I think AD deserved it but Kupp was out there without Odell, Woods, Higbee, or any running game and managed to get it done. Kupp might not be my first pick, but I can’t hate on it either.
For that reason he's deserving of the mvp. He had no help. AD was grear but cmon that defense is loaded. He had his help
@@jmen85 I feel you bro I’m not trying to drag the decision I just wish AD won because I’m a big fan of his 😅 One of many reasons I’ll never be a voter tho haha I can’t keep my bias out of the picture
@@jmen85 you do realize outside of the BS TD against Ramsey the Rams allowed a total of 55 yards the whole second half. The Bengals game planned around Donald, not Kupp.
Anthony Davis ? That’s the only AD I know 😄
The defense won the game. But Kupp was literally the only reason they had any offense whatsoever
21 touchdowns 2300+ yards 170 catches. Kupp had an insane season.
2,445 yards, I think.
Right, but this is about the SB.
Kupp doesn’t pick up that 4th down the game is over. And being double/tripled with OBJ out? Beast mode.
Donald was triple team 80% of the game
If Donald doesn't pressure Burrow in that 4 and 1, Burrow had Jamar alone with Ramsey in the turf to the game winning TD
@@JayR071 you not wrong
If they could split it between two people, this was the perfect opportunity for that.
As much as I loved Kupp winning MVP, I agree that AD should have won it. Actually, it would have been great for both to win it. Both great players and both well deserving of the MVP.
Kupp should keep it! Everyone was getting after Joe not just AD. Kupp was double and triple team with no help after obj injury.
Aaron Donald was double teamed too
@@IWannaUnaliveMyself he actually wasn’t, not frequently. He was double teamed for runs
@@SneakySnake133 you're blind. They pointed this out on pass plays he was doubled
@@IWannaUnaliveMyself occasionally yeah, when the Rams rushed 4. But he didn’t have an absurd amount of sacks compared to his teammates
Just like nick said, welcome to Aaron Donald EVERY play man is doubled
Von Miller 2 sacks in another SB he actually freed up AD from them crazy twist
r u trolling??? HE freed up ad?!?!?!? not ad freed HIM up
@@windowpainzplays8601 not really because they both helped each other because when they doubled AD then Von would cause havoc which led to Ad getting a couple 1 on 1 that he took advantage of💯
@@user-OS4M4 EXACTLY, notice how u said von was barely if at all double teamed, while ad was TRIPLE teamed
@@windowpainzplays8601 never in that whole game was he tripled team💀😂
@@user-OS4M4 Cap, but I think as soon as he pushed Cool Joe and their O-line defending him unlocked Semi-Perfect Aaron Donald
I disagree, Donald was brilliant, but after OBJ’s injury, Kupp had the job of two men.
He had the job of one man. They had a receiver take OBJs place. Stop acting like he's some super man that was out there by himself. Lmao
He did nothing until the last drive
Odell’s replacement was not effective, Kupp had to take a lot of extra heat for that. Idk, I would’ve been happy with either one of them getting MVP.
@@ritam768 exactly they clearly wasnt watching kupp. he was tripled or doubled and he was still saving the offense
@@Uptzay he literally had no catches once OBJ got hurt until that last drive
Kevin Wildes' is hilarious 😂
Could of went to either one, both where needed to win, but if they had to lose one, it would of been AD to win the Super Bowl, they got a stacked D, they could of lost him. But Kupp was their ONLY receiver left, and the bengals knew it. If OBJ was in, and got some yards on that last drive, the MVP is going to Donald. I would of been happy either way, but that defense was doing a lot of damage, there was 7 sacks, 11 qb hits and 8 TFL. Kupps triple crown year no doubt played a hand in it.
exactly!
Donald was MVP by a mile.. these ppl who make these decisions are ridiculous .. (white ur right)
@@beehive141 white players are rarely the Super Bowl mvp shut up bro
Kupp had 4 catches before the last drive.
