- In this video we will compare the song "Killer Queen" in Queen live, from 1974 to 1985.
"Killer Queen" is a song by the British rock group Queen. It was written by singer Freddie Mercury and recorded for their third album Sheer Heart Attack in 1974. It reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and became their first hit in the United States, peaking at number twelve on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 1975, Mercury received an Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. The song is included in Queen's first Greatest Hits compilation of 1981 and Absolute Greatest (2009). It is also recorded on the Live Killers and Queen Rock Montreal live albums.
Unlike the first two Queen albums, this song was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales. The recording features elaborate four-part harmonies (particularly in the choruses, and also provides backing parts in the verses), as well as a Brian May multitrack guitar solo that makes use of the bell effect. At some point there are two distinct bass lines, one of which diverges in a downward run.
Killer Queen has been described by AllMusic as the very beginning of Queen's "radio sound" and "reminiscent of cabaret songs of the past, but it also shows how Queen were fast becoming a master of power pop."

Especially when it's from an audience recording. (Because you can actually properly hear Freddie and Roger.) My opinion though.

@@doorreviewer7902 I've found ones of the full concert. Not necessarily the one song in specific. They usually have time stamps though.

I like killer Queen live in sun city(10/19/1984)and Birmingham (9/1/1984)
the best version is montreal 81
Killer queen live in tokyo is the best because its untouched by overdubs
Most of these were untouched by overdubs. Live at the rainbow is probably the only one with overdubs.
@@clarenceeugene9692 And probably Montreal, let's be honest (even tho it's my fav)
What did America say “if New York dolls are a poor man Rolling Stones then queen are a tramps The Beatles”
Did Freddie ever hit the high notes on “well versed” live?
As the performances of Killer Queen I've ever saw, I think no
Live he never sang the falsetto on this song like he did on the record.
