This score is diabolical because de minaur played some of his best tennis ever….Man made sinner work hard. Great match by both
Ha spaccato una racchetta da 8000 euri.....😮
1 break per set diabolical?
@@zagortenay114 se de che è fatta d'oro?
similar to last year finals
And its still a straight sets lost, that's "great" you meant is not that kind of greatness😂😂😂😂😂
Sinner's forehand accuracy and ferocity is on another level!
De Minaur was frustrated and running all over the court but he should be proud, he played a great match.
Yes i m an italian fan but de m.has a lot of shots in his bagage, very beaautiful player with a great c0llection of shots first of all the lo bs
@@massimoravaldini1890sì ma... La frustrazione è forte
he was frustrated precisely because he knew he had played well, he said: "playing against Sinner is like trying to solve a puzzle that very few can solve"
@@nicoladc89 alex game style was not enough to crack sinner even when he was outside top 10 ! now he is in god mode....i think only someone like alcaraz who bulldozes sinner out can defeat him !
Jannik is unstoppable. Watching him over the years and then achieving this high level is just jaw dropping.
isso apenas aos 23
vai ser o tenista🏆 da década da vez
one crazy stat that is not mentioned much is that this is Sinner's 24th consecutive set won
spanning from Shanghai Masters to Tour Finals to Davis Cup now
Crazy
16 of those 24 sets are from top 10 players no less
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. He hasn't dropped a set since quite a while.
In-credibile, dall'australia beccavamo sempre, sempre
but he lost a set against alcaraz in six kings slam
I've never been more hyped about a player like I am about Sinner, this man is unreal, it makes my blood boil every time I watch him play! Such a joy to watch. 🙌 I hope his level never drops, he is the dream tennis player embodying everything I like in an athlete, which I could never imagined would've be born during my lifetime.
He's the best, at the level of big three but at same age even better.
calm down mate
Well, everyone has a different definition of thrilling...
I absolutely agree that he is a monstrous tennis player, insanely efficient, seemingly without weakness, kind of like a 2011 Djokovic, probably even better.
Does it make him fun to watch? Not for me. He is battering relentlessly from both sides with tremendous fluidity and power, but besides that, he does not offer many variations. Some perfect dropshots, some good volleys (cause in good position). His serve is lethal as well.
Yep, he is not far from perfection, but perfection may be boring, especially with his ice cold character on the court 😊
Roger, and now Carlos are way more fun to watch for me. Maybe because they are not perfect.
Anyhow, looking forward to watching the 2025 season unfold, starting with the AO. The Sinner - Alcaraz rivalry with a still competitive Djokovic Will be fun to watch.
@@KIBICKE94 the way I look at it is that he is simply a textbook perfect player. Nothing too flashy
@@KIBICKE94 Thanks to his "boring" game, Sinner is revolutionizing the entire tennis scene. Personally, I don’t find him boring with his continuous, smooth, and, above all, precise shots. His cold demeanor is just an appearance; even he can lose his temper (I recall a while ago his barely noticeable gesture of throwing his racket to the ground). These are minor episodes compared to more theatrical tennis players, but with Sinner, they hold a far rarer value.
Props to Alex though. He put a HELL of a fight despite the score.
Ha fatto una partita praticamente perfetta … mettere in difficoltà sinner in questo momento è per pochi 👏
Amazing tennis from Alex... Like a top 5 player
@@robertovisa8818 He reminds me of Lleyton Hewitt...he could be a top-five player with his brand of tennis and athleticism, but for the next-level greatness at the top these days.

Sinner is so freaking solid man, what a player.
Player after player dropping some amazing tennis. Sinner just marches on. He is on another level.
Jannik Sinner. Unbeatable. Bro had that mid 2000s roger and 2010s djokovic aura going on.

De Minaur played perhaps one of his best matches in his career; he remained fully focused until the end of the match.
He has nothing to reproach himself for, he did not lose through no fault of his own, on the contrary! Bravo Alex 👏🏻👏🏻
He played as a Top 5 tonight, impressive (imo)
It’s like you have nowhere to go against Jannik. He is so strong from both wings, and his movement is world class

De Minaur played very well, ran very well, attacked very well, defended very well, used tactical variation very well, served very well against a Sinner with a non working first service...result: 3-6 4-6 and a disintegrated racket...
De Minaur just can't beat real players with that awful forehand technique of his. He should know better by now that he has a hard ceiling to his game that's caused by his own inability to hit properly.
Sinner's first serve percentage was 65%. Hardly "non-working". Amongst top-10 players, only Zverev has a better average than that in the last 12 months. Even Jannik himself is only 61% over the last year. Don't make stuff up...
@@danguee1 61,5%
@@danguee1 below 50 in the first set
Non working first service is bullshit: even if today the percentage was not so impressive he managed to push when it really come to be necessary and this is the most important aspect
Minaur is so damn fast,he was playing great.
But Sinner is too strong.
I cannot wait for the AO25 .
This will be one hell of a tournament .
Mmmh I think sinner is gonna steamroll AO 2025. In 2024 he still had a crazy good Medvedev in the final. Right now alcaraz is the only one giving him trouble but he's too inconsistent to reach some hard court finals... I'm seeing another US Open march by sinner...
@
Well, things change fast in sport ,but even if nothing changes.
AO25 is 50-50 Sinner /Alcaraz.
We didnt see the draw yet ,who knows.
Alcaraz can always beat Sinner ,Sinner can always beat Alcaraz.
We never know if it clicks for Zverev finally in a slam.
I cannot wait for the AO
De Minaur probably had the most incredible match against Sinner but that's not enough, Sinner sees the matrix as a neo. He is in his own universe and only he or Alcaraz or a super motivated Novak can enter it. Great match of berrettini too
Cómo estás. Mi nombre es Carlos Alcaraz.
True. Amazing de minaur
@@johnofavalon1y donde estas ahora?
One of the main reasons of his consistency is the fact that he doesn't waste energy. He wins ~80% of his matches in straight sets (the best way to win a Slam is winning effortlessly all the matches in the first week).
He also seems to only ramp up when its 4-4 because, if he gets the break then, he will be serving for the match. The opposition has no time to get the momentum back.
De Minaur should be proud of himself, he played a very good match with some beautiful defending winning shots.
Sinner is like Spiderman with a racket. Crazy agility and speed. Streamliner.
That's de minaur your talking about
Sinner at this stage is just impenetrable. And his drop shots are becoming more of a weapon too.
De Minaur was Amazing in this match, the strange thing Is that It was not enough to reach even just 5 game in a set...
De Minaur played very good, probably one of his best match this year, still lost two straight set, again not enough to beat Sinner!!
It takes a miracle to beat Sinner these days
it takes Alcaraz