It should’ve been AD. He had more impact in that game
i dont often agree with nick hes right on the money with donald.
This might be the first time I’ve ever agreed with him.
The referee that tossed the flag on 3rd down was the MVP of the game for the Rams
And the fact that the refs didn’t call a face mask/offense PI on the first play of the second half was the Bengals the main reason they were in the game. Completely shifted the momentum of the game.
@@halohalo929 that was a call the refs didn’t see just like they didn’t see the TWO pass interference calls on Ramsey, one being at the 1 yard line. Those are missed calls that happen all the time, that red flag the ref tossed on that third down was bs and was so the Rams could get a new set of downs
@@bigman7570 BS/miss calls happen all the time just like you said and that missed call was BS. All I was saying is that those BS flagged at the end changed about as much as that missed PI in my opinion. The refs thought they saw something and yeah maybe they were tick-tack but they thought they saw it so they called it. Just like they didn’t see an obvious face mask pull from a wide receiver on the corner for a 75 yard momentum changing touchdown
@@halohalo929 when the referee threw that flag in the 4th the only flags that had been thrown the whole game were an unsportsmanlike and 2 delay of game, a total of 3 flags, so I’m sure they had seen tick-tack calls prior to that but had just let them play but then when it’s third down for the Rams they decide to throw the flag on a extremely tick-tack call that they had been allowing all game, that’s that bs and he earned the MVP trophy
@@halohalo929 nah dude, that holding call in the 4th was ridiculous. And it’s tough to say how much the missed face mask actually impacted the game. Cinci still might’ve scored a TD that drive - we’ll never know. That holding call against the Bengals was nothing short egregious tho. Not saying the Rams didn’t deserve to win or anything, just that the false penalties at the end were devastating for Cinci and the Rams ended up having a ton of advantages at the end of the day and Cinci still made it a nail biter. Great game other than that though.
Congrats Rams Nation!
Im so happy you guys won the SB for Aaron Donald and Matt Stafford.
Just reminds me how the Baltimore Ravens did for Ray Lewis in his final game.
Salute Rams!!!💪💪💪💪
There’s a Ram’s Nation? You could rent a small conference room at a Holiday Inn and have everyone from Rams Nation attend and still have chairs that aren’t filled.
@@Socialdogma lol stay mad 🤣
Facts Aaron Donald deserved that mvp
A lot of people get sniffy when underrated minority players get their due.
If kupp was black yall would be saying he was mvp stop it
Donald didn’t deserve it they got it right
He had 3 tackles! And yes; he had 2 sacks, but 1 of them was not what anyone would really call a sack. He did play very well in the 4th quarter, but honestly they put up a graphic at one point -- 29 dropbacks by Bengals, 1 hurry 0 sacks by Donald.
Donald is arguably best DT all time [I'm a Reggie White guy but...]. I got nothing against him & he did come up in clutch spots in the 4th, but Kupp was far & away the more valuable player in that game. Not even close.
No
I love Aaron Donald, but it’s so hard for a defensive player to win MVP
Because they’re offensive. Ad impact was crazy
AD didn’t even have the best stats on defense.
@@k2gees cause he was triple team every play
AD and Kupp were deserving. They both should have been MVP
I don't think anyone would have had a problem had Donald won it, but Kupp had to do it alone basically. Donald still had players on defense. Kupp had it harder and came through. If you could share an MVP award, this would have been the time though. They both deserve it.
On a side note I'd also like to point out that this to me highlights why the Chiefs weren't in the Super Bowl. Their defense kept getting their opponent back in the game in the 2nd half. No matter how far they were ahead, their defense was a catch up mechanic for their opponent. The Rams defense were a barrier, they said nope you're not scoring any more, we own you. Stark difference that the Chiefs need to address, but good luck with that.
Stafford threw 3 touchdowns, responsible for ALL the points on the board. He could have been MVP too. I noticed that the big 3 - Stafford, Kupp, and Donald - all did the Disneyland commercial this year. Fitting.
