Been looking forward to this one! I like how you incorporated the heat actions into the neutral special. I think it'd be funny to have one of Kiryu's smash attacks be him pulling out a random object to smack people with, like a bicycle or shop sign. Giving Kiryu a taunt where he pulls out a mic and sings a few notes of karaoke would be sublime given how iconic the karaoke minigame is to the Yakuza franchise. Speaking of taunts, it'd be funny if Kiryu had one where he threw off his jacket (that acts as a weak projectile), briefly posed, then immediately pulled another jacket out of nowhere to put on. Giving Kiryu an alt based on Ichiban Kasuga would also be pretty neat.
Can you do another one for Goro Majima? He's pretty fun to play as in 0 and I hope a character concept of him would make him as fun to play in Smash Ult.
With the Majima win screen You know how some win screens keep moving after they are done well you could have them fighting each other in the background (Also I would like a Kiryu-Chan! From Majima please)
I think instead of the Y0 suit and gold suit it should be Akiyama's suit and Saejima's clothes. Not only would it provide a wider selection of colors, but it would also make the implementation of the respective character's spirits easier.
if we were to ever have the miracle of Kiryu in Smash, I really hope his music set includes Machine Gun Kiss and Judgement...and of course Majima singing 24 Hour Cinderella.
This idea was stuck in my head for months and The easy way to put Kazuma Kiryu In a Fighting Game is Blocked All Female Characters in the roster, and he Fights Male Characters Only When You Select Kiryu, when you pick a female character, Kiryu is Blocked, so it sounds pretty simple 👍

@Mr_Hopples That didn't happen. The producer said that specifically in regards to Tekken and also said there were exceptions to this. Just a few months before this he said he loved the idea of Kiryu in Smash
For the Normal Rush combos, I think it would be more intriguing if you can add both the Oryu and Legend style combos depending on if you are locked on or not. If not locked on, have the Oryu style combo. If locked on, have the Legend style combo.
To be honest, a real Kiryu in a fighting game is pretty broken even if he has no special power Dude have tiger drop + the ability to chain command grab from an attack And lets not talk about dragon engine Kiryu in Kiwami2
I came very close to adding his Taxi Driver outfit, but I wanted to keep a suit aesthetic as that's mainly what Kiryu wears. Had I branched out a bit, I probably would've added it along with his Onomichi outfit from Yakuza 6.
I Know this will NEVER happen; since Kiryu DOESN'T hit women. . . But It's still nice to see people come up with movesets he'd have if he WAS allowed to be in ANY Fighting game. . .

There is no way that Kiryu hitting women can be magically sorted out. Unless they do some SNK Heroines inverse BS and suddenly have every female character magically turn into a male, there is no practical approach to solving the problem which is only further displayed due to how the idea I provided now is literally the best idea that I could come up with and is obviously still ridiculously clunky and impractical in concept. Instead, the options really are as simple as, they have changed their mind or they still don't want Kiryu hitting female's, which as much as I disagree with the sentiment for a multitude of reasons, is the more likely option out of the 2.

Still is something that is a arbitrary claim that is defeated by the events of the series he hails from at best and completely ridiculous and (if you want to play devil's advocate) mildly sexist at worst.

This was a perfect Kiryu set! Amazing job! I’ve actually had ideas floating around for a Majima set of my own, and this helped solidify some ideas.

From what I understand, the comment the creator made wasn't outright deconfirmation, just a worry that needs to be sorted out.
