The thing about joel that I love is that you never know if he’s gonna sing a song, confess his undying love for Lizzie or yell random words amidst a long speech in a high pitched voice. His videos are a rollercoaster and I’m here for the long ride😂

I'm genuinely impressed by how much detail Joel is able to put into these builds, I could never think of stuff like using lightning rods as a pillar or glowing signs for neon decorations also Joel's place is going to fit in perfectly next to Impulse's cyberpunk city
This may be the first time that glowing signs glitching when you move looks COOL rather than annoying!! They look like bright flashing neon ads, scrolling through all the sales!!

I'm amazed at how incredible the "funky" bits look. For such a small part of the build, a couple of random redstone components really tie things together.
I'm always excited when Joel updates - he's so,, gosh!! His energy is infectious. As much as I love hermitcrafts and its many hermits, I often struggle to keep up because my mind ends up wandering (its nice tho for relaxing) But this!! I am engaged, I can focus!! I love being able to absorb the builds like this. I'm so glad he's a hermit.
In the model kit crafting world greeblies are what we call little decorative elements that add visual interest and break up flat walls. Maybe that is what you could call the details you put on the blank walls. Great video, as always!
I love Joels videos. They always give me a good laugh. Especially when he was enchanting his sword and went “BANE OF ARTHOP-“ and it just cut out i was laughing so hard😂 also when he was decorating the interior and he went “and guess what?! I think the colours of the base look incredible and exotic! I also love the use of acacia, as it isn't the most popular wood out there. I've also never really seen that tactic with the glow ink signs! Looks gorgeous and exactly like the theme you're going for!

Grian use to be the hermit i would watch the most, but Joel is just, the way he shows how he builds and is just, its just so good.
I am loving the buildings you are creating! I've never seen a build style like this, and it's mind blowing how well it's all working together! There are so many creative elements that add so much life and detail. It's also been so fun to watch your interactions with the other hermits. All the shenanigans have been amazing!

The doorbell is just a doorbell, we helped The Doorbell Installer pick the blocks and tune on stream 8J there are a few more dotted around the hermits as well - i think tango is your closest neighbor with one as well

Among lego builders, we refer to the weird lil detail bits at "greebling". I'd say that word applies to your builds here too lol
Same for artists! Adding texture in a semi random way (like the Borg cubes from Star Trek) to add visual interest!!

I think the colours of the base look incredible and exotic! I also love the use of acacia, as it isn't the most popular wood out there. I've also never really seen that tactic with the glow ink signs! Looks gorgeous and exactly like the theme you're going for!