Kupp is homegrown by the Rams as well. both players are well deserving of the award
Nick goes after the coach lol 🤣 classic 😂
lil Aaron look just like his dad lol
I saw that too dude! wonder if he's gonna be a monster too
Man first time I’ve ever agreed with Nick!!!!
He's too smart for you
@@IWannaUnaliveMyself maybe 🤔
Wrong
Kupp was like randy moss in 07
I’m dying laughing! Great comebacks!
Von miller and Donald had the same amount of sack and TFL as well Donald struggled in the first half until the coach made adjustments but cooper kupp from start to finish was amazing especially on that game winning drive we’re he completely carried the offense making big catch after big catch even when they knew he was getting the ball they still couldn’t stop him
Donald was also consistently double and triple teamed
@@laguti17 cooper kupp was also doubled as well they knew Stafford was only throwing to him and they still couldn’t stop him do u know how insane that is they focused so their attention on him and they still. Couldn’t stop him that’s unreal
@@zafirmomodu8819 being double teamed as a reciever is easier to get free then for a DT. There are route combinations to open him up. Donald has a guard and center on 90 percent of plays and an occasional tackle to help block him.
@@laguti17 yes but Donald didn’t escape on his own first half they only sent 4 because they thought they could do what titans did but they couldn’t until Mcvay made an adjustment to rush an extra person to rush were Donald was to force them to take him one on one Donald was not a factor at all in the first till they made that adjustment
The slick shots Nick takes at people are crazy!😂😂😂😂😂
They both deserved MVP, needed a defensive and offensive mvp….
No question Aron Donald should have got mvp of the super bowl period, for once a agree with knick. You take Donald off the team they loose!
You also take Cooper kupp out of the game you lose. Homie carried for that final drive
@@bibo5854 I agree with you also the Fact that he caught the game-winning go ahead touchdown after just getting leveled while catching one in the end zone only to have it reversed by offsetting penalties was amazing
@@halohalo929 Exactly fam lb near got knocked out and still got the TD after
@@bibo5854 last play for the bangles there reserver was wide open qb had no time and was being sacked. Defense won that game not offense!!
Teams win. Nobody remembers the mvp for the most part.
I TOTALLY agree. A Donald absolutely was the MVP!!
Wildes and Nick are both correct
Donald had 2 sacks, tied with Von Miller. Cooper Kupp was the best receiver on the field and the Rams offense was banged up with no run game. He was big on that 4th down play and caught the game winning touchdown. Enough said, he was the clear MVP and the reason the Rams won the game.
If the Rams defend that good Bengals wont even score 20 pts.
Goodness gracious, just give Kupp what he deserved for his relentless never giveup attitude.
I AGREE
Kupp played football for 10+ years... That's how he knows how to run with a ball
Name any player can hold a guard up and COMPLETELY STOP a grown man running at full speed from getting a yard
Getting 1 yard
I agree the defense won this for the Rams Rams only scored 20
23
Shoulda been a tie... Kupp had no help... ODB was out... Higbee was out... No running game.
Donald was a FORCE OF NATURE!
Both deserved it (Harvey Martin/Randy White 1978).
Without Kupp AD doesnt have the moments he had.
Co-MVP. It was 50/50 they both made winning plays.
I truly wish they would’ve given a co-mvp! They lose that game if either of them aren’t there
I wouldn't of been mad if AD got it, but the right guy won it imo. 5 touches for 47 yards and a TD on the GW drive for Kupp which included converting the 4th down on that jet sweep. Of course they don't win without either guy last night, but Kupp took the game over without OBJ, no run game, no TE threat, Jefferson was MIA, he's getting doubled and triple teamed, and he STILL won that game for them.
I love AD, but Von and him had similar stats, while Kupp had an amazing final drive that got the 1st down on 4th and 1. AD game saying stop and final play save don't happen if Kupp doesn't get his 2 TDs or his final drive. Can we just give them both a trophy?
