She even told her later try not to judge him so harshly. He loved her but knew being near her could put her in danger. Oh they could’ve FaceTimed - but he just never did - a lot of drama when she was older could’ve been avoided if they maintained a relationship over the phone or FaceTime. But at the same a FaceTime relationship with your child is nothing compared to being able to see and hug your kid in person. So I’m guessing he found it easier to manage his emotions, to just not contact her at all, because he said “loving her brings her closer to death”.