@@Flfaria1992 not really, even so i like Carlitos but to be honest the difference between the two is very big presently, Alcaraz is losing against average players, not the case for Sinner.
@@bicoalmalek8544, then how does he lose to 20-50 ranked players but also manage to win against Jannik? The answer is that he has a shorter peak than Jannik. Alcaraz's peak (in my opinion) is higher than Jannik's, but Jannik can maintain it throughout the year.

The racket smash had to come sooner or later from De Minaur. There's just no way anyone is beating this Italian carrot anytime soon
Zverev at AO promised
The problem for De Minaur is that he has no groundstroke that can consistently damage Sinner. He may be fast, but Sinner is a very good mover as well.
@@linuspohl2379Zverev needs to make it to the final to play Sinner. He could face both Alcaraz and Djokovic before that.
kom op griekie
Zverev and Alcaraz at the Top can beat Sinner and i support Jannik. The spanish and the italian are the one will share the cake for long time( some slice takes Sasha) untill born another Top player on the same level of this 2. I like Shelton and Rune but their problem is the brain because they have the talent to become like Sinner and Carlos but is not enough.
The consistency, power, rotation (spin), margin, and accuracy, are just on another level. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. And Jannik is still young, he will get stronger physically wherever he needs to (his team will work on that with him). He's already way above most other players. It will be interesting to see him when he is at his absolute peak, whenever that is. But he's still getting better, even now. Just incredible. FORZA ITALIA!!!!
9-0 H2H is crazy
I think Hewitt should have put someone else in this match. Now I know Sinner would have beaten everyone but Popyrin might have like 2% chance. De Minaur had zero.
@@samnovak3024Yeah ,, thought he would play Alexi Popyrin,, as Sinner has never lost to ADM.
@@samnovak3024Hewitt cannot make that change since rules are the best ranked players in their respective countries should face each other… Hewitt should have put popyrin instead of Kokkinakis against berrettini though
@@stefanosalariaceNo, he could have. The only rule is that lower ranked player plays first match and higher player plays second. Since Kokkinakis(n77) played first match, Hewitt could have chosen De Minaur, Popyrin or even Thompson for the second since they ale all ranked higher than 77.
No, Demi had to play Jannik as he is the highest ranked of those remaining players (Popy, Thompson).
Now this vicious FH dropshot Sinner has added to his already impeccable game is becoming kinda scary🥶🥶
Daemon plays like a folk from 80-90s with his movement when shooting big or carving a slice. Surprisingly effective and that lob! Oh! But Assassiner is a something else.
Congratulations for the fairly balanced highlights. Great job.
Sinner is pretty much the perfect tennis player. Di Minaur played great and the match was closer than the score makes it seem.

man...I know this is easier said than done but, if any of these guys even want a sliver of hope to beat Sinner, Keep it away from his forehand! geez!! definitely one of the best forehands, if not theeeee best in on the ATP side

Sinner is another level
De Minaur, n9 at moment, played very well but Sinner make him looks like the easy mode of a videogame

Italy champion
Yes, there is no doubt
Sinner reigns here
He can play long rallies and frustrate his opponents like Medvedev, he can suddenly hit a powerful forehand to throw them off-balance and finish it off at the net like Nadal, he can hit a dropshot out of nowhere like Alcaraz, he has a solid backhand like Djokovic (both in offense and defense), and a massively improved serve; no wonder he's the best player ATM.

Great effort Aussies you have done us proud
Finally we put online one by one, 🔥❤️🇮🇹❤️🔥
I felt it from that raccquet smash. He really wanted to win and not let his team down. So much emotion that exploded at the end.
Yeah, but by that last point, the match was over anyhow, and I guess that Alex was disappointed at having missed a routine second-serve return, and his frustrations boiled over at that misstep. For me however, not letting your team (and country, in this case) down is more aptly shown in keeping one's composure and sportsmanship throughout the contest, and not smashing the racquet at all. In the Davis Cup tie format, one nation is going to lose, and a participant shouldn't have to win to gain the pride and respect of his teammates and compatriots. Showing the full measure of class, fair play, and respect that professional tennis stipulates during and after a match well played should suffice; Alex was 99% of the way there, to be sure.
@@hiwayman981 Very true. Also losing 8 H2H is extremely frustrating too. Everything just came toppling down after missing the routine second serve return.
None of the top pros can trade backhand cross court with Sinner. That option has to be removed from the equation. They need to come up with other creative options to deal with Sinner on that wing.

I love it that some players even though they have lost the 1st set and are 5-2 down in the 2nd still shake the fist saying yeah I'm still gona win this.
I don't know why Popyrin is not the one playing, because if he's healthy, Popyrin stands bigger chance to make the day more difficult for Jannik. But really, the tie is mostly decided on the first match since it's the must win match-up for Australia