Von is the unsung hero of that game
I'm not on board with this idea the defense won the game for the Rams. The game was mostly an offensive snooze fest and when they needed a touchdown to win late in the 4th quarter Stafford and Kupp found a way to move the ball through a Bengals defense that was making it hard up to that point. And frankly rushing the Bengals offensive line isn't an insurmountable feat. They took a little longer to start applying pressure than I expected, but they tightened the screws when it counted.
Broussard you are 100% right. W/o Kupps touchdown AD’s play goes for not. Rams lose without Cooper Kupp!! 💯
Kupp ran on 4 and 1 and got us within goal line
And Cupp took a shot to the helmet right before the GW TD. Cupp won the MVP by being clutch when OBJ went down. Had OBJ not gone down, and it wasn't clear that Cupp was the only other reliable receiver, then maybe, because Donald did play outstanding, but other than Ramsey, the whole defense played well the entire game. The Rams running game was a hindrance, and without OBJ, Cupp got the Rams over the line. The Offense was the Rams vulnerability, and Cupp came through, hence the MVP.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Like how Nick has completely flipped on Matthew stafford now love that
They knew who to block and he still came out with 2 sacks. Sacks are harder than catches
If Kupp doesn't make those clutch Edelman style catches, they go to OT and then it's a toss up.
Without Kupp they wouldn’t have been driving or scoring ! Plus he was the man all season ! Donald had von miller helping him these analysts are high af ! Kupp stats proved he was the man all season & the Super Bowl
Facts
Agree Nick
Whoa! I agree with Nick about something. Mark this day down
Too many times in the big game the offense gets the most credit but the last two Super Bowls have been dominated by defense.
I’m just wondering how Nick is still on TV. Since they let just anybody have a show where do I sign up.
As a Bengals fan I'm in pain so can't even watch these post game shows without being like 😭😭😭 see y'all for the draft
They, (the Bengals), better learn how to keep Joe Burrow upright before he becomes the next Andrew Luck. Sacked 9 times in the divisional round, sacked 7 more in the Super Bowl. Rookie season already lost to injury.
@@leir2005 Yep it's been are weakest weapon for years now and we've got away with it a few times this season but ultimately it let us down. So many wasted drives because the line especially at right tackle just coudnt do anything. And burrow got clipped again guys gonna end up hurt and out the league in his early 30s if they don't fix it. Should be the main priority In the draft
They need to have co mvp for championships in all sports. They have an odd number of voters to avoid it but some teams deserved two MVPs. This could’ve been Kupp/Donald.
This is the 1st time I agree with Nick & it has nothing to do with the fact that I had a Aaron Donald SuperBowl MVP ticket at +600
Wiles jokes alot lol 🤣 but he's 🔥
Truth
We already know this.and so does Kuop
Kupp or Donald deserving of super bowl mvp
Ok captain obvious
People love AD and rightly so. He was great and a game changer..... In the second half.
But the defense was stacked. Kupp on the other hand played great for the entire game and was the only reason they scored in the last drive. When you take the fact he was the only option yet still made it happen on the last drive, plus was the reason the were moving the ball in the first half, it was a no brainer.
AD was silent most of the game by double teams and also by being sat out on certain plays. He made up for his lackluster first half but not enough to beat out a player who has no one else to take pressure off of him yet still wins the game
Rams don’t win without kupp without those 2 tds from him they lose
I want to say Donald should have got it, but I think it should have been CoMVP. Rams need both to be at their best to win, one without the other I don't think it ends the same. I love Donald, trust me. Horns up!!
I think a co-mvp between Kupp and Donald would have been fair
Has it ever happened before
AD deserved it because Kupp couldn't have it without Matt. AD made 2 plays in the end that were essentially all him. AD made the whole defense work directly or indirectly.
