Very nice presentation! I love Burns, but I would be lost without annotations. I mean, how would I, an American, derive the meaning of, _Gang aft agley_ without a little help ~LOL~? Also, I am a HUGE fan of Doyle and the first book I read of his, over a half century ago, was _The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes_ . I am fascinated by your description of the Penguin book of Shakespearian passages. Once again, I think some annotations might be helpful, but I'd buy it anyway even if it didn't have any. Your entire presentation was excellent. Thank you! [EDIT] One of my favorite Burns poems which may be in the book you bought is _A Man's A Man for A' That_ . Hope you enjoy it as much as I do [;- )
so cozy and magical! ✨ if you ever do a re-read of the secret history (i feel you about the cover btw, the american cover looks like a corny college workbook called "making connections in philosophy" or something, imo) would any part of you want to make a reading vlog about it? i'm reading it at the moment and i would love to know your thoughts reading it for a second time-but also understand if that's not how you want to consume it!
lolllll you comment about the cover is so accurate! If I am ever able to transfer my thoughts about it into coherent sentences I may incorporate it into a video one day when I reread it!
