    Ganz lieben Dank für dieses Video. Hat mir sehr geholfen. Keine Ahnung ob ich es ohne das Video hinbekommen hätte. Vermutlich ja aber so ging es sehr viel schneller 👍 Grüße aus Deutschland.

    Another great video Michael! Putting the base together doesn't look that bad now that I watched you assemble it. I am looking forward to your next video.

    Very helpful video, thank you! My riser is being delivered today and I wanted to see how the assembly went and to see if I needed to remove the P2's feet first (looks like I don't). I'll have to think like an Egyptian again to get it into place by myself, but I managed to get it from the floor to the workbench by myself, so I'll have to figure something out.

    Question: How are you finding the ventilation with the riser installed? I'm finding it doesn't work very well and leaks fumes. Any tips would be appreciated.

      Ventilation in my case isn't bad however i am in an open air garage with fans at the back of the garage blowing tot he outside. So my setup is not a great comparison to those who want a traditional venting setup.

      If this becomes a problem for me, I'm going to use thin strips of 'soft' door seal foam. Pretty handy stuff.

    I just noticed that the right side doesn’t have as many slots as the right side. How do I adjust for that?

      I just use the slots that line up on both sides. Since the laser head has such a wide range of focus, it has not been an issue so far.

    How does xcs detect the base plate when it's in the riser?

    • @MonkeyWoodworks
      @MonkeyWoodworks  Рік тому +1

      It doesn't. Only in flat mode does the software "look" for the crumb tray to be inserted. However, you can turn the option off in xcs to override that setting.

    Any idea of the overall dimensions of the machine with the riser base? Lid up and Lid down? 🙃

      Yes. I added the requested information to my shared material settings google sheet. Check out the any of my P2 video descriptions for a link to it. I have lots of information in it.

      The machine with riser height is 17.4".

    The riser base is nice and goes together easily. If you move the base plate lower than the very first level on the riser base, you will get an error message that the base plate is not in position. Go to open plane mode, remove all of the slats, measure and then set your distance in mm from the top of your object to the top of where the slats would be if they were installed. Don't bother contacting X-Tool as they don't seem to answer any trouble tickets. At least in my experience they haven't answered the one I submitted more than a month ago.
    Thanks for the video and a big thanks to all of you who left comments.

      Yea, it wasnt bad at all. For the error message, you can just turn it off. Go to your P2 settings (gear icon at the top right of the image of the P2) and turn that notification off.
