Anita's Mei Ling electrical attack really showcases the subtle electricity status effect in the game. It saps meter and if there are any electricity present during a spin out (dizzy) the meter drops considerably faster. The more electricity you have on the player the more it saps. This status effect would explain why Iron Man's special ability with the Soul Gem is the way it is and why Blackheart has three elemental attacks.

He eventually falls to his vampiric urges and becomes Dee, a secret character in the collection. His arcade mode ends in a portrait of an older Anita, and they even do the "3, 2, 1, fight!" thing, but immediately after that, the screen whites out, and it cuts to Anita over a grave. It's implied she put Dee, or Donovan, out of his misery by killing him.

The code is VERY tricky to work (sometimes you may get an up-right or up-left motion). If it don't work try again. If you made this right, Anita will appear. Anita is the little girl that follows Donovan in Darkstalker's Revenge. And she comes with his sword!!! (Only works on Japanese versions).

De hecho, de acuerdo con Darkstalkers Official Complete Works, Dee al fue un concepto que nació cuando Donovan estaba más o menos desarrollado, pero fue rechazado. Después se utilizó en Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection, en PS2, y también exclusivo de Japón. Pero el futuro tanto de Donovan como de Anita están inciertos en el canon. Los cómics de UDON tampoco son canon. La razón por la que Anita está sola aquí es porque fue un personaje de prueba en la versión arcade y se trasladó como un personaje oculto en la versión casera japonesa. También podías jugar con ella en la versión de la PSN (que ya no está). En el primer Marvel vs. Capcom, Anita es un asistente especial y también se encuentra sin Donovan.
