the SSTO from the ksp 2 trailer and dock the SSTO to it for a crew supply mission

This is a positive message for the UA-cam algorithm.
I hope KSP2 is able to solve some of these kraken issues, I've had no end of physics glitches and kraken attacks in my save.
I mean heck, if they could simple add a feature to the build options, to make completed vehicles count as a single part instead of 300+, that'd at least fix the fps issues (not to mention simplifying fuel management). I think some of my kraken issues, were simply caused by calculation overloads, more than actual glitches.
I've had to decomission 2 fuel tenders, because they developed some kind of drag on 1 side, making them spin out of control when the impulse engines are on in space.
Not that it's overly practical to refuel stations and ships at 1fps, but refueling stations add a lot more margine for error with transfer windows and orbital manuvers.
Construction mode randomly exploded my Laythe lander yesterday. If it happens to the best, I don't feel so bad about it! ;-)
idk if you know this but you can right click strut mounting points and manualy disconnect them

What would've been better was if you had pointed the docking extension cockpit towards the incoming vessels so that the person in the docking arm cockpit can help the vessel dock/line up with the docking port.
Extra fuel is never a problem.

The symmetry looks pretty but if you have only one gravity ring things would be a whole lot easier, there wouldn't be a "too wide" problem as there's nothing to fit in between.
Try to make a single attachment for all fuel farm 2 on top 2 on bottom it will look more clean and free up

fun fact: space is devoid of temperature as there is nothing that can carry that temperature. Light however, can heat you up so anywhere you can se a star is heated up
