Great video. Some things to note would be that this can be done on all standard Slim Models(No E Slim). Any slim that was not already a Special Edition has a different speaker that does not recreate most sounds accurately. You can remove the through hole speakers and solder use a Gameboy Speaker (8 ohm 0.5w).
I found your channel a couple of hours ago, but I've already subscribed and watched close to half of your videos. This is a great channel that will soon be one with the greats!
Really appreciate that mate, glad you’re enjoying the content!
Wouldn’t solid core be better instead of stranded wire? It seems like it would have saved you a lot of frustration when the soldering was needed.
Yeah you’re probably right, although I haven’t found any NAND cables that have single strand wire on them, but definitely something that I will look into.
No nand cables are single core however you could add male dupont connectors to the end of the nand wires that would make it a lot easier
I have successfully done an RGH 3.0 to a Corna Xbox 360E (16 mb) using a Picoflasher which I used solid core 30 awg wire. I’m not sure if that counts but it’s what I used as my nand flasher to flash the nand. @@SwitchBrew
I use the Resistors ends when i trim them, they work great@@TheModSmith
@@xJTAGxMoDzXenonyeah bro does work great
Adding some solid wire off of a through hole resistor to the ends of those wires and some heat shrink makes that loads easier and look better.
Those are more sturdy, though, meaning you might end up ripping off stuff, if you're not super careful.
this mod is thankfully so much easier to do on a corona board, instead of having to solder to resistors you can solder wires directly onto a couple of pads connected to a raspberry pi pico, with the picoflasher firmware installed, you don't risk breaking off a resistor because your soldering iron got too hot or something lol
Interesting, do you have any links or diagrams for this?
@@TheModSmith i can't post any links without youtube deleting them unfortunately, look up se7ensins custom 360 boot eject sounds. there's different diagrams and one of those is the one i'm talking about
@@sherme Hey there I went to take a look and it seems the diagram for corona on Ruby's post is unavailable. Any chance you have access or know where I can find it elsewhere.
Hey man, great video, this is the best guide i have seen so far especially for begginers. is there a way to do this with pico flasher as that is a bit easier for me to get my hands on rather than xflasher. thanks
Yeah you can do this with the PicoFlasher, the diagrams are on the PicoFlasher GitHub.
Why not solder alligator clamps to the end of the wires so you don’t have to solder just clip program I clip and it would be much faster also would u be willing to do this service for people
So 2005 😄
honestly dont see myself doing this in the future, but still pretty cool :)
also i think your discord link is expired
I always wondered about this, I thought you had to change the speaker on the board and do something extra. Probably a dumb question but will this work on any trinity RGH 3 console, even if it is not a limited edition one?
Yeah this works on all Slim consoles, although this console was a special edition so already had the upgraded speaker needed for some sounds. I’ll be posting a video soon on how to upgrade the regular speakers.
I've loved casual console modding for 20 years but whenever soldering is mentioned I can't bring myself to take the risk and I have none of the practice needed for small parts.
Practice your skills, and worst case you lose a £20 console. That’s the risk.
The more you do i5, The better you will get. Watch to s of tutorials here on YT. It's a Great way to get started
U have to pretin wires before soldering, bro. Hahhahaha Rookie
You risk damaging the insulation when pre tinning wires, and you definitely don't have to do it. Also, is that your own RGH install in your profile picture?
@@TheModSmith This is my over 10 years old soldering. When RGH2 was develop.
p.s.If You got over 30 years of soldering experience , you will not goin to damage insulation. Meanwhile I use NASE 2C Soldering Station, which is not $10 cheap one.
You'd think someone who is old enough to have 30 years of experience in something would act like an adult and not laugh at people who have different opinions.
Does this work for fat xbox 360s?
no as they dont play a sound when you press eject or the power button it was the xbox 360 s that brought sounds to the consoles
Can this be done on an XFlasher?
No, PicoFlasher and JRProgrammer only.
My question is how do u get that website cuz all i want is just be on the website on my phone to listen to the sweet sound of gears of war 3 without braking the speaker on my social xbox 360
I don’t understand what you’re asking, what website?
@@TheModSmith the custom boot sounds on your computer is there a way u can do that on your phone or is it just computer only ?
@@DodgeRacer23 You need a computer running JRunner.
@@TheModSmith ah I see is there a other u can upload I have a problem with an MTU problem with my Xbox 360 last night I was playing GTA v and as I went to bed I have a message saying MTU problem is there a video u can do it help me out ?
@@DodgeRacer23 There’s plenty of resources online already, I can’t make videos for individual people.
can I use a nand x or pico flasher?
You can use the PicoFlasher but not NAND-X.
can I use xFlasher 360?
The xFlasher 360 doesn’t support Sonos, you can use the JRP or PicoFlasher.
