Honesty - Quality - Craftsmanship
You Sir, have just AB-SO-BLOODY-LUTELY astounded the socks off me!! I would dearly love to shake your hand!!
In less than 15 minutes, you have taught me and countless others, how to do a double layered rust repair that IS a MUCH better finish, than most so called “professionals”.
You simultaneously inspired a wide-reaching “Can Do” philosophy, of new found confidence to an army of men who genuinely want to try their hand at it, but would otherwise not be able to overcome the mental hurdle of just where and how to start.
Down Under in Australia 🇦🇺 we call it “Giving it a red hot crack at it” (Doing your level best)
The truth is, we stand a far better chance of success at anything, when an understanding, compassionate person such as yourself happily, and encouragingly “demystifies” tasks like this.
You choose to bless everyone by sharing easy, practical, common sense techniques, borne out years of experience.
THANK YOU, and God Bless You Bloke

That's a very generous comment , THANK YOU ! that's what this channel is about showing people how to work on their own projects and the encouragment to do so !
Guzzi does the work correctly. No hack. All process. No shortcuts.
I am a DYI , and my philosophy it’s that everything man made can be fixed , nice vid , keep ‘em coming.
That's awesome ! thanks for the comment !
Your a Great teacher. A good teacher gets a persons attention. You explain everything well, along with making it interesting. I learned alot.
Thanks
Thank you Mr Kupp !!! I really appreciate you taking the time for such an awesome comment
That is the best patch job I've ever seen .
Thank you Mr. Pollard !
Awesome result. Will try this on my 55 210 when weather permits. If it doesn’t work well for me, I can resort to body fill. Appreciate you showing the details on how to do it correctly. Excellent technique.
Thank you Sir ! take your time and constantly adjust the metal and control the heat.
Wonderful video! I have always hoped to restore something myself one day and content like this is such a great knowledge transfer for those who want to learn. Thank you!
Thank you Mr. Brecht, Glad to pass on some of the things that I know. Hope you can use them someday on your project have a great new year
Dude your Awesome ! Thanks for all the help, I'm starting on my first ever project 66 Mustang, really appriciate the videos.
Happy New Year and good luck on the Mustang !
Pretty Slick!! 😎
Just trying to do high quality work !
Tanks for a nice video agian

Great stuff
Thank you Sir !
Great work
Thank you Sir !
Wow! I was brown away on your welding talent .
Excellent work...
Thank you Sir !
good job
wish you were here :)
Thank you !!
Every spot weld tack must be wire brushed clean before another spot tack is laid over it. It will rust quickly if you do not.
Thanks for the info.
That’s mighty purty! I’m gonna do the expedited version of that on the header panel of the ‘69 pace car where some monkey heads piled a buncha bondo on a sacka walnuts. They got it within a half inch, but I’ll get it to a sixteenth 😁😁
I know you'll do a great job ! thanks for supporting the channel !
@@guzzifabrication3448I don’t mind saying you do a more meticulous job than I do, but I don’t do “restorations”. If someone comes looking for one, I’ll send them to you😉😉
Very good video.
Thank you Sir !
Great video and instructions 😊😊😊
Thank you ! @lawrenceessard4086 I really appreciate your comment !
Just brilliant, words fail me.👍👌
Wow ! I really appreciate that !!!
Thank you rob. Appreciate you
Have a great New Year brother !
This is why rotisserie restorations cost about 60-80k. Time, tools, materials, etc. are all expensive. No money in restoring these cars but I’m glad people do it.
@Braveheartman123 Thanks for the comment, the trick is starting with a car that is worth investing in...
Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you for supporting the channel !!
WOW, that was fantastic.
That's an awesome comment, Thanks !
Truly an art 👍
Thank you Sir !!
Excellent
Thanks !!
This is great stuff! Which welding machine would you recommend for a complete noob? I need to do some bodywork similar to this as well as floor pans. I'm trying to avoid a welder that requires gas. Thanks.
Get a welder you can build on, by that I mean one that can be converted to shielding gas, trust me you'll be much happier with shielding gas. Facebook, craigslist, etc are good source for used welders at half the price ( try before you buy )
This awesome work! Ty
Thanks !
Interested in the total time spent start to finish? I have a religious experience coming with a 74 VW. Beautiful work BTW.
Making the video at the same time doubled the time for sure....
Nice
Thank you Sir !
I have a cayenne, front fender bolts into rocker, rockers rusted, tab fender bolts into is rusted off. Has a plastic cover in front of it that I found a way to zip tie in place. I’m looking to get a cheap used fender (long story short) and cut the fender 1/4 way up and weld the new one in. Is that metal just too thin to not have warp? Or just too much of a headache compared to painting a new/used fender ?
Great question, something like that I would lap joint and finish with a little body filler.
Linoleum knife.
Thanks !
Wow
Hey that's awesome thanks for the comment and thank you for watching
why didn't you show the welding of the patch
I did..... go back and rewatch
Would a person prime or seam seal the back side of the panel?
Great question, yeah, I realized after I did the video I didn't show it but I primed the backside of the panel
@guzzifabrication3448 awesome thanks loved the video and your comments about diy. What current setting for 18 gauge?

