These gems are always taken from the territory of third-world countries in Africa and Asia, only to be sold off in first world countries for staggering amounts of money. The people whose land was dug up to find these gems, and the person whose hands dug it out of the ground, aren't seeing any of these millions.
I personally don't see the appeal of these expensive gem stones. I wouldn't even spent £10 on one. A computer or car would benefit my life by a considerable margin. A small stone wouldn't give me any more joy outside of selling one at a high price.
Indians: Please Saaar, return to us the Kohinoor diamond which you stole from us Sunak: We also took Ladakh and South Tibet, would you return them to China? Indians: But Saaar, South Tibet and Ladakh belong to India since ancient times. We will never return them, NEVER Sunak: Very well then, likewise we shall keep the diamond. Tataaaa👋
Clearly the wumao who complained about this auction, refused to understand how mining works. He will be silent if the mining company is a motherland company mining in Mozambique and the auction is held in HK, but since it's not a motherland company and auction isn't done in HK, he pretends to be concerned about "third world Asian and African countries". I guess he'll be surprised if he learns that some motherland mining companies also do their mining business in third world African and Asian countries, with exact same methods and even regulations.
But these are the rubies of this mortal world, and the rubies of the Hereafter in Paradise are more valuable than the rubies of this world, because the life of this world is a mortal life, so if one becomes the owner of the rubies of the whole world, we should think for the Hereafter Which will be eternal life forever. And the ruby of Paradise will be only for those who obey the commands of Allah and not for disobedient people, and those they are disobedient to Allah will be deprived of it.
Found in Mozambique, which is a country in Africa. This world would be broke without the continent of Africa. FYI....The mining company Fura is owned by an Indian man name Devi Shetty. How much money did he pay to the Black people (more than likely children) in Mozambique who worked in those dangerous mines to find this precious stone?? 🤔
Imagine the worker who digged for days and found this was recieved only 10dollar.
the grim reality of the jewelry industry is why nobody should support it
Yeah because they don't own the digging rights
@@Sleepingcoffee979 they can't even hide one in their pocket.

Children in Africa starving and someone buys the philosophers stone for 34 million
If I was the one who found this ruby.I would hide it and sell it in the black market and get at least 6 mil.

It's not necessarily appeal, it's for investment and also status

Ruby’s glow under a uv light. I wonder how bright this one glows
I thought world's largest ruby is human-sized and has a star on one of the eyes.

What a waste of money, even if I was a billionaire I wouldn’t buy that. It serves 0 purpose except to say “I have this and you don’t”.
Kortopi from The Phantom Troupe used gallery fake on it!
Naming it after the mining company that found it kinda diminishes its brilliance in my opinion 😐

Please I beg you that you wouldn't involve that ruby from the black market, even through your info is totally clean and clear messing. ******
It's probably plastic

Did the person who found this ruby get anything?
No, white people take everything
Obviously not or maybe small amount
Imagine the amount of earth needed to be excavated and the harm done to the environment in order to find this one ruby.
And from some poor worker who probably got paid $2 for finding it.

Stupidest things humans have ever done. This is one of 'em.
Was it bought by an Indian?
For Modi's private collection no doubt
