Without kupp, the Rams would've never made the super bowl. Man's incredible
Idk. With Beckham injured everyone knew where the ball was going in that second half. Especially the final drive, everyone knew where the ball was going and still couldn't stop it. Pretty incredible to watch
He only had 2 catches the previous 35 minutes until that drive, and only 92 yards the entire game. They stopped him almost the entire came outside of that one stretch at the end.
Aaron McDonald made sure Rams could comeback more tho.. Bengals got shut down by him when it was 13 to 20
@@jonhakim5698 That was his point. Once OBJ went down, it should have been even easier to contain Kupp, knowing that he was the Rams last great offensive threat at wideout. But they obviously couldn't stop him without holding him. Everyone knew Stafford was going to throw the ball his way on that last drive, and yet still got it. That's a level of domination rarely seen. Stafford get's half that credit imo.
@@TP_Gillz And my point was that they DID contain him. Outside of that single drive he had a completely forgettable game.
@@jonhakim5698 but there is that "except". He was a monster on that game winning drive despite all the focus from the D being on him with Woods out, Beckham out, their 1st and 2nd string TEs out, and no running game
Without Kupp, they dont score that last TD to win the game
Donald was fantastic, but it really was a team effort on D because they are loaded on D and didn't have the same amount of injured players out as the O
Stafford and Kupp had to do a lot with less. I disqualify Stafford because, if not for his 2 picks, the game never would have been close to begin with (also if not for the injuries and the ref on the non facemask call)
*Cooper Kupp aka “Vanilla Rice” was enormously clutch on the Rams final drive*
- Converted 4th down via jet sweep
- 4 catches for 39 yards
- Drew 3 penalties on 3 consecutive plays in the redzone
- Caught the back shoulder fade for the game winning TD
Vanilla Rice😂😂
Who was cooper kupp before stafford?
I prefer, Cooper, “Mr. Daughter Dater”, Kupp
Come up with a different nickname idc if it’s a joke or not if he doesn’t have close to the same numbers next year never The names Kupp and Rice shouldn’t be together unless the recipe calls for one cup of rice 😂😂

Without Kupps offensive production the rams aren’t even in this game. ADs pressure and sacks help but Kupps production was necessary to win especially after obj went down

Not to mention, Cincy's O-Line is a joke while Cincy's defensive backfield is top 10 in the league. Aaron Donald's lucky he didn't have a unsportsmanlike penalty when he shoved Burrow to the ground while Burrow was already going out.
Agree despite what AD did in that game, if kupp doesn’t make that td catch it doesn’t really matter
@@chrismartin956 what are you talking about, joe burrow was at least a yard inbounds if not more. that was a completely legal play. the only people lucky not to get flagged on that play were the cincy o-line who pushed donald in the face after the play was dead.
@@OB-xf3jz Cincy woke up a sleeping behemoth after that incident.
Kupp had just that one drive (the last drive) once odell went down to “save” the rams lol. Aaron Donald single handily saved the rams by preventing bengals from advancing the football for points, what game were u watching
The difference is Donald had help. The entire D line played well. Kupp wasn’t getting any help after OBJ went down. Their best TEs were out, the run game was horrid, and the other WRs couldn’t beat man to man defense. Kupp was absolutely worthy of the MVP. He should have been the regular season MVP too.
If Donald took MVP this exact segment still gets played just in reverse. They both were key to the rams winning.

The correct answer is yes " it could've went to 2or 3 players on the Rams squad " anyone of them would've been appropriate . Kupp certainly fits the bill ....
I don't think Stafford deserved it.
If Stafford didn't throw 2 interceptions, he would have gotten the MVP as qb's always do. But the real MVP was Donald and the Rams defense. Without them, Kupp's numbers would have been forgotten about and all would be praising Burrow as the next Brady.
Stafford was very mediocre even outside of the interceptions. Repeatedly missed passes badly and made some suspect decisions.

I think they got it right by giving Kupp the Super Bowl MVP. Think about it...once Odell Beckham got hurt everybody knew that Kupp would be the primary target and they still couldn't stop him. AD is awesome and his impact on the game is undeniable but the Rams don't win without Kupp's heroics.
Kupp got it because of the game winning touchdown.
Best receiving season ever
Huh fwolf

Dude was unbelievable. Hands down mvp of the game.
5 minutes shouldn't make an MVP. Outside of that 5 minutes he was mostly forgettable.