Were going to keep rolling brother !
Hi I used to do sheet metal fab at a street rod shop Up in MN where everything is rotted! I have also done 3 frame off restos on 60s cars for my self but it seams every video I watch that you put up i learn new and better ways to do stuff I thought I already new. Thank you so much!
I learn new stuff everyday, brother.
Just passing on what I learned.

THat's awesome !
Very nice great job your awesome

I'm looking to do some cab repairs to a vintage lorry later in the year. My mig is gasless so I will be replacing it. During the course of watching repairs, often the narrator runs their mig at a higher amp. What amps do you run here, and is it worth buying a mig that can go down to 30? This is hobby level purchase. Thanks, Great video
EVery machine is different, the best advise is sit down with what ever machine you have get a bunch of different gauge material and dial in your setting by learning your particular machine, an excellent youtube teacher is www.youtube.com/@weldingtipsandtricks
Robert really missing your videos what's next project ?
I'm still in the middle of 6 different projects, just a little different direction on youtube. Thanks for all of the support, I really appreciate you !
I would love to know more about that blaster you used! I don't see something similar on the HF website, I take it you bought it quite some time ago?
You are correct, I like harbor freight, but like every other place, items / materials are being deleted faster than ever.....
Hi thanks for your videos ! I really appreciate your comment "You can do That !" Thanks !
Just subscribed. You explain the process really well. Looking forward to see more of your work.
Thank you ! there are 181 videos on my channel, there should be something you like.
My 1955 Nomad “project car” gets delivered tomorrow. I know the bottoms of the front fender are rusty and probably will need this kind of repair. Nice video!
1955 Nomad, nice !
I have had 55 Nomad since 1974, and I'm building another 55 Nomad from a 2 door 210 with a California frame. I'm redoing all the metal from the A piller back. I'm hand forming a lot of metal by hand and know every square inch of that car.
Would you consider making a similar presentation for TIG? That is the only welding process I use because there are no sparks...safety in my shared garage being of paramount concern. Also would be really great if you could add a few elements of reality: patch in an area of unsupported flat sheet metal so especially prone to deformation from weld heat, limited backside access to strip the original factory coating, fit up good but some areas with 1/16 gap, and welding in the vertical position. Assume 19 gauge parent metal. In the case of my particular request the technicalities of TIG are not the issue...have no problem making perfect stacked dimes welding 20 gauge coupons with perfect fit up on a welding table.... Your help would be most greatly appreciated!
Ok
Ok
Nice
Thank you Sir !
That was an awesome repair
Thank youn Sir !
Amazing!
Thank you Sir !
World class result. I appreciate you taking the time to explain every step in such depth.
It takes a lot of skill to make this look easy!
Thank you Sir !
Good stuff sir what welder u recomend for a beginer diy i dont want to do it for a living just want to fix my own stuff i done a patch before but this harbor freight core flux aint really cutting it
Can you add shieding gas to your welder? facebook market place or craigslist is a source for used welders everlast, hobart are great entry level welders.

Thanks for the awesome comment !
Whatta Pleasure to watch 👀👀👍🏻❤❤❤
That's an awesome comment ! thank you I'm glad you liked it, I hope it can help you !
Great job! I have a couple of questions:
1. How do you get your welds so flat? I have a Lincoln 140C power mig, use the settings listed on the wire door, use 75/25 argon/CO2, bare metal grounds, and a 1/16" gap. I almost always end up with a 1/16" - 3/32" high weld.
2. When you're welding between your spot welds how do you do it? A single spot weld, a small run of 1/4" - 1/2".
Thank you.
Thanks !! the key is fit up and prep, try turning the weld up to the next setting, keep in mind that burn through will be easier.... Get set up some practice coupons and practice. Try that out and let me know.
👍👍👍
Thanks !!!
Can you please list out the grits you used in the various stages of sanding both before and after you were welding? Also, what type/size wire did you use with your Mig? Thanks for the video and help!
36, 80, 120, 220 -I use .035 wire across the board

Beautiful work well explained, appreciated, brother.

Sorry if I may, you said to use a grinding wheel to grind off the welds, what kind of grinding wheel is that? A stone? Tnx
3M 01991 Green Corps Reinforced Weld Grinding Wheel 3 in x 3/16 in x 3/8 in. The best autobody grinding wheel !
Looked good. I usually add a couple drain holes at the bottom because it obviously had dirt and moisture staying there to cause rust. Might as well make a drain hole so it can be washed out easier.
Thanks for the info ! and the comment.
@@guzzifabrication3448 your welcome. Nice work. I just like drain holes to get moisture out and there was never enough. Restoring a 68 cougar at this time myself.

This was great. I have been an auto mechanic for 45 years from farm equipment to race cars and every thing in between.
