Dang, I always wear grass boots on AG. But I am thinking of buying AG boots. But are AG boots the same as turf boots? Too many surfaces; its confusing and expensive if you need a boot for every surface.
My last football boot was superfly 7 elite but it was fg. I bougth it because it had a big discount. But when i first played with them (on artifical grass) i always fell and you know when you start running but your body is in front of your boots and your legs are kinda bending backwards, that happend to me all the time! It was so annoying. I got used to the grip on the pitch eventually and then it were fine. (Sort of)
Would definitely recommend NOT wearing FG on AG. I've done it twice, the second time I strained my MCL in my knee making a sharp turn. *Don't do it!!!*
Say Mike saying "Choose your boots with right materials and comfort" Me having boots which is literally the most discomfortable and worst ball kicking experience.
Just wanted to know 1.i recently started playing with football cleats...and the touch feel hard...will I be able to dribble like barefoot? 2.how tight should I tighten the laces? 3.will it feel like I’m playing barefoot?
1. It depends on what boot you buy/going for: material, quality (academy), ... 2. Tighten your laces from the bottom up, you'll have equal tension. When you tighten the laces, pull to the outside, not up. That way the holes where the laces go through don't wear, tear or get bigger. 3. Again it depends on what you buy and the quality, ...
I'll give an example for you. I currently own tiempo legend VII pro, before that the same boot but in club version. There's a big difference in quality and the barefoot feel when playing. Ofcourse it doesn't matter what you get, but if there's a sale on boots you get your moneys worth on the tiempo legend VII pro. This is just on the tiempo legend VII pro, takedown models vary in quality, etc. Research well before you decide, every foot is different. Take what is best for you. I prefer leather boots, but you might prefer synthetic. Hope this helps!
Biggest mistake was using my Fg boots on Ag pitches because they didnt last with me at all. Now i learned and used the fg/ag version and was able to use it on Ag and they lasting pretty long time.
Can you guys make a video on follow through after taking a shot. It is important and i personally feel i have a bad one, so i hope you guys can help me out with it 👍🤞
The reason why I wear the Phantom VSN 2 is because they are really comfortable on my feet and their hidden laces make me easier to pass the ball around since I'm a midfielder
For me, the worst thing you can do for your boots and health is wear the wrong studs for the surface (FG or SG on artificial ground). But walking on concrete is almost as bad for you, wears your knee cartilage and studs. Not cleaning the boots makes them stink and accelerates any sole separation. This is a very good list
I realized that I was not doing anything and I was happy. but i have a question. When my boots are muddy, I get out right away, but what can we do about the mud on the fabric sections? washing machine wouldn't be right I guess (like boots predator or nike superfly elite)
I haven't done one of them with football boots, I didn't have any🤣. With (ruuning-)shoes, I have gambled on size. Multiple times. I always get it 95% right. They fit me always. My football boots i walked on a hard surface (maybe not concrete, it was some meters not many) and I bought them after trying them on😑
Levi Pulisic Despite what the “experts” may say, you can absolutely use FG cleats on a turf field (outdoor). Turf shoes will be worthless if you live in a place where it rains. Just recognize that styles that are blade heavy (think phantom venom) might be a little too sticky for your preference when compared to less aggressive styles (predator; nemeziz, etc).
@@foketheninja7995 Absolutely! Just keep in mind that the superfly in bladed in a forward direction, with the intention of digging in in a forward direction, so it'll be most aggressive in a forward direction. Also, the bladed heel provides real nice stability but can take a little getting used to if you're used to less aggressive cleats. Best thing you can do (and this should be done with any boot you buy regardless) is go to an open pitch and just mess around in them for a while, get comfortable in them, recognize how they feel and will perform. Just make sure the fit (size wise) is correct because many places won't take shoes back once they've been used :)
I gave myself a stress fracture in one fibula and a pinched nerve in the other leg when I wore supposed "multi-ground (MG)" boots on an AG pitch. Apparently a cheaper, harder AG pitch than I realized. How much must one hate their legs and feet to subject them to SG boots on an AG pitch?! Surely that's the sort of a mistake a person only ever makes once.
I mean a+b whole sq is a different fit and application than a sq + b sq application , one needs say the former for shot taking and later for juggling and not viceversa
A few years back I Needed some new boots asap and I was short in money so I bought some predator lethal zones that were in clearance and well they made my feet get blisters and I had to use them for a whole year and each time they made my feet hurt
If you wear FG boots on AG pitches, can it wear off the studs or tear the leather if it's a speed boot? There was a label attached to my boots and it said "Suitable for Firm ground, Natural grass and Artificial grass."
What's the *biggest boot mistake* you've made? 😅/Jay