Agreed. Kupp was awesome. Donald’s last 2 plays of the game were epic!
Kupp was their best player the entire Season. Balled in the regular season, all playoffs games and in the big game too.
Cooper Kupp is a freaking Beast, I've had him in fantasy for years before all the hype. Aaron Donald is out of this World, but either way they both deserve it. I have no issue what so ever.
Nah obj he was Killin the season
Cooper deserved that MVP. He was doubled all game as well. And with OBJ hurt, the defense knew the ball was going to Kupp. Stafford play shouldn’t take anything away from what Kupp accomplished. Davante Adams isn’t much without Aaron rodgers, and y’all praise him as the best in the league
They picked the right MVP. Kupp is a gifted player. He brings 100% every game. He is exciting to watch.

Kupp was hands down the MVP and it’s not even debatable.
Mike Irvin made the best point, the rams still could have won without Aaron Donald, but they had no chance to win without Cooper Kupp. After Odell got hurt Kupp literally put the offense on his back. Everyone and their mother knew who Stafford was throwing to and they still couldn’t stop is guy. He refused to let them lose. He always ran for a first down on 4th and short from their own 30 yard line, if he gets stuffed there the game is over. Donald made two big plays but other than that he didn’t do much.
He definitely deserves it because he been balling all yr and one of the best WR in the league
2021 had the Bucks, Braves, and Rams as champions. I'd say the Braves were the best story, but the Rams deserve props for winning it under the most pressure yesterday.
I honestly thought AD and Kupp deserved Co-MVP. Both came up clutch exactly when the team needed them.
Has any ever been a co MVP this Superbowl definitely should of been because the pressure AD put on Burrow. Imagine if AD didn't hit Burrow numerous times maybe more first downs an TDs for Bengals
It was the rams defense that kept bringing the offense more chances to score. Every time the rams couldn’t move the chain the camera went on to Aaron donald and he pulled through to give the offense another chance.
And the rest of the defense of course but donald brought their energy to another level.
That entire Rams team has lived on kupp's shoulders the entire season. He deserved regular season MVP and SB MVP
Cincy's average to below average O-line along with Burrow's quick release kept Donald in check most of the game. Without Kupp the Rams wouldn't have won. They couldn't move the ball once Beckham went out until they started targeting Kupp again.
Well, they held Cupp in "check" most of the game(same could be said)? Donald is the reason others are able to "make plays"? The dbl him almost Every Play AND still can't hold him?? The LA D gave LA offense the ball ALOT n the 2nd half. Cupp was pretty quiet till the last drive(evntho he had a TD already). My opinion
7 sacks is a real great job of keeping them "in check".
They had to devote 2 guys to Aaron Donald on every single play which opened up the field for everyone else. And even while double-teamed Donald still had multiple critical drives that he single-handedly ended (the drive at the beginning of the 3rd where they got into the red zone after the pick then Donald got back-to-back sacks, and the 3rd-and-1 and 4th-and-1 at the end of the game that Donald singlehandedly blew up).
The Titans also sacked Burrow 9 times and lost, what's your point? Cincy's offense can score. It was up to the Rams offense and Kupp to do the same to be able to win. I have no dog in this hunt anyways, just the way I saw it. IMHO.
@@phinsfan9397 Again, Kupp had 92 yards the entire game, fewer than every Super Bowl MVP in the previous 45 years. Until the last drive it was a completely forgettable performance.

It's the complete opposite - Kupp only had 50 yards until the final drive. And the Rams defense held the Bengals to just 1 TD in the first half and less than 10 yards in 4 of the 6 drives, so how can you claim they weren't taking advantage?
Donald and the defense were good all game. Rams offense had OBJ make the two biggest plays in the 1st half and then were silent all game until the final drive.

Reality: Hopkins caught a 9 yard pass to get the ball to the 30, then caught a 6 yard pass on 3rd-and-2 that got the ball into Cincy territory. So Kupp wasn't "literally the only receiver making plays", unless you literally don't know what "literally" means.
They got it right. Kupp is the MVP. Without him the rams lose. AD could've had 10 sacks but the rams offense had nothing going after obj went down. Kupp was hurt the past few years. He's always been elite.
He deserves it based on his regular season alone and no one out played him in the Super Bowl both defenses were great but he stood out all year
Von Miller did more early, Darnold is a beast without question but one of his sacks was also when Joe was running out of bounds. He is incredible and showed up big time when needed it most but Kupp was the man, especially after OBJ went out.
Von Miller didn't do more, if you were watching the game they had to double-team Donald all game and he still got pressure which is one of things that helped free up Von Miller.
And OBJ "did more early" than Kupp did, he looked like more of the MVP until he went out, so why doesn't that count against Kupp? Until that final drive Kupp only had 50 yards and would have been remembered for that awful botched pass he tried to throw more than anything else.
