Very clear issues. My mother is like this too. They don't understand that going off on tangents that only connect to the subject for them and give way too much information (such as people's first names that the listener doesn't know). They just don't understand normal conversations. It's very sad. The logic just doesn't track correctly.
The worst part is they believe things will go one way if they say what they need to because how could anyone not see it there way?
And then they are just really shocked when they don't.

The state of Georgia is utterly inept at properly filing indictments. Some of the cases coming up in Mannings court at times are nearing an amount of time unindicted that you would get as a maximum sentence. And then theres 1.5-2 years unindicted for major crimes. Its ludicrous.

This used to be dealt with in mental health hospitals and institutions, not prisons. Everybody got rid of institutions in the 90s and advocated that mentally ill people be cared for in the community and by the community - yet that requires long-term funding of nurses and doctors and mental health housing that never got funded to replace the institutions. What was supposed to improve did not improve and instead mental illness becomes the health crisis of families despearately struggling on their own to keep their relatives alive, out of jail, safe or people are in and out of prison or sleeping on the street. The cruelty has just changed in nature it has not be allieviated.

If someone is on 24 hour house arrest for 14 months, as Mr. Taylor is, wouldn't you try and get a job right away from home? These days there are probably as many jobs you can do from home as there are where you have to go to work. Just a thought. I'm about to turn 61 and I am disabled, and I am looking for some part-time work with a flexible schedule. I know he could have made a lot of money these last 14 months, set it aside and on the day he is off of house arrest he would have a nice little bank roll. He could have done that, and/or started taking classes. In that amount of time he could have set himself up for a trade the day he is off of house arrest. I'm glad he got his GED though. Great first step!
