Great review! This is an awesome car! Being an Acura, I think it should have ventilated seats, moonroof, rear ac vents, heated rear seats, and a center armrest at this price point and to further separate it from the Civic Type R. SH-AWD would be nice too :)
See, you and I are on the same wavelength! If they offered all of that MINUS SH-AWD, then I'd think it would be worth it weight in gold and really live up to what Acura says Type S stands for
Agreed. What you stated is the main reason why I didnt swap out my 21 TLX A-Spec for a 24 ITS when the lease came up on the former. (SH-AWD would have been a preference BUT not a deal breaker for me.)
While I don’t necessarily disagree with you guys, how much more expensive do you guys want to be? With the extras you stated (keep in mind I don’t disagree) the only other thing I wished they had was an option was a seat choice. Maybe an option for the NSX seat and the CTR seats woulda been dope.
Hey man, thanks so much!! I can see why it's a dream car for you, it's something special !! Be sure to subscribe, i have more content coming with this one!! 🔥 💪🏾
Great review. I like that you didn't blur out the speed in Mexico! I think I would get the Type R over this simple for the future resale. To my eyes, less the rear wing, I think the Honda looks better with the true wide body. And those seats!
Haha!! When in Mexico!! And ya know, i never factored in resale value. Good point! It's something about the Type S styling for me though that'll make me choose it everytime!
Great review. With respect to the competition when I was shopping, while it seems like the S3 and the Mercedes and the BMW 2 are competition, it really really turned out not to be the case. The Acura comes fully loaded with no optional add-ons required. As soon as you start loading up the German cars with even close to comparable features, they become a good $10,000 more expensive and so they step out of the competitive price range.
@altoriahorne5006 the Acura is stunning, I don't know if I'd compare the G70 to the ITS just based on sheer performance, outside of a straight line, but TLX Type S, for certain. The TLX just looks soooo much better I think.
@@DownshiftPass well as all of those cars would be about $10,000 more than the type S, at least in Canada, I don’t personally think they’re worth the price premium. Don’t get me wrong, I love all three of those German cars. The only thing that would scare me is their reliability. Since I buy cars and don’t lease them it’s a concern for me. But if you’re going to lease them and I guess that’s not a concern. If I had the extra $10,000 and I was leasing them, those cars would be back in the hunt, but since I don’t, I would pick the type s.
@brianjurko9085 reliability seems to win each time!! I'd personally pay the price premium and lease the Germans tbh, BUT im with you, if leasing isn't an option, Type S it is! I just hate the fact it comes with no sunroof. I understand why, but then again, I don't. Lol.
The price is kinda crazy, but you can find these at MSRP vs a Type R, which would end up costing more! Thanks for showing the ELS audio, and the way it sounds in Sport+ is NUTS for a 4 banger engine!! Awwweesome review per normal! You need Topher level subscribers!! Keep it up man!
When I went to an Acura dealer, they would not let me test drive unless I was a serious buyer. They don’t want people joyriding Or damaging the interior with fingerprints or taking things out. In my humble opinion and experience, don’t take it personally.
I have owned both. I briefly had an fl5 before it was crashed into and totaled. I have a white Type S now. On the street they are extremely close but the Type R is a more fun drive if you can deal with the firm ride and the road noise.
I would definitely agree, or if you know you'll never track it, I think the Type S is the better buy as well. More stylish too, but that's completely subjective.

Ahhhh, very good point! Do you think those cars are worth that price premium over the Type S though?
Let's not overlook the Genesis G70 3.3T. Which has beat the Acura TLX Type S and Integra Type S. But the Acura is a gorgeous vehicle

I got a black one for 49,400 plus tax title DMV, Take your time shopping and never get 4 squared
Nice!! New or pre-owned ?!
How do you get these cars to drive? My local dealer won't even let me sit in one. I guess I'm just a deplorable and my money is worthless.
Awe, don't say that!! Make sure you're subscribed and I'll create a video all about it!
That sounds like a car salesman answer.
😂😂😂! I wouldn't disagree with that!

In driving dynamics, the type r is so much better.

I would have to agree, it's a bit edgier for sure!
@@DownshiftPass I prefer the more focused racecar feel but if you’re not driving at 10/10ths I would say the type S is a better buy
