    Beautiful work! You make it look too easy. I burned up a lot of spot welder drill tips and now I see the advantage of the pneumatic chisel. Nice!

      I tried, unsuccessfully, 2 times to get my windshield delivered to my house. Both times they were shattered!!!! I ended up driving to a local place that had a windshield for me

      @@SuperchiefApache Yeah I cringe when ordering big panels..... There are a few place near that I can physically pick parts up, Summit Racing is an awesome brick and mortar about an hour away.

    Great video! Now you have me wondering if I should replace the whole back panel on my 53 Chevy as you have done here? Or should I do a bunch of hammer and dolly work as well as replace the cab corners. I think work time your method seems less work intensive.

      That retainer makes the replacement a little tricky... but nothing like a new, all metal panel !

      I purchased that years ago from harbor freight, not sure if it's still available, yeah all of the cool stuff is disappearing....

    Who makes that air chisel bit? Every one I find is a lot thicker than that. I thought about grinding down one for masonry, but that much grinding would probably screw up the heat treating of the metal and make it not last very long.

      I have had that forever, unfortunately I've looked for it and haven't found a replacement... like everything else.... good parts/tools disappearing fast....

      Resistance welds are the industry name, but everyone usually calls them spot welds. Potatoe - patato.....

      Harbor Freight no longer sells it but Tractor Supply shows them on their website but they're out of stock. At least that's what I've found in North Central Pennsylvania.

    6:25 I would just drill each slightly then use air hammer. Weaken the spot welds, them they rip off.

      Answer: preparation!!! If you have a good clean surface, proper setting on the welder, and good technique….all those welds become flat! Practice on some junk metal, practice, practice, practice!

    A video listing or describing your materials and most useful tools would be helpful for DYIers. Specific materials and possible sources would be a welcome addition to you excellent videos. I have two farm tractors to restore and your videos provide basic technical education which I believe will be very helpful.

      Unfortunately...... that is a toss up.... if you are asking least expensive OER if you are asking quality AMD, I'm seeing sever quality issues across the board...

      @@guzzifabrication3448Interesting. I will look into it and do some home brew testing for what kind of wear I think it will experience. It may be the ticket. Also thinking about Butyl rubber. The material used in tri-five trunk lids is not available, just those cosmetic cut outs. Thanks.

      You lose a lot of detail when you record video with your phone vertical (up and down) vs horizontal (left and right).
      There is a humorous video on UA-cam. Vertical Video Syndrome.