Kupp for mvp sensational 2 tds defense wins championship however offense wins the game cooper kupp 2 tds last with 125 forced fed and wins on fade route after the blasting two plays before.
Agree with Nick
Kupp shoulda got best qb award aka nfl mvp
if the postseason counted for mvp award kupp proved it should have been him
I absolutely agree. But Kupp was awesome too.
And Donald and the defense was non-existent in the 1st half, so how is he the MVP? Kupp was good the whole game.
Kupp will be a future HOF. But AD should have been MVP. For this SB.
AD is a first ballot hofer if he retires today
Honestly I’m okay with either Kupp or Donald winning it. It would be great if they could somehow give it to both of them but Kupp was the offense especially after OBJ went out.
I felt Donald or Kupp was very deserving and Stafford was too, to a lesser extent. I would have been happy with CO MVPs. The thing is the media and people are talking about it, but listen to Kupp’s interview after the game. He says I don’t know if I deserve this award. I know it’s MV PLAYER and not PLAYERS, but sometimes it’s too close for one person to get it.
They got it right...Kupp was the MVP
This was one of the worst offense of line performances in Super Bowl history
I was thinking, "You can take the Lion outta Detroit, but you can't take Detroit outta the Li...err, Ram!" Then...😫😫
Awards should go to QB.
AD was offside on that final play anyway, kupp earned it
Nick never gets it right. notice he does not mention his false pick.
Really ALL THREE... first you need to pass the ball second you need to catch the ball and third you need to stop them from scoring so he passed it,, he caught it,, and he sacked him game over all of this had to happen or else they loose ✔✔✔ MVPs
🏆🏆🏆
This from the guy who says defense is irrelevant in modern football. Besides, consider them front line. Was it how good Donald was, or how bad the line is.
6:30 idk her name but if you want a voice you gotta speak up, they aren't turn taking, they're taking their turn lol
I think kupp deserves it because if he doesnt get that last td there is no win
Season MVP should be Kupp
SB MVP: AD
Thank you for setting dude straight on the Jordan take... like he didn't lose. Hate that nonsense and I'm FROM Chicago
He’s right they won the game because of AD if we wanna be 100% real 🤷🏾♂️..Cupp was unreal but AD was so clutch it’s ridiculous
BS, if AD was so great, he do it at the beginning of the game, not late, Kupp did EVERYTHING!!!!
Aaron Donald better not retire
I wish I was as confident as Nick is when Im wrong. AD had Miller and others to help him on defense. After Odell went out, Kupp was a one man offense. Everyone in the stadium knew they were going to him. He had to fight thru multiple double and triple coverage too. AD had literally 2 other all-world defensive players helping him.
Who got the stops when needed? Ad did
The reason the Rams won that game was because Kupp turned it on in that last drive, had 2 TDs. The Rams defense, like every other defense Cincy faced, was destroying that oline. If anything, the Rams defense only made Joe Burrow look better. A lot of guys on Burrow's offense saw the moment as too big and it showed on that 4 and 1 play at the end that Perine should have caught. He made no effort and regardless of the duck coming out, you're a pro. You're a 3rd down back. You catch those balls all the time. So all the people pushing for Donald to get it for facing a terrible oline and still getting scared by Burrow most of the game? Nah. Kupp definitely earned it. Nick is just mad because he still thinks it should have been KC in there and that Tyreek Hill deserves the SB MVP, not Kupp.
@Nsaynity- Kupp deserved MVP, but blame the Bengals coach and Joe Burrow for that 4th and 1.
4th and 1 for the game and Joe Mixon is not on the field? You don't design a play for Chase?
Also JB is a great young QB, but he has to know that ball has to come out quick. If you see it from the othe angle the running back didn't really have a fair chance at the ball.
This should have been co-MVPs ...
Nah Nick Wright just saying that cause he bet on AD for SB MVP
They don’t win without Kupp!!! Kupp is just the wrong color!
