- In this video, we look at chemical tests to distinguish between aldehydes and ketones. These include the Tollen's (silver mirror) test, Fehling's reagent and Benedict's reagent. We look at why these reactions produce a positive result for aldehydes but a negative result for ketones.
I want to thank you for all your videos. I do combined science and I got a 66 in my November mocks; then I came across your channel and I was 1 mark away from a 98 (with the highest grade boundaries) in my most recent mock. I will be aiming for at least a 98 in my exams and that is all because of your videos. I never used to like science, in fact it was my least favourite subject but now it is my favorite and I am looking forward to do biology and chemistry at A Level.
Sir, could you make a video about Binary Fission and DNA replication in Prokaryotic cells?
Great channel
Hey sir for AQA do we have to know the tests for aldehydes and ketones (tollents reagent and fehlings solution) for AS chemistry as we’ve done that when doing the oxidation of alcohols
Do transition metals, ligands etc soon please.
When will you be finishing the a level biology videos??
Nothing to do with this vid, but thank u so much for helping me get a grade 9-9 for combined science in my mocks!
please could you do a level physics
Thank you so much
Can you please cover the caie igcse science syllabus , your videos are so good
Thank you very much
Thank you
What was that music at the start?
can you do module 6 for a level biology please. Thanks
