Truly underrated! 12)Moodring - Stargazer(2022) - For the fans of Deftones. 13)Holding Absence - Self-Titled(2019) - Amazing atmospheric post-hardcore/alt with some shoegaze elements, could remind you of the Thornhill's Dark Pool album by it's atmosphere a little, but a different genre and more emotionally melodic, non-prog if you'd compare it. I also like the second album, but it's more soft and it's more on Alternative Rock side i'd say, while the first album is a beautiful drive of atmosphere and emotions with wonderful vocals and this is the most favorite album of mine currently, was eaten by atmosphere, almost same effect was in Acres - Lonely World album. You'll "fly away" 100%. 14)Imminence - Heaven in Hiding(2021) - Post-Hardcore with some Metalcore elements. They also have album "Turn the light on". 15)Kingdom of Giants - Passenger(2020) - Synthwave Post-Hardcore/Metalcore. 16)Phinehas - The Fire Itself(2021) - Amazing Classic Modern Metalcore.

Ima skip "If I Were You", "Fit for a King" and such for now because there are too many recommendations already :) I'm not giving any sort of accurate rate for some *special* albums about Guitar Work and Instrumentals in general because it's better be heard without any knowledge of what some of them are. Just remember this list when you're out of some albums and if you and listeners are really interested in some of this stuff. I'm pretty sure you will like most of these albums. Moreover each of these albums hit differently and this is why i like modern heavy music in general, it has so much place to grow now, especially the prog and Djent, take last Northlane as example.
Yeah, this song was the first they’ve dropped since The Way It Ends came out so they’re trying to mix aspects from previous works into one sound and you can definitely tell if you’re more familiar with their catalog. I feel like this track is just like a “hey guys we’re back” and probably will be the final song of the album, so I’d imagine there’s more technical stuff in the works atm.

This song honestly sounds a bit more like their EP I Let The Devil in with the production of The Way it Ends. At least that's kind of how it sounds to me, as well as quite a bit of atmosphere like was used on The Place I Feel Safest, which is a godlike album so if that's the vibe they're going for with the next album i'm all in.

My favorite albums of all time are Currents - The Way It Ends and Lorna Shore - Immortal I didn't like deathcore before Lorna shore, think you need to give immortal album/song a try. Quite a bit different than Will Ramos led Lorna. Both of these albums have the most replayability to me. Hope that it can pull you in to deathcore! Looking forward to future reacts 👍🏼

..aye, ye all react to somewhat of already well known bands in metal comunitty..I defo think you should give a listen to a Croatian metalcore band Pale Origins..lads deserve a bit of love..vocals are amazing, djent is fat and the force is strong within them..Deathbreather or Sinners march are a go to songs to start it off with..had their album on repeat since I discovered them, right up there with Monuments.. 🤘😎

So…most people think their old stuff is better than the way it ends, and I think those are the same people that think this single is better than anything from that album BECAAAUUSE…I feel exactly the same as you about this song. It’s good, but it didn’t completely blow me away. I absolutely LOVE the last album though and actually prefer it to their older stuff. So I have a feeling you may be in the same boat if you go further into their back catalogue. 😅
I'll be real. This reminds me a lot of silent planet. HOWEVER, that is not a bad thing. It's still got a few sounds from the last album, but there is definitely a shift. Now that shadow of intent are done with their latest album, Chris should be working on a bunch of new stuff as he plays with entirely different guitars for the 2 bands. I'm super excited for new currents 🤟
My only issue with this track is the production. Drums sound flat and that guitar tone is just ear fatiguing. The rumbly low end is also not doing anything for me. I still think the song is good in terms of writing, structure and lyrics. Stoked for more currents reactions though! They are definitely one of my favorites even though this track didn't really land with me
