Good stuff man, I'm gonna have to give this a try on my trinity RGH3. I mainly just wanted to put the star wars special edition sound effects on it since they sound good and better than the stock beeps
Hey man nice video firstly and foremost! I had a question though, can I use any 2 wire external speaker? I'm looking on ali express and don't know which one to get. Can you give me an idea of what I can and what I can't use? Thank you!
Hey, so i did use a few different speakers but i always get the same result, no audio. The led on the jq6500 lightens up showing, that a button press us regustered but no audio. I measured and get 2.5V on Speaker+. 5v coming into the JQ6500. Iam on a Corona board. Any idea why it isn't working properly?
corona is the same as in the video, falcon/jasper or on any phat, on the bottom side of the buttopns will be a square which to 99% is the pin where you want to solder your wire.
Yep my comment was erased but anyways I too got shipped a HW-896 v2.0.2 so I'm going to try this and see if the pinouts are the same because there's absolutely nothing online except for a HW-896 v1.2 which I think is indeed the same. We shall see and I'll drop a video myself to help other ppl who are confused. 😊👍🏻
@willytavious yeah man just drop the link that'd be very noble! Thanks in advance! I'll give these HW-896 v2.0.2's a go too and let others know here if they work.
You can do this on Corona boards, and it's the same method, although the wiring diagram is different to the Trinity motherboard so make sure to use the correct one.
yeah but i see people saying that they want to flash sounds from custom editions, probably should have said to people that you should use the original chip for that @@TheModSmith
@@TheModSmithcan you do an update and tell people how to use the HW-896 v2.0.2 chips since that's all that ever gets sent from eBay and Amazon and well anywhere...I think the pinouts are different.
@@TheModSmith Please do. This is amazing and i cant wait to mod my phat 360 with a custom sound. Maybe a link to a guide online for phat would be great too.

Fake Sonus works great for special edition boot/eject sounds and doesn’t require a chip
Great video!🎉 Subbed!

Where can i find corona/jasper/falcon wiring diagram?

Any idea why when I load up my mp3's they come out sounding really quiet?

Something you didn’t mention in the video. Were do you plug the chip to program it ????
microUSB cable from the JQ6500 into USB type A on your computer.
this is for a trinity board.Works the same for a Corona board?

cant you just use a pico to flash the original chip???
File size limitations.

Where the hell are the diagrams????
cool thank you
Is there any way to lower the delay?
My audio clip had some empty space at the start, so you could probably cut the sound shorter at the beginning.
@@TheModSmith That makes sense. Is there any chance that you could do a tutorial for Phat consoles in the future?
@@cenno2255 I sent him 2 JQ6500 chips so he could make a tutorial on both
Damn, this is Windows 360 right?
can you do this for phat
Yes, but the wiring is a bit different. I may do a video on it soon.
