Billy Preston really saved the day. He not only added so much musically but he inspired the others to get on board. As far as smoking cigs, most people start because they think it's "cool". then you are hooked on nicotine which is a very addictive drug.
I feel like Billy’s contribution (besides the music) was just his vibe. He’s a remainder of just the pure love of the music outside of all the deadlines, obligations and semantics. In every scene he’s in, he’s just happy to be there and smiling because he loves the music.
Yes, you actually have nicotine receptors built into your brain. As a former smoker, let me tell you that nicotine is one of the most addictive substances out there. According to The University of California at San Francisco, "Nicotine has been proven to be as addictive as cocaine and heroin and may even be more addictive."
@NICKTREACTS better late than never. I was hoping you'd react to the new song "Now and Then" would like your thoughts on that. Keep up the good work. 👍
I picked that up to, the amount of smoking that went on back then was obscene. I don't get why you'd even start in the first place. I've got a Feelings is one of my favs too. Peter Jackson needs to release the concert only without any interruptions from the street or police. Check out U2's rooftop concert in New York 1979... surely a copy of what the Beatles did but they got shut down also.
John was beginning John and Yoko, George was not excited. Those two were not as committed as before. John was John Lennon, he wanted quality work and was a realist. George was highly under representitive. Paul wanted all this. George, not at all, John just going along. After watching Get Back, I thought, they should have brought in Billy Preston, Eric Clapton and brought, While My Guitar Gentley Werps into the mix and finish Something. That would have reinvigorated George, which would have pushed John to a deeper commitment. Wit Billy and Etic thru eoukd have accomplished the live come back Paul wanted. And rejuvenated the Beatles as a revolving/evolving band

I love the Beatles, I had never seen this particular video Thank you, great job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Everybody smoked then. No warning. They thought it was "hip" Love from London Jan x
Smoking is an addiction and nicotine withdrawal is not fun.
You can't emphasize this enough: Nicotin can make you an addict with the first cigarette. So don't start, it's not cool.
Hey thanks for coming back to this ♥️
🙏🏾
It is a product with over 100 chemicals designed to attach to receptors in the brain that make addiction almost certain

They All know it’s the End .
There were a lot of ridiculous technical problems and the Beatles had a lot of time to f around
