Absolutely love my scrambler 900. I’m 6’4 the speed was way too short and just fit weird for me. It’s faster for sure but I live in a rural area / island town. The scrambler is more than enough, exhaust sounds great, I get compliments constantly and the extra speed wouldn’t do me any good where I live.
I'm also an adventure rider at heart so I'm normally more inclined toward scramblers or adventure motorcycles, the kinda off do it all, I wished I could get a scrambler 900 but they are too much expensive were I live but I was lucky enough to buy a second hand Street Twin 900 with just 700km for a price I couldn't refuse😅 the modifications I made to it are , street scrambler Handlebars, street scrambler rear brake lever, scrambler 1200 shift lever, wider adjustable foot pegs so I could also put them a bit more forward, modified street scrambler bashplate and Pirelli scorpion STR tires😅 so basically I have a Street scrambler with lower seat height and lower exhaust😂, it works and I can comfortably go on light offroad trails with Ease, Standing up on the pegs is also not a problem. Fun fact, the suspension travel on both scrambler and street 900 are the same, BUT the rear shocks body of the scrambler are build longer ( the street Cup and T100 have also the same scrambler shocks) and since it has a 19inch front wheel it gives a slightly better ground clearance and hence the higher seat height. I also installed a bigger rear sprocket because the gearing was too tall for were I live, for long highway riding it's perfect but for everything else I think it was just a bit too tall of gearing.
I’m 5’10” at 209 pounds. Own the Street Twin. Love it. The ride home from the dealership was weird since I’m used to very big bikes. At 65 years old I’ve owned over 45 motorcycles in my long motorcycle career. Every kind you can think of. But weird because yes it felt small. Like a mini bike lol. And I thought omg what have I done. I’m too big for this bike. Well it only took 10 minutes of riding and the feeling of cramped or small disappeared. Seriously. Rode 1.5 hours to get home. Love the power. Love the riding position. Absolutely love the stock exhaust note. Last ride I took was over 250 miles. I did not experience any discomfort and I have to say I just love the character of this bike. Good review. You nailed all the points one should consider between the two bikes. I agree highway speed over 70 mph is fatiguing but almost every naked bike will be. If you want to ride mostly highway then buy a proper highway bike. As for me. I’ll do highway when I need to and it’s fine. We had no choice back in the 70’s when all bikes were naked lol. So I’m going back to the future lol. Cheers.
I'm 5'10". Size 13 shoe and a chunky 210lbs. My spouse owns a st900 and I have to ride it for her weekly as she got injured a month back. Frankly I feel like a bear riding a tricycle every time I hop on it. Also a big thing that annoys me is the lack of a 6th gear, I hate it in the highway for that reason. The positives; solid tech package and solid stock sound. Overall i think the bike is perfect for beginners who are under 5'9".
Greetings from Australia. I ride both Harley's and Trumpies. Have a tricked out 2014 Wide Glide and a 2024 T100, but there's something my 1978 Bonne Tiger that just does it for me the best. Nice videos. Cheers.
Great comparison, just what I was looking for. Love your enthusiasm. I'd have been interested to hear your thoughts on the difference in torque, the speed twin gets 80 at 3,800, while scrambler hits peak torque lower down the rev range, 3,200 I think. Does that translate to a more brutal blast?
I am 5:11 and 180LBS. Use to own the Scrambler 900 now i own ST900. Love it. i put British Customs Bench seat that give me little bit of hight. Not fan of Highways anyway. st 900 is a forever Bike.
If you can delete the cat on either bike, pls do. Was shocked when I put an xpipe on my 900 speed twin. Completely woke the bike up and the sound is amazing now with stock cans.

Glad you are enjoying it! It really is a super fun bike. You are definitely right about the exhaust note! Thanks for watching!

Valid points! Thanks for watching and your insight. I appreciate you!

Sounds like a really solid collection to me! Thanks for watching and the kind words. I appreciate it.
I really like the enthusiasm you put in this video... but the shakiness really makes me seasick watching it...
Thanks for the feedback. It should be solved in more recent videos. I was doing some trial and error on camera settings.

Thanks for watching! I appreciate you. In my opinion they feel almost identical in that regard tbh.

Awesome. Glad you are loving it and that seat swap helped a bit. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.

is the pipe hot?
Hot but not an issue at all. You can lay your leg against it without issue.
Speed ...I choose. Please give me this motorcycle..
